Great experience
Ian was checking over my car, great person to talk to giving me advice and explaining things I didn't know about.
**ABSOLUTE SCUMBAG LIARS! AVOID AT ALL COSTS**
I was given a price for my mercedes cls. They send a vehicle assessor named Cameron from Car Planet? (apparently they work together on purchasing vehicles?). They offered me £2,500 less than the valuation they gave me due to pre-agreed time changes for collection the vehicle as well as for minor cosmetic interior damage which they knew existed from the pictures i shared with them before the vehicle assessor arrived. Their manager Zhain was attempting to haggle the price down. When I told him I was disappointed with how was treated Zhain said, 'To be honest with you Liam my boss will not care about this. The price is the price'
They wasted so much of my time that I reluctantly agreed to a lower price. I agreed a call today with Zhain to arrange a time collect the vehicle at the agreed price. Miraculously zhain has been out of the office since I spoke to him. Strange that they were answering my call when i called from a number their system did not recognise but when i ring from the number held on their system nobody answers.
THEY ARE TIMEWASTERS AND LIARS. TOP TIER COWBOYS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS!
Are offers originally quoted just to get your attention?
So i did the online quote uploaded photographs and had an offer of £19,076 for my vehicle, its 2019 (68 plate) vehicle with low miles of just over 38,000. Now as with any 7 year old car it will not be in mint as new condition, however I would describe as excellent and well looked after for age. I agreed to appointment day and a very polite guy turned up with a colleague he was training to be a vehicle inspector. Now I cant fault these 2 guys whatsoever, just doing their job and very professional. My gripe is the diagnostic they did showed a fault with rear near side passenger door handle lock/open switch. Now this came up 10 months ago at jaguar Maidstone who looked at the handle and concluded there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and they cant fix what isn't broken so it was left and has worked perfectly every single time since. After finding this code whilst diagnostic report was being done I explained this to the cardaddys inspector and he tried the door handle at least 10 consecutive times and it worked every time ( maybe a software update would clear fault who knows ). The inspector called the cardaddy agent and they knocked off £300 to replace handle (joke as it doesnt need replacing). They then proceeded to knock further money off for a tiny gap on rear wheel arch were the arch should be flush against body work there was a 1-1.5mm gap, this is something that jaguar said happens to every one of these cars with age due to fluctuating temperatures and is not a fault. Final offer £18,107, nearly a £1000 pound off for no reason whatsoever. Now yes you can say I shouldn't of sold it then, it was my choice right, the point here is a new handle doesnt come painted and has to be colour coded, then there is 3 days minimum for ordering of said part. Cardaddy/carplanet had the car up for sale instantly, so they clearly came to same conclusion as jaguar and none of the parts mentioned required anything at all. They purposely used any excuse they could to knock the price down off a very good car knowing they were not going to do anything which has infuriated me to be honest. Based on this I cannot recommend this company at all, 3 stars as inspector who came out was very pleasant and just doing his job otherwise it would be 1 as I feel slightly robbed of nearly a £1000 for nothing!!!!.
They offered me a certain amount…
They offered me a certain amount online. Then when they came to see the car the car is excellent condition the guy looking at my car looked at the car in detail. Then did the diagnostic test to see if anything was wrong. My car came up with not serious faults it was a few things like reserve and software. He showed me on the computer i must stay the guy wad very friendly. So I mentioned that my car is still a brand new car and under warranty. He advised it may cost me 200pound to fix or more. Or could be more. Then he spoke to the office and they knocked of 700pound because of these things. I still not heared from the company as they were supposed to collect car on sunday. However in this time I taken it to bmw and it was do to do with software glinch in the system. I am so happy I never sold the car to them a free job and they tried to cut me of 700 pound. All the reviews you read are true do not trust this company.
Beware of Car Daddy – Do Not Trust Them!
I had a very disappointing experience with Car Daddy. They offered me a certain amount for my car online. When their representative came to inspect it, he looked over the car thoroughly and even ran a diagnostic test. The report showed only minor issues, mostly related to the software and some small reserves, which he explained could cost around £200 to fix—or maybe more. He was friendly and showed me everything on his computer.
However, after speaking with their office, they immediately reduced their offer by £700 because of these minor issues. They were supposed to collect my car on Sunday, but I still haven’t heard from them.
In the meantime, I took my car to BMW, and it turns out the issues were just a software glitch—no serious faults at all. I’m so relieved I didn’t sell my car to them.
All the negative reviews you read about Car Daddy are true. They try to undervalue cars and make extra money off minor, often insignificant issues. Do not trust this company.

