I successfully challenged this company with my bank. Their demands for photographs and insistence that I must pay to return a poor quality and faulty item were found to go against the uk consumer rights act in my case. This is because I clearly described the faults to them when advising them of my request to return.

I very much doubt that they will change their process for one case but may it give others the confidence to challenge them too.

Edit: noted that Berrymere provide no contact details in their response so their offer to resolve is rubbish. It’s already taken over 20 emails to get to the point where I gave up and just went through my bank. Interesting that they want to resolve it only now that my review is live.

When Berrymere found out I had contacted my bank they retaliated with a very nasty and threatening email where they tried to make me withdraw my claim. Very glad I stuck to my guns and pursued it.

I very much doubt the validity of any of the positive reviews for them and notice that they all use a similar phrasing which is suspect. I truly urge anyone not to use this company and if you do, don’t comply with their ridiculous return demands - you don’t have to send them photos or pay to send it back to China.

NOT a UK based company, the returns process is not compliant with the UK consumer rights act and they say you need to pay the shipping to China. There should be a 14 day returns window when buying anything online, and this company do not comply with that. I recommend avoiding them.

As the products come from China and not the UK, they are not the same size as you would expect, they are much smaller and the only 2 refund options I was given were:

Terrible service. Sandals cost £38..arrived in plastic bag after waiting 13.days..very cheap looking and uncomfortable let alone difficult to put on. Needed to return. Was told to.keep them as offered a small percentage off price. Still waiting for return address and now sent to their business address hoping for a refund.

A Chinese company who cannot give you a telephone number for the return address. The parcel will not get through customs without a telephone number and no courier will accept it without this number so you will never be able to return it within 14 days it’s a scam

Very long delivery time. Lack of communication about the delivery. Refund and returns are difficult and unfair! Do not buy from here.

Scam compay who charge triple then order the clothes from temu or SHEIN.

Clothes took 3 weeks to come - completely the wrong size. I requested a full refund and postage to return and they refused even after presenting them evidence that the sizes didn’t match their website. Eventually they agreed I could order another item which I was reluctant to do based of principle… when I gave them the product they said I was now out of date for a replacement. Scam company aweful and should be closed down.

I boyght a beautiful pair of Mary Jane gold and lime green shoes which looked beautiful omg to my shock of receiving them today after 2 weeks and yes so convincing customer service letting me know every step of the way about my shoes being in transit, when i finally received them they looked something out of Temu or Shein which pretty convinced by the level of craftmanship they are from there just under another name
The shoes had velcro fastenings which it did not look so in the scamming photo plus the shoes came sunk in damaged you name it very very very cheap for £30.00 plus considering the scammers made it maje believe that the shoes had been reduced this was why I bought them

Returns on the website say UK - they are NOT. They are to China. UK contact number doesn’t connect.
Quality is dreadful.
My one star is over generous as the AI customer services communication takes over 10 messages to STILL not have a fair solution to a return.

Do not buy from them! I ordered two pairs of trousers and it took pratically 2 weeks to arrive, in very cheap packaging that was damaged. But I would not have minded the damaged packaging if the trousers were what I thought I had bought. To my horror, the two trousers looked cheaper than any other trousers I have ever had in my entire life!!! It's hard to describe how cheap and low quality they look! Plus, they are not the right size, though the label says they are the right size. By reading the reviews as well as their returns policy, I won't even try as their policy makes it almost impossible for you return anything. I guess that trying to return them will be a total headache. I felt scammed!

Okay, but can we talk about the tailoring on this Some outfits just instantly boost your confidence the second you put them on. The silhouette is super flattering, and it genuinely feels like a premium piece. If you’re looking for that one statement outfit to upgrade your wardrobe this season, this is 100% it.

Costs - ordered 2 dresses neither of them any good - only to be told by this company cannot return them as shipping return would be more than I paid for dresses they offered me %15 so out of pocket by over £70

I ordered a pair of 'orthopedic' shoes which were such poor quality. They arrived in a plastic bag, with no box. There is no orthopedic support whatsoever. I paid £42 for them and they were supposedly on sale from £80, but the quality is similar to a cheap market stall.

Finding trendy yet comfortable pieces used to be a hassle until I found this site. Their collection has that perfect minimal, classy vibe that works for both casual days and work. I had a small question about my order, and their customer service team was incredibly sweet and helpful. The clothes look even better in person than they do on screen. Highly recommend Berrymere if you're looking to upgrade your wardrobe!

This company is a China based scam.
I ordered 2 items which took over a month to be delivered. The items were far too small so I asked to return them. I was asked to take a picture of the labels on garment and package but there were no labels showing size or anything. I was then told that to save me returning them they would give me 15% of the cost and I could keep them. If I insisted on returning them I would be responsible for the initial postage plus the return postage to China and I would have to deal with customs which would cost more than the items were worth. So they have you over a barrel. Avoid at all cost.

I purchased some boat style shoes from this website for £46.90. They took over three weeks to arrive, at which point I had a feeling they'd be coming from China. When the product arrived it looked nothing like what was advertised. They looked like something from temu.

i immediately got in touch with the company who have made it as difficult as possible to return the item. They wont provide a free return label. They're advertising themselves as a UK based company yet they're based in china, so for me to pay for a return to china would cost £10-20.

I will be reporting to trading standards.

Easy to use site good selection of footwear quick ordering and free delivery. Pricing, quality and the above made my experience with Berrymere a good one. Thank you

DO NOT use this company avoid at all cost. They are a scam and based in China not Birmingham which is what you are led to believe. Returns and refunds are impossible even though the fault lies with them...their products are falsely advertised on their website.
Do not waste your time and money

I bought two tops .They tookx 25 days to come.The sizing was ridiculous. I'm a size 12 and they didn't reach my waist !
I believed this was uk company.I have contacted customer services as I am not wasting more time and money sending back to China.
I have asked for a refund although am not hopeful.
Please donot waste your money on the company the goods are shipped from China and sub standard.
I might as well have thrown £70 away !
I'm annoyed that I didn't check they were uk based evenbthough they state to be Berrymere Birmingham. Other reviewers haven't received refunds.

UPDATE
I've contacted the company.After sending numerous photos even ones showing items next to a uk size 12 they will not refund.They want another £ 21 and have said I can keep the items and give to someone who it will fit.A 12 year old child is likely to be the only one these tops will fit.
I emailed back stating consumer rights act 2015 and will now have to seek a recall with my credit card.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMANY.They are just taking your money and ifs there's an issue won't refund.

Please note head office is in the USA and clothes sent from China.Website is uk Web address.Alot of companies are doing this it's not illegal but only just.Check the head office if your not sure on the website details.

My order for some supposedly ‘orthopedic”sandals took over three weeks to arrive, without much communication, other than my emails to them and overly polite emails back that didn’t answer my query.
They have now finally arrived and are cheap looking and poorly made. No doubt coming from China or similar, hence the length of time I had to wait for them.
I am thoroughly disappointed and would not recommend buying anything from this company.
