I asked about a matress and they said yupp we got it .and then they said they dont have it but they can provide one they make for less .I thought thats great but how's the quality they assured it was great.I asked couple more questions and the person got so upset with me for whatever reason and said this ....okay you took up 18 minutes of my time and I am not going to offer anymore do you want this or are you wasting my time .yeah do buisness with these people .fake reviews sure pal oh wait this is a fake one to right of course it is you dont assume responsibility for anything here it comes folks another fake review.

Continuing to lie about their bad customer service

This company says that they have apologized to me for their horrible service and they have also stated that they gave a full refund. They did not, I had to get a refund through my credit card. To this day, they have not apologized. I will write a different review when they have actually done so.

I would really consider making any sort of purchase through them.

The salespeople are friendly when we…purchased the bed

The salespeople are friendly when we were shopping for a bed. We bought two adjustable beds with mattresses.
That is where the service stopped.
They sell a mattress called Kingsdown, and we have never had such a poor quality of sleep in our lives.
They have made the warranty issue available, but only at a cost to us. As seniors, we feel that we have been taken advantage of and not received any resolution for our issue.
Kingsdown Matress company does not deal with the consumer, so warranty issues must go through the provider. Kingsdown told me that Direct Bed is just a clearing house, so of course, they do not care about the customer.
Update:
Now about six weeks later, there is a reply from Direct Bed.
Their information is not correct, and we understand now, that Direct Bed did not inform us of the different hardness/ softness of the Kingsdown mattresses. They only showed us two, but there are multiple firmnesses of the Kingsdown mattresses, which we were not informed of.
We paid a great deal for each exchange and delivery charge, and altogether, Brenda only had two matresses. She also had an upgrade to the bed frame, for which we also paid the additional amount.
The lack of information from Direct bed has caused our issue, but the false information given by them is very concerning.

Brenda Gaudreau purchased a Kingsdown Mattress and Electric bed set from us about 2-3 years ago. When she first purchased it she requested a comfort exchange which we approved. She then requested a second comfort exchange, which we also approved although this is against our policy to allow 2 comfort exchanges. In effect, we have now delivered 3 brand new mattresses to this customer for the price of 1.

Brenda then proceeded to make a warranty claim on her electric adjustable bed for a very minor tear in the fabric which we took her word for that was our fault. We approved the warranty claim and the manufacturer provided a brand new electric adjustable high end bed to her, at our cost of setting up the warranty and doing all of the delivery and setup work.

After delivering and setting up the brand new warranty bed, Brenda was very angry with us and according to my delivery driver, was making physical threats and blocking them from leaving her house unless she could keep the old warranty electric adjustable bed. In effect, she wanted to make the claim and receive the second brand new bed for free.

2 years later, at the time of writing this review, Brenda made a warranty claim on her Kingsdown mattresses (she bought 2 twin XL mattress set with adjustable beds) claiming they were worn out. She was asked to provide images of the warranty issue, as this is standard procedure for warranty claims. She refused to provide pictures, stating that you could not see the problem in any pictures, we had to trust her that they were worn out.

We contacted Kingsdown about this situation, and they stated that a representative needed to go out to review her warranty claim to see if it would be approved. We advised Brenda that there would be a $120 fee to send a qualified technician out to her house to assess this warranty claim issue, and then if her claim is approved, that Kingsdown would provide a brand new mattress for her under warranty. Brenda was also advised, that this fee, if the warranty issue was successful would be applied to the transportation costs associated with the warranty swap procedure.

Brenda refused to pay this fee, and proceeded to leave negative reviews on any / all review platforms she could find for Direct Bed.

We have many many satisfied customers for Kingsdown and we would continue to recommend this brand.

WASTE OF TIME AND PRODUCT.BY ELSEWHERE.

Definite waste of time to even think that this company is anything other than a waste of time .they are arrogant rude and will not go good on anything they say .try and buy a bed that is not their brand .I am sure you can but it will.not be easy. And their beds are as good as cardboard and some stuffing.#do better#bebetter

UPDATE.... Haha I do not know who this Larry Roy is but I can clearly see how terrible this company is .And it just gets worse Take responsibility for your actions and terrible products .Quit trying to pass the blame Ps This is actually Doug harrold.