I had to sell my car due to unforeseen circumstances and CarDaddys made the highest offer by far. I explained the car was still on finance and for this reason I would need to get a personal loan to payout the difference, which I was happy to do so. There were delays from the lender to provide the payout money due to bank holidays which was frustating to say the least. Despite this, CarDaddys stayed supportive, professional and held the offer until the very last moment so I didn’t lose out.
A special thank you to Emanuel and Zain.
Emanuel came to my home, carried out a test drive, and gave an honest, professional assessment of the vehicle. Emanuel was calling and texting me on daily basis to offer advice and to let me know that he would be in the area in case I needed his assistance. Zain was equally excellent, offering clear advice, keeping the offer as high as possible and honouring the original agreed price despite delays beyond their control. He was easy to speak to over telephone, always answered and was very understanding.
I’ve never used a car-buying service like this before, but the experience was smooth, stress-free, and genuinely professional. Any issues came from other companies, not CarDaddys. I’d happily use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

Sold my car to Car Planet and Ian from Car Daddy’s handled the sale.
Ian was super friendly and went to a huge effort of explaining the process and taking me through all of his findings answering all questions with great knowledge.
Thanks Ian!
Good
Ian was very knowledgeable and patient with me throughout the whole process. Even though I was offered less than the auction, he went the extra mile to help with me with a smooth sale experience. Thank you
Excellent experience!
Excellent experience! Ian one of the inspectors, is a very pleasant and personable man. Highly recommend him and this company. Smooth from start to finish! Thank you!
Nightmare
Nightmare, Avoid at all cost. be careful while signing the invoice, its a contract, they will cheat you.
Very Deceptive Pricing
They entice the seller with a high price and then the person that comes for collection spends hours looking for faults that don’t really exist and tries to complicate and confuse the seller. In my case for a small stone chip that was almost invisible on the edge of the bonnet and a tyre that passed the MOT with a note to say it needs to be monitored were pointed out as defects and then suggested that they take £1000.00 off the offer price. Not a very nice bunch of people to deal with. Be careful not to get caught up in their deceptive way of doing business. There are better online buying companies out there to deal with so will never use this outfit again.
Cardaddys is car planet People too
Cardaddys is the same people that run car planet Watford Enfield and Barnet. Avoid Not to be trusted. Don’t believe their fake hype, they are not consumer friendly just money orientated. Have poor experiences of lies and no consumer rights adhered to so far on a car I bought in June, The Miah family have limited companies old and dissolved and new coming out their ears BEWARE
Do not waste your time with this company.
Please be careful with this company. They came in the morning to inspect my car. After a test drive, they plugged in what they called a “car computer” and claimed that my car had many error codes. I did not agree with their test results, because I drive my car every day and there is no way it could have all those problems—for example, TPS, ABS, etc. My car had also recently been serviced and had a health check at the dealer, and everything was fine.
Because of this so-called diagnostic, they immediately lowered the auction price by nearly £2,000. I knew they were deliberately slashing the price, and I was extremely angry. I told them straight away that I would not sell and didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. This guy probably didn’t expect such a strong reaction from me and even insulted me by calling me a “child.” This is personal offence now.
Then, a reversal: after about 10 minutes, he called me back and said they were willing to increase the offer by £500. I still insisted I wouldn’t sell. Another 10 minutes later, their manager finally called and offered £1,000 more. I was still unhappy, since it was still below the carwow auction price. Eventually, they reluctantly added another £300.
In the end, the final price was still about £300 less than the auction figure, but since I had already bought a new car and didn’t want more hassle, I accepted. This was my experience, and I am very dissatisfied.
So, here are a few tips for everyone:
If they slash the price too aggressively based on questionable “issues,” just refuse to sell. They will come back to you.
Because they already paid for someone to come and do the inspection, they will take a loss if they don’t secure your car. You, on the other hand, lose nothing. I asked carwow, and legally you are not obliged to sell. Of course, everyone’s situation is different, so you can check with carwow directly. Good luck everyone.
Disaster
The most unprofessional, unorganised disaster of a company I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with alot of them. The left arm hasn't a clue what the right arm is doing. It has been like pulling teeth to get this crowd to view my car and do what they claim to do. I don't take pleasure in writing negative reviews but I'm sorry a complete waste of my time.
What a SCAM
What a SCAM! Avoid at all cost!
They never showed up to appointment. Then gave shady excuses about people off sick, and later mistake in booking time. I rescheduled for following day and had this confirmed in writing twice. After waiting for one hour today I get a call that they misbooked it for a different day again. So unprofessional and incompetent!
Absolutely terrible experience . Not a truthful person
Absolutely terrible experience – do not trust this company!
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst inspectors that CarDaddy could have sent to me. Rude & dismissive. The so-called “inspector” - Ian, who assessed my vehicle was completely incompetent, unprofessional, and had no clue what he was talking about. It was beyond frustrating dealing with someone who was clearly more interested in ripping me off than actually inspecting my car properly.
