ANTS HQ  Avis 

I ordered a Myrmica rubra colony (1 queen, 30–50 workers and brood) along with some other items on 7th October and paid for next-day delivery. Five days later it still hasn't arrived, and I haven't had a single update on my order.

I've emailed and messaged AntHQ on every platform I can find. The only reply I've had was to a comment I left, and that was over 24 hours ago with nothing since.

I understand that live ants can't always be shipped straight away. Weather, the colony's health and avoiding weekend transit all matter, and I'd much rather wait than have them arrive stressed or dead. But a quick message saying when it's likely to ship would have been enough. Paying for next-day delivery and then hearing nothing is frustrating, especially when live animals are involved.

I'm giving 3 stars for now because I can see lots of positive reviews, so I'm hoping this is a one-off. I'll happily update this review once the colony arrives and I can see what condition it's in.

Great website, great communication and awesome products! The team were so nice when I reached out with a question about a gift for my nephew and I was so happy when it arrived in 2 days. The ant nest I bought was really fun to build with him and his new ants settled in happily :)

Ants hq have been amazing . From choosing in the online shop .. with loads of valuable information. To them delivering quickly ..
Anything iv needed to know or understand they hqve been there to help me. Which has helped massively ..I wont go anywhere else now. Thanks Antshq

I’ve been keeping ant for quite a while now and over the years i have learned a great deal. The most important thing I’ve learnt is that a good start is everything, a healthy queen. So if you want a good chance of success, go with the best.

Update: since my review, the customer service has been exceptional. They've explained what the problem was with the communications and have done everything possible to correct this. The company have helped with my endless list of questions and have been able to assist with everything I have needed. I look forward to using this company in the future after today's experience.

Very poor customer service! Have sent multiple emails and messages through there chat on there website with no response. Order has not been sent but they've taken the money!

I have ordered all my ants, nests, equipment from here, every time the nests and equipment arrived, all my queens I got where fertile, healthy and not stressed when they arrived, ignore the bad reviews about dying queens as that is either down to nature (which can't be controlled (life finds a way)) and also down to care. I have only ever had one delayed delivery, but luckily I contacted them and I soon got my delivery, everyone was really helpful and friendly when helping out, (I even was given an extra item (witch I was fine without but thanks ants HQ (: )

If you are getting into the ant keeping hobby then get your ants and equipment from ANTS HQ.

Just recently bought a starting colony with a nest, delivery was prompt when safe to do so (unforeseen high temps in london delayed delivery) nobody can control the weather, and AntsHQ have answered any and all questions I've had no matter how miniscule! queen and workers arrived safely and I genuinely couldn't recommend AntsHQ anymore! one small gripe would be is more youtube/tiktok content showing how to set up the nests as the instructions were a little unclear at times! Keep doing what you're doing its been amazing dealing with you <3

Received my nano nest, water towers and nectar fast and package was nicely packed and safe. Im going to buy more ants today. Thanks

The ants were healthy, frequent compliance… other than that the outside of the tube was
Covered in a white slimy salty substance and the cotton had a few curly black hairs with small circular red patches looked like blood.. overall good service :). 👍

Excellent quality products. Ordered Astrolite (s) Ant Nest Starter Kit with a myrmica rubra colony with 40-50 workers along with some red runners. Red runners and ants came in good condition, and the quality is outstanding for the Astrolite (s) Ant Nest and I love that their are 3 doors so you can expand their space as the colony gets bigger and can keep a variety of colony sizes in there. Couldn’t recommend more, definitely ordering from ants HQ again in the future.

I attended the Ant Farm Workshop with by 12-year old son. What a great time. Really interactive. Cesar was great with everyone!

AntsHQ is an incredible endeavor. The e-commerce side of the business is evolving and expanding remarkably. Furthermore the workshop hosted by Cesar is fascinating and an experience that I would strongly recommend. We have several successful colonies from AntsHQ, most recently a golden honeypot queen and brood.
They were packaged perfectly and everything was just as described.
I love also that they answer any questions really quickly through their online chat.

Fantastic experience, next day delivery was on point, Packaging was excellent and secure and most importantly my Queen and her family arrived safely and in tip top condition.
