Although a long online process, which is to be expected, I didn't find out what was required until the process had begun, so a list of requirements upfront would have been helpful. Then again, maybe I just missed it. I'm not very tech savvy so the end result was a triumph for me.

My initial experience of setting up my remortgage with Rory and the team has been brilliant, but since the offset mortgage has completed all customer service contact has been terrible.

I have been trying to chase up my additional offset account application and my dad’s offset plus application. Each time someone says they will look into it and call me back. No one has called me back and the accounts have not been opened. It seems that the paperwork has been lost. No one wants to proactively do anything. The forms were sent and received on 29th July. Mortgage opened 28th August but still no addition offset account opened. I have raised a formal complaint now, but at the moment I have just received random emails and texts saying the complaint is being looked into. How difficult is it just to open the accounts I have requested using the process you have to use for these accounts.

Opened a savings account with YBS as they offer excellent rates. It was also so nice to go into a physical branch, talk to real (friendly and knowledgeable) people in a world that is all impersonal chatbots and call centres. A hark back to a more personal, community focused world. The branch I delt with was in Haywards Heath....I hope it stays open!

I am a happy customer.
I can either manage my account in branch or online too which gives me the best of both worlds.
I am pleased there is still an open branch of this building society in my local town.

Although I am not good with computers, I was able to use the YBS website fairly eagerly, and each account was raised without too many problems.

Financial advisor was very helpful and it is easy to make and keep track of payments

Easy way to open a cash isa compared to other banks and building societies

The staff were really helpful and having a branch in Cromer was really convenient. The staff saw me almost immediately and sorted out my new bond and ISA. Such good convenience and helpfulness.