My car was in a fabulous condition. no engine issues, no major cosmetic damage, nothing—but that didn’t stop them from making up complete nonsense to justify slashing the price down as much as possible.
1. First, they claimed that a tiny mark on the rim of the doors (where you open the door and sometimes take off a little paint) meant the entire car doors needed a full-body respray. This was one of the most ridiculous claims I’ve ever heard.
2. Then, they had the audacity to say the front bonnet needed a complete respray due to pebbles on the road leaving small marks. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. The car ran smoothly with no faults, yet they tried to paint it as a problem by saying it was ‘a hard drive on the road affecting the driving on the steering wheel.’ I pointed out that the vehicle was a Vauxhall Adam Sport (special edition) & that his comments were very much opinionated.
I can only guess that they get paid a commission based on how much they can knock off the original valuation. So, instead of fairly assessing my car, they were actively looking for ways to devalue it as much as possible just so they could make more money.
When I disagreed with Ian, he became rude telling me he knows more about car conditions than I ever would! He was dismissive, and couldn’t even back up their absurd claims with any real reasoning. It was painfully obvious that he was were there to rip me off.
This company is a complete scam. They will say anything to lower the price and take advantage of sellers who don’t know better. At the end he pretended that his report went to the office and they would decide, then let me overhear him deliberately as he said “I definitely wouldn’t pay that” - he must have thought I was stupid! At the end he offered nearly £2000 less than they originally offered. I told him to leave and that he was wasting my time . Suddenly the offer increased by £1000 . I still said no & pretended I had BigWantts Your Car, and Motorway coming in the morning in case I didn’t agree a deal. Eventually I agreed a price reduction of £350 under the original offer, but only if the money was transferred to my account prior to him leaving. (I could see this annoyed him but he pretended it didn’t since he was still getting paid !). If you don’t want to be insulted, lied to, and cheated out of your money, stay as far away from Cardaddys Also known as Car Planet Ltd as possible!
Car Daddy’s: Due Diligence Required - Honesty in Question
My experience with Car Daddy's was nothing short of a complete disaster, and I'm writing this review to warn others about their potentially dishonest practices. Despite meticulously documenting all damages on their app with live photos, the subsequent valuation and sales process were handled with shocking incompetence.
I spoke with a representative named Zain, who assured me everything was in order. However, upon arriving to finalise the sale, the salesman, Rio, was completely unaware of the documented exterior damages. This made me feel like I was being accused of dishonesty. While Rio was apologetic, honest, and did his best to help resolve the issue, the fact remains that no one from Car Daddy's contacted me about the discrepancy. The initial valuation was drastically reduced, highlighting a severe lack of transparency. Zain even commended my honesty, promising I would be "looked after," which was clearly a lie.
This entire experience was a shambles. I urge anyone considering selling their vehicle to Car Daddy's to proceed with extreme caution, meticulously document every detail, and demand transparency at every stage. While Rio did his best to assist given the circumstances, the dishonesty I encountered was deeply upsetting. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!
Brilliant experience selling car
Brilliant process, was rapid, simple and got the deal I wanted.
Omar is a star, communicates very well and great at what he does
The best deal we could get, and a very fair experience
What do you need to know:
they deal fairly and treat you with respect
Very thorough inspection, as others have noted they will find faults you don't even know about
Our inspector was Ian, very knowledgeable and friendly - interesting experience to learn
Ended up getting the best price any company was offering- there is some room for negotiation
Overall very worthwhile
Selling through CarDaddys
Have read a few of the small number of negative reviews, and, indeed, they made me be a bit of a skeptic, but here is my two penny worth having decided to give it a whirl....
...the online valuation tool may well give you a higher comparative value than other selling platforms. In my case lower to highest covered a range of 2.2k.
...the inspection is thorough.
...they will find fault codes and imperfections you are not aware of and that may set you up to expect the worst in terms of a revised offer.
...your post inspection valuation will likely change (down)
...but the output value may still be interesting, particularly if you have "shopped around" and found their online value to be competitive in the first place
...my offer price was lower than the online tool value, but still worked out as competitively superior to other options. It was just shy of what I "really" hoped to achieve.
...if you are happy, they will issue an invoice and pay same day.
....the car then sits with you until they come and collect within 48 hours.
...you can counter-offer, just be realistic about their value and your value expectation and don't expect a huge uplift necessarily.
....they seem to buy to resell as Car Planet. Experiencing it first hand, means I will see what Car Planet are offering for sale when I next am looking for a car - the car should have gone through a thorough inspection and had material defects remedied.
Special thanks to Sultan for keeping me engaged so that I gave it a try.
It worked for me in my circumstances.
Hope you find the info useful.
