Customer service is terrible

Our refrigerator stopped working and parts took some time to get. All ok thus far but 1 hour after repairs completed, it stopped working again. We spoke to Cara in the Bernardsville NJ office and requested the repair technician come back immediately which we were told was impossible. I requested to speak to a supervisor/ manager and am yet to get a call back 3 days later. Multiple other calls also have gone unanswered. The technician came back the following day and couldn't make it work. We may need a new one but I think we should at least have a more senior technician come out and look at it before we purchase a new one. Also do we get a refund for the parts they ordered but didn't work???
The web site touts customer service but we are extremely unimpressed and disappointed.
We got this companies name from a friend and will surely let them and all others know of our poor experience.

Our technicians normally have service calls back to back all day. This being said, once a technician leaves your home it is not possible for him to return unless there is enough time for him to do so. We understand that a non-functioning refrigerator is highly inconvenient for our customers so we prioritize service to these units.

I see that you recently had an unpleasant experience with our company. However, we can send our technician out to your home to follow up with the repair. You would not be charged a fee for this. Please call our office at (800) 752- 7123 if you would like to have this done.

Fast appointment, courteous serviceman, knowledgable!

Called on the phone and got an appointment very quickly. Serviceman showed up right on time and performed a quick but thorough analysis. His assumption that the compressor was dead proved to be true later when I tried to replace some electrical parts myself. Yep, compressor dead.

So it was good to pay the diagnosis fee, at least I know I can put the ice maker to rest and stop trying to salvage it.

Very courteous - will use again! I didn't feel like I was being lied to, which is great.

Setting up an appointment was a bit disappointing since I received several phone calls and some were delayed. The scheduling on line did not work. However, I was pleased with the service itself.

Overall Good Service

Overall, my experience has been positive with Appliance Masters. The person working on our dryer was able to come a day earlier than expected and was very courteous. He was able to find the problem quickly and will be returning next week to replace a broken part. I would feel comfortable recommending this company to others.

A little expensive, but trustworthy

I thought the repairman was good. He fixed up both my washer and dryer and was very dependable. He also exhibited trustworthiness by declining to replace my heating element (which I thought had gone bad) and instead fixing the catch on the dryer door which was causing the real problem. Saved me some money, so I was impressed with his honesty. And he was right! My dryer is great now.

Friendly, knowledgeable but way to slow completing the job.

The repairman showed up on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. After he left it took several days for the replacement part on the washing machine to get ordered. Unbelievable. I was then told that the part would arrive in 2-3 business days and they would call me when the part came in. I called a week later and found out that the part was there but no one had bothered to call to schedule an appointment as promised. It took over 2 weeks for my machine to get fixed and that's a lot of laundry dragged to the laundromat.

Repairs and advice you can trust

The technician was on time and courteous. He was very helpful in diagnosing our problem and giving us advice on how to handle the repairs with the least out of pocket expense. Our 4 year old Speed Queen dryer now has a new motor, covered under warranty as it turns out, and runs like new. I would definitely use Appliance Master again.

honest service

Service and determining what the issues were done in a timely manner. Although parts had to be ordered they arrived and were installed in a timely manner and refrig. now works like it is supposed to.

Outstanding Service Techs

I have had appliance master techs come out several times and it's never the same one. The thing they all seem to have in common is that they are honest, easy to talk to (about appliance stuff that I start out knowing nothing about) and incredibly helpful. They not only diagnose & repair but they educate me on how to maintain the appliances and what to look out for down the road. They answer all my questions and really take the time to make sure I understand what's going on and all my options. They're service fees are extremely reasonable as compared to others in our area - nearly 1/2!!! - which is why it amazes me that their techs are so skilled, knowledgable & really nice. You'd think they might sacrifice integrity to keep their charges down but they don't. You have to try these people next time you need a repair.

OUTSTANDING

From my first phone call to set up an appointment all the way to calling to pay my bill my experience was great. I even got a half a page letter explaining what my tech did and why it my fridge broke. I would use appliance master for everything I can use them for.

The worst experience

They wanted to charge me a service fe twice because I wanted a repair estimate for 2 grills. The repair estimate was over $500 more than another estiimate I received. Don't call them and definitely don't pay them to come to your home. It seems like make all of their profits through estimate charges. BAD EXPERIENCE
