Cubitt & West Avis 

I previously wrote a review about this company when their salesman came to take on the property. His name is Robin. He had been very polite and promised excellence Service - two years down the line having had a tenant with them, they did not do their management checks, the tenant has completely destroyed the house to the tune of £8000 ( their own contractors) and they are the worst agent ever. Do not use this agent for your lettings they take your money and they treat your property with complete disregard. Service is appalling and although their salesman was lovely, he is just the front man for the business and the background is absolutely appalling.

Very helpful people, kept me well informed, found two potential buyers and not their fault that both fell through. Doing business with them was always a pleasure not a chore.

Rented a place from them some 10 months ago and it has been appalling service from the start.
Everything I complained about was answered with -"it was in that state when you agreed to take it on".
Plumbing is a huge problem but apparently I need to use less toilet paper?
No water pressure so washing machine wouldn't fill and only sorted out 7 months into the tenancy.
Back fence broken and leaning onto the railway line.
Landlord and staff arrogant and rude. And accept no responsibility.

We were tenants of a property managed by Cubitt & West for 3.5 years. Our point of contact, Marc Steels, and the wider team, were helpful, responsive and communicative. We eventually purchased the property we rented and the team were very supportive in navigating the process smoothly.

I rent my Mum’s house out through Cubitt and West. Big shout out to Marc Steels and the team who have been amazing. I was apprehensive about being a first time landlord, but the support and advice from Marc has helped me immensely. I would not hesitate to recommend this team. Very good people - the rental market needs more of them.

We asked if an administration fee could be wavered as we thought it was excessive to jasmine and thought this comment at the end of her email was totally unnecessary "If you were not happy with your rent due date this should have been something discussed before move in.".....not very good!

Back in May we wanted to purchase a property through Cubbit & West in Pulborough, Unfortunately we were pipped at the post by another purchaser. We did say to Kevin Tuft the branch manager that the should the property come back onto the market please would he be kind enough to let us know.

Eight weeks later and true to his word Kevin emailed to advise that the property we had wanted was unexpectedly coming back onto the market and would we still like to have a viewing.

We jumped at the chance and Kevin who was very accommodating moved his diary around in order that we could be the first people to view the property the following afternoon.

Upon viewing the property we submitted an offer which was accepted and we couldn't be happier.

Kevin and his team went to great lengths to ensure that firstly we secured the property we wanted and secondly that the sales memo and other documentation was completed and sent out the following day.

We couldn't be happier with the service that Kevin and his team provided. Excellent service right from the get go.
We would definitely recommend Kevin and The Team without hesitation.

Katarina and the team have been incredible through the long and often complicated process of selling our flat in Reigate. They have been patient, and the right amount of flexible yet forceful when needed. They are also fantastic communicators. We got lots of updates when we were on the market and they were super proactive with getting us viewings. Particularly compared to other estate agents we have been with before. Once we were in the process of selling the support didn't stop, it was truly brilliant. We really appreciate all the effort that went into this sale and would 100% recommend them to anyone selling in Reigate!

Katie Sheridan (Chichester branch) and her team were very helpful in guiding us through the process of tenants leaving and marketing for new tenants. They are professional and have expertise in their area which is invaluable to us as first time landlords.

I am disappointed with the property management service I received. As part of the service charge, I understand that an annual property inspection is included. However, when the inspection was due, the agent informed me that they were unable to access the property and asked the tenant to record a video instead.
I do not believe a tenant-recorded video is an adequate substitute for a professional inspection carried out by the agent. The purpose of paying for an inspection service is to have an independent assessment of the property's condition.
I would appreciate an explanation as to why the inspection was not completed by the agent and whether any refund or compensation will be provided for the inspection service that was not delivered.
Overall, I am dissatisfied with the handling of this matter and hope the company will improve its service in the future.

We have been dealing with a lovely lady called Lilly Palmer, we are in the process of relocating from East Sussex to Hampshire, and selling our flat to my brother. Lilly has been super responsive with emails, always happy to talk on the phone and when our mortgage advisor let us down with linking us up with their solicitors, Lilly was quick to act and hook us up with their in house solicitors and mortgage advisors so we didn't loose our dream house.
