I saw a beautiful shirt in the Yorkshire Post magazine but was unable to attend the Aurelie pop up shop in Harrogate. I contacted Lucy and arranged an appointment with her. The clothing in fantastic and very reasonably priced. I came away very happy with 2 items. 😀

Supermarket quality at boutique prices.
I bought a blouse: it was £59.95. When it arrived the fabric and buttons were so cheap it looked and felt like a £15 blouse you’d get from a supermarket so I didn’t even bother trying it on. Supermarket quality at boutique prices I was not impressed. I had to pay postage on top (not refunded) and also had to pay for my own return postage- also not refunded. So read your refund and return policy and also the fibre/fabric content (looked like a silky soft cotton feel -actually 100% polyester with tacky cheap gold buttons- horrid).

Dear Deborah,
I'm so sorry to hear that you were displeased with your purchase from Aurélie and so much so, that you did not wish to try it on. We try to describe each garment as much as possible to compliment the photography as we are an online only brand. The blouse you bought is described as having a pinstripe running through the fabric and made of 100% polyester. I am slightly confused as to where you read about in the description that it has a "silky soft cotton feel", please could you share this with me?
We do like to take into consideration all customer feedback and I agree I would love to be able to offer free postage and returns however we are a small independent clothing brand, so we are just not at that stage at the moment sadly. All our pieces are sourced from Paris, we try to be as fair as possible when it comes to pricing, as we cover all the customs and duties taxes to import the clothing following Brexit. We do offer a 10% off your first order when you sign up to our newsletter, which then usually covers the cost of your first postage, I see that you did not use this code, so as a gesture of goodwill I will refund you 10% of your order. In regards to not refunding your return, we do clearly state on the website that customers are responsible for their own returns. Free returns is something we would love to offer in the future, once we are at the stage, to be able to do so.

Beautiful dress
The dress I purchased from Aurelie is beautiful. It is such good quality. It has a nice fit, loose but not too loose and is flattering around the bust with a deep V. I really like the fact it has a collar. A timeless piece that can be worn many ways.

Aurelie is a delightful independent online boutique for all those discerning women looking for something unique. Having ordered a couple of times, I can confirm the clothing is stylish and of high quality that never fails to impress. I absolutely adore my Felice blouse that I recently purchased, so pretty and feminine. Plus, they provide excellent level of service and speedy deliveries, that everyone loves these days!
