Something wrong with milk
Hello,
I recently purchased a multipack of Cow & Gate ready-to-feed bottles from Amazon. I’ve noticed that several bottles contain large white clumps/chunks that do not disappear even after shaking well. I’ve attached a photo of one of the bottles.
As this is formula for my 3-month-old baby, I’m concerned that the product may not be safe to use. Could you please advise whether this is normal, or if there may be an issue with this batch?

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
The issue you are seeing is likely to be caused by the small particles of fat and proteins which are naturally present in this formulation. Over the product's shelf life, these particles can rise to the surface of the liquid. This is a completely natural process and, to reassure you, when this happens the product is still within the nutritional standards we would expect and is safe to use.
We recommend storing the product in a cool, dry place. If the bottle has been exposed to warm or hot temperatures for a period of time, it can increase the likelihood of this occurring. However, if the milk tastes or smells different to normal, we would advise that you do not use the product and dispose of it.

Went with cow gate due to other parents…
Went with cow gate due to other parents recommending it and also very positive reviews. Since our daughter was born we have used cow gate at first it seemed fine few days she gets pretty ill projectile vomiting and refusing to drink. One pot I opened smelt like gone off egg even tho the date on the pot weren’t till October once we stopped using it and went to organic formula she has been completely fine. Highly would not recommend. Go for organic formula instead

Poor knowledge of supply chain
UPDATE...I Have tried to reach Cow and Gate by DM and the site keeps crashing....no way to connect to them
I contacted Cow and Gate as to where to purchase one of their products as all our local major supermarkets did not...this was my emails to them, their reply...I was not impressed...
Please can you tell me where I can buy your first muesli in thr EH26 Postcode area..I have tried Tedco, Morriston, asda and sainsbury?

Lovely company
I've signed up to the Cow & Gate baby club twice before and never received a Cow & gate cow with any of my children. I messaged the company via WhatsApp and they not only contacted me straight away, they told me they'd send me one for my new baby 🥰

Fantastic customer service from Begonia
I phoned the customer service helpline for advice on feeding my baby on holiday. Begonia was incredibly helpful talking me through all the options for taking ready to drink milk and powdered milk abroad. She also gave advice on how to make up powdered milk abroad. I am really happy with my customer service experience, and feel confident to travel with my baby.

The Anti-Reflux & Regurgitation Formula made my 9 week old baby have severe constipation, to a point where we had to call 111 and see a doctor.

c&g baby club uk customer service helpful
Customer service 'c&g baby club uk' was very helpful. I was confused about the different temperatures needed for different formulas and Prash was able to answer my questions fully and clearly.
Baby's reflux started getting worse at 7 weeks so health visitor advised switching to anti reflux formula. So far it's working well!

Effective formula and great customer service
Our baby drinks Cow & Gate Comfort as he had constipation for a while. This formula solved the issue and our baby feeds well. We travelled to France and we started running out of formula. We couldn't find Cow and Gate in France, so we contacted Cow and Gate Customer Service (I talked with Leanne H). It was easy to contact them via their website, the response was fast, and they were very helpful recommending a similar formula that we could find in France. Thank you Cow and Gate team!

I contacted the Cow & Gate careline…
I contacted the Cow & Gate careline with some questions around their Toddler milk. They were really helpful, took the time to understand my query and how they could help and then provided really clear and simple advise. Blanka was lovely. Only thing id say is the chat box is a bit small, so if the message it quite long it's hard to read it, but thats a minor point vs. the outstanding service.
