Warranty and Service
My 83-year-old father purchased a car from this garage a few months ago and was initially very pleased with both the vehicle and the service he received.
A few months later, the driver's side wing mirror became loose and the mirror glass fell out of the housing. When he took the car back, he was informed that the mirror had previously been glued in place and that vibration had caused it to come loose. This suggested that the issue existed before he purchased the vehicle.
Given that the car was supplied with a warranty, my father reasonably expected this repair to be covered. However, when he collected the car, he was presented with a bill for £350 for the repair work.
We feel this should have been covered under the warranty, particularly as the fault appears to have resulted from a previous repair rather than anything caused during his ownership. My father was left disappointed and confused by the situation, especially as he had trusted that the warranty would provide protection against exactly this type of issue.
While the sales experience was positive, our experience when dealing with a warranty claim has left us questioning whether the warranty offered provides the level of cover customers might reasonably expect. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would be reluctant to recommend the garage to family and friends.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for what has happened regarding your father’s vehicle and, in particular, the £350 charge for the wing mirror repair.
Having reviewed the circumstances, we completely understand your frustration and disappointment. This situation should never have occurred, and we are genuinely sorry that your father was placed in this position, particularly after initially having such a positive experience with us.
It is especially concerning that the mirror had previously been glued into place and that the subsequent failure appears to have resulted from that earlier repair. Given the circumstances and the warranty provided with the vehicle, we fully appreciate why your father reasonably expected this issue to be covered.
We would also like to apologise for the way the matter was handled. An internal procedure has failed in this instance, and we accept responsibility for that. This should have been identified and dealt with appropriately before any charge was presented to your father. We are taking this very seriously and will be rectifying the internal procedure immediately to ensure that this type of situation does not happen again.
Most importantly, we will be issuing a full refund of the £350 repair charge. We hope this goes some way towards demonstrating how sincerely we regret what has happened.
We are particularly sorry that this experience has affected your confidence in us and has left you questioning the level of service and warranty protection we provide. That is absolutely not the experience we want for any customer, and certainly not for someone who had previously been pleased with both the vehicle and the service received.
Please extend our sincere apologies to your father. We are very grateful that you have brought this matter to our attention, as it has highlighted a failure in our internal process that we can and will address.
Once again, please accept our profuse apologies for the inconvenience, confusion and disappointment caused. We hope that, following the refund and the corrective action we are taking internally, we can restore your confidence in our garage.

Nice car dealership
The atmosphere at the dealership felt welcoming, and there was no sense of being pressured into making a decision. It made the process of purchasing my Audi A6 Avant much more relaxed. Car wasn't quite as clean as expected after valeting. Small places had been missed Small scratches inside read door. Under bonnet had been missed, Overall I was quite satisfied with car .Staff were helpful and friendly. And answered all questions.
