We received our code to our home, 2661 Osceola Street Denver CO, and upon entering the home on our first day of our lease, the house was a complete mess. There are mirrors that still need to be put up, the light switches don’t work, the water wasn’t working, there’s a hole in one of the walls, cables are arry. Tried to get ahold of Damian Steele but have had no luck. I was really excited to move in but now am sad at the state of our house. :(

I run my own company, and I cannot fathom treating customers the way that I have been treated or operating a business this way.

I signed a lease and paid in full upfront for the lease. Upon gaining access to the room, I discovered that it had been misrepresented, was unfit to live in, and smelled of cat urine. I have called repeatedly, sent emails, left texts and voicemails almost every day, and have not gotten any response at all from Bungalow for 9 days and counting.

I have had to figure out other living arrangements even though I paid them for a room in full, and have not been able to get as much as a phone call back. Now I'm in the process of seeking legal help.

Do not rent with Bungalow unless you view a property in-person first, and it's safe to expect that after you have signed your lease you will never hear from them or be able to get a hold of them ever again.

As someone who was initially drawn to the convenience of Bungalow’s co-living service, I feel compelled to share my experience for those considering this option.

The application process is entirely online, which, while convenient, means that Bungalow management lacks a physical presence near the properties. This disconnect became apparent when I moved into a house that was in a state of neglect, with cleanliness being a significant issue until a new housemate’s complaint prompted a much-needed deep cleaning service.

The ease of moving in is a double-edged sword. It allows for a seamless transition but also opens the door for individuals who may not be the most considerate roommates. The lack of vetting and personal interaction means you could end up sharing your living space with people who might not contribute to communal necessities (despite using them as they please) or respect shared areas.

My experience has shown that some residents take advantage of Bungalow’s system, hosting parties without notice or sharing entry codes with non-residents, compromising the security of the home. The company’s policy of remote management means that any disputes or concerns fall squarely on the shoulders of the tenants.

Two separate incidents have notably undermined my trust in Bungalow’s management of tenant affairs. The first involved a new roommate who was granted access to our home earlier than the date communicated to us by Bungalow. This premature move-in, which occurred without any prior notice, raised serious questions about the security protocols and communication standards upheld by the company.

The second, and more disconcerting issue, was discovering that another new roommate had a recent arrest record (in this situation, bungalow did not give us the option to chat with this individual before he moved in). This information was not disclosed by Bungalow, and of course the individual didn’t feel the need to disclose this information to the strangers he’s moving in with either.

While Bungalow may seem like an ideal solution for young professionals moving to a new city, my advice is to proceed with caution. The reality is that you may find yourself living with individuals who are not the best fit for a shared living arrangement (keep in mind the age range can be anywhere from 20-60 years old for tenants). It’s essential to do your due diligence and research your potential housemates, as the company may not provide you with all the necessary information to make an informed decision.

So, while the concept of Bungalow is promising, the execution and management of tenant relations leave much to be desired. If you value security, cleanliness, and a harmonious living environment, you may want to consider other housing options.

The service is really fast and easy communication. I do feel that staff here actually cares about customers and listen to their problems

Andres was very helpful and prompt in answering my questions regarding making sure my application was successful. The whole process was straightforward and easy to understand.

I am not normally one for reviews. But my experience with Bungalow was so unbelievable—and the financial loss to me non-trivial—that I feel it's important to warn others.

I'll be brief: it took them weeks to list my place; they failed to follow-up with people who expressed interest (family, friends and I tested the system both via Zillow and leaving voicemails, and they never followed-up with any of us); they kept decreasing the price, despite not showing my unit, and without consulting me; and when I expressed concern and asked for calls to discuss, they dropped balls, didn't show-up and wouldn't respond.

For malpractice in terms of listing and representing my property and failure to communicate along the way, they get an F.

The good news is, within five days of engaging one of their competitors, I had a signed lease at a price point higher than what Bungalow listed me at. So, I landed with a competent group in the end.

My life was so much easier with flexible leasing alternatives. 10 out of 10!!

We decided to rent a whole home for our group vacation. We could come and go as we pleased without bothering anyone, and we enjoyed total solitude. There was enough living space in the spotless home for everyone to relax. Our fully functional kitchen allowed us to prepare our meals, which saved money and resulted in priceless bonding moments.

Great experience! A few opinions out there but I’m glad i went with Bungalow. My first time doing the roommates thing in a long time…lol. Andres was a great help.

PLEASE IF YOU SEE THIS, DO NOT SIGN THAT LEASE.

First of all, its not a lease, you are “licensing” the room. They raised rent illegally 4 times during my 12 month lease, under the guise of it being a “service charge” and then illegally took away provisions in the “lease” that provided free cleanings included. This caused my rent to go up over $200 in a span of 12 months. Its impossible to reach support, they have no phone number. Only a terrible chat system that does not work. My roommate moved in a random girl, never cleaned, and never showered. Bungalow did nothing about the extra person living there. This company is a scam and I hope they go under.

My sister lives in one of your houses and prior to them moving in it has had flooding issues. Just this last week the basement flooded which is the tenant down stairs and they were told they need to pay out of pocket to fix it. They did not cause the flood as it came from the exterior into the basement as there is a large crack at the concrete wall. The house sits on a slope and has other structures behind it that sit at a higher elevation. This is going to be a mold issue and has damaged personal property Inside the house. Renters insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions due to lack of maintenance and incorrect grading on the outside. This will be a rather substantial lawsuit if it is not covered by Bungalow and the property owner. It may also involve health issues.

Andres Del Carmen was fantastic. He was willing to work with me regarding the lease and payment. Furthermore, he helped connect me with one of the roommates, so I can check out the property and see the room. Everything worked smoothly - I'm very impressed at how streamlined everything was!
