Democrats, Those texts are phishing scams.
Democrats. Don’t believe this. It’s just the other party trying to take your money. If you really want to donate to the Harris/Walz campaign, the official website is kamalaharris.com
I don’t donate to either party
Act Blue got my phone number because my mother made a donation and we’re on the same bill. I get repeated spam texts including some at midnight, all with links to Act Blue. I sent them an email asking them to remove my number and they replied “Oh we don’t handle that! We use third party contractors.” Ever since I complained I now get up to 10 texts per day.
DONATIONS GO INTO A BLACK HOLE
I have been giving donations to a number of Democratic candidates over the past year or so.
They have my telephone number and my email.
But, I cannot get a receipt for my donations. And, although they have my email and phone number, they don’t recognize me when jI try to sign in.
Some of the texts I get for contributions clearly state that the solicitation is, and I quote… Paid for by ActBlue (actblue.com) and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.
So, where does the money go when I get a text from ActBlue soliciting money for candidate Harris.
I beginnl to think that they are a money making scam.
Donation Rip off
I did a ONE TIME donation only to see a monthly bill for the amount show up. Somehow ActBlue changed the box of " donate once" to monthly. I DID NOT AGREE and I will never donate via this company.
The credit card company won't help,, I have to contact ActBlue,,you blew it with this voter.
Compelled to Write a Review
I felt compelled to write a review given some of the negative reviews about ActBlue. I started donating via ActBlue back in 2020 and have continued donating regularly to many candidates since then. I have had ZERO problems with this system. I just made a donation today.
I read the reviews way back in 2020 before I began donating, so I paid attention to be sure to mark the box that says donate ONE time (never monthly). If I wanted to donate again the next month, I simply selected donate ONE time once again. SIMPLE. Never did ActBlue take a payment I did not authorize nor did they tip themselves. Sometimes I left them a tip, sometimes I didn't. My credit card sends me notifications with each donation. So I am not experiencing the same problems those negative reviewers are having. Blessings to them.
Now do you wind up getting a lot of emails? YES. But I don't read them, I simply delete them. And in one case I unsubscribed, and was surprised it took effect quickly. And yes I get text messages but I block and delete them. I don't even read them. Every politician wants your money! BUT, you have ultimate control over whether to donate.

I donated $3 and they took $25 out of my account which was part of my food money because I live on SSI and 73yo. They have no person to talk with just voice and e mail. Still haven't heard from them. Donate directly to Kamala Harris and don't use Actblue. They are scammers. Report them to FTC and to Kamala Harris e mail address so she will know. and here too if scammed.

After making a one time donation thru ActBlue two weeks later they put it in again, this time as a repeating donation and gave themselves a tip.

I wish 0 or even negative numbers were available to rate them. I keep getting multiple solicitations daily. I unsubscribe, and still get the email ads.
Hate Act Blue
Smarmy emails, toxic work environment for employees. Continue to milk prior contributors.
ActBlue won't stop sending requests
I did want to contribute to the campaign, but ActBlue doesn't stop sending requests for more money and if you click on it, there are no options to decline. I am not rich and this is not very tasteful. I will go to the candidate's actual webpage and donate that way from now on.
Make one donation, get non stop texts pleas from every campaign
Make one donation and get flooded with everyone who’s running any campaign across the country! My text is constantly ringing from orgs and candidates that got my info from ActBlue.
If you want to donate try going directly through the candidate’s website if possible! Donating through ActBlue is like being stalked for money. Any survey you might want to participate in, ends with a plea for money.
How can they do better? Have a box to click or unclick that gives you the choice of whether you want to opt in for other campaigns. Simple…
Privacy compromised!
I made donations and a clever family member found it on FEC.com and told me that Act Blue has some relationship with China. If I had known that Act Blue shared my information with the general public I would not have donated. This caused me a lot of stress. I can see sharing donation amount with a government agency but not the public.I feel like my privacy has been violated and I'm mad as hell. Shame on you Act Blue!
ActBlue are using people's name
ActBlue are using people's name, without their knowledge and/or consent, to donate to Kamala Harris. They should be held accountable!
I define wanted to donate to Kamala…
I definitely wanted to donate to Kamala campaign! I did my donation, took a deep breath and I thought I was done and walked away from the computer with excitement! WRONG! These people are harassing me and sending text and emails every hour. They ask questions and once you answer them it takes you back to a donation page! I also noticed they ask for tips! For what reason? Why should I tip these people? Finally. to add insult to injury, I signed up to do a small monthly donation and they still beg for more money everyday🤷🏽♀️🤔 Don’t donate through them, it is better to make your donations directly through the campaign headquarters or drive to one of them!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I tried to donate $50 to DNC. The site said there was an issue with my password. I went out and back in and tried again. Said the same thing. But...the charged me $50 twice anyway. I made a customer service request a few days ago. Still not resolved. Had a different issue with them last week.
BOGUS REVIEWS
BOGUS REVIEWS! ActBlue is a great place to support democracy. I have successfully donated to it several times without issue or complaint!
1000 text messages begging for money
2020 I gave 100 to the Bide campaign through ActBlue. Since then I've received over 1000 texts and emails begging for more. Don't make my mistake, there's no way to stop it. Also my brother has the same thing happening to him. I believe there's a way to contribute anonymously under 100. I would look into that if your like me and want to help stop Trump. Also there's also scam sites asking for money so be careful
ActBlue Scammers
You have only to use ActBlue once to have everybody from dogcatcher to any person in every state begging for money. Yesterday, I gave a substantial amount and, of course, came "the tip." I clicked on the link to opt out but they charged me anyway. I have a Resolution Center dispute in today. Deleting the account to get my cell # out of circulation from the flood of begging on my phone.

They sell your text to about anyone- i get 30+ texts a day and always click junk or STOP, but they persist. I will never give another dime to politicians again- corrupt beggers that couldn’t get a real job if they tried
