Went with YBS as wanted an offset mortgage. Good customer service, easy to get hold of team via email or phone. Mortgage process involved gifted deposit but was still straightforward.

Unhelpful and slow to respond
Apart from initial good interactions with YBS staff when first applying the customer service has been awful, passed over to their appointed conveyancer who have been slow and extremely unhelpful during the process of remortgaging to redeem my help to buy loan. Absolutely no contact from YBS themselves during this latter stage. Not sure about a standard mortgage application but I would not recommend them for help to buy applications.