Dealing with Directbed has likely been…

Dealing with Directbed has likely been the worst customer experience I have ever had.

Please, please, please if you have ever had issues with this business, report it to the Better Business Bureau, your credit card company and the Consumer Protection Agency.

I have requested a refund three times . This business has sent a bed that didn't arrive when they promised. The original order was canceled because they didn't have the bed, even after I had phoned to confirm arrival date and stock beforehand.

They never updated the order and never supplied me with a new bill of sale for a second bed offer. Which was promised before shipping. The delivery company reached out to accept a delivery a full 18 days after it was promised. Without an updated sales receipt, I had no clue what had even been sent. I would not accept delivery, as I had asked for a refund 15 days before delivery was even attempted.

This business continues to push this off as my fault. Their business policies do not follow the laws set out to protect consumers from unfair business practice. They made promises that were not kept, knowing that they would keep the money regardless of what happened. They take no ownership in something that is their fault.

This entire issue started December 10th, 2024 and they have made no attempt to make this right. I have filed complaint with all agencies above and I suggest others do as well.

**** I have never received an apology from this company ever. Not from Gerian or anyone. I will add an update as soon as I do. The refund was not from any attempt by the company, it was through my credit card. There is a big difference. Do not trust a word from anyone at this company. Get everything in writing and still re-think it.

Great service

The mattress we ordered came in but it was the wrong size. After contacting the company they corrected their mistake right away and within a short while received my new mattress. The quality of the mattress is great and it’s very comfortable ! Very happy with the prompt service!

So Far No Issues ,Great Experience!

Delivery was on time, the mattress is comfortable and a plus was that mattress and bed foundation came at the same time.

After months of sleeping on a air mattress We finally have a real bed. The mattress is not too hard, not too soft, it's just right.

So far, so good! The delivery was smooth, and setting the whole thing up was a breeze. I'm happy, my partner is happy 😊

I should have given it 5 stars, but we've only had it for less than 2 weeks or so, and I didn't want to jump the gun! But they delivered and we have a bed!

Excellent product and customer service!

I was looking for a comfortable, well made, custom.sized mattress. I found it! The mattress is amazing! I haven't slept this well in years. The customer service was top notch! I needed it delivered on a sunny day as there was no where dry for a delivery company to leave it. They made it happen during a very wet early spring. Thank you Direct Bed for a great experience buying a mattress online. You did not disappoint on anything!

Ditch mattress

Took weeks longer to arrive than stated. When it did arrive, it arrived in a torn up box in the ditch at the end of my driveway. I honestly thought it was trash and drove past it twice before finding out it was my bed.

Hi Erik, I am looking up this invoice and it was ordered in July 2021 during the heat of the pandemic. I am not sure why it took 3 years to leave a comment / review about this issue but we had many issues with deliveries during the pandemic unfortunately. It was a very difficult time for us.

5-star mattresses

I have purchased 2 beds from Direct Bed and must say I will definitely do it again! The beds are very comfortable and appear to be lasting well. Delivery was so easy and it was surprising how the beds expanded once removed from the packaging. Great deal too... the price for an equivalent mattress at the local stores were substantially more. I purchased a king in 2020 and a queen in 2021. Beautiful sleeps...

HORRIBLE CROOKS

Unless warranty. You buy a bed from them and pick a name brand they will always say long wait and try to sell you on of theirs.I bought one and it was falling apart under the surface material .their reply was to use a broom handle and hit it to level it out.I was convinced it was one off so I got the same one again and it had almost like fold lines in.it .I waited a mo th to say hey its no good just to see if it would go properly as they come rolled up in a box .I mentioned it and it took weeks for a reply and they said it should be covered. I called exactly 23 times and 8 emails and then I got ahold of some e who after I politely explained the situation to said this and no BS well I can't see this working out for you and I am not the guy who sold it to you do I won't be helping you .so I swore and said what fuxxing help are you .After all the calls and non returned messages and emails and pure avoidance I was missed. They said not going to warranty it .SO MOT BUY FROM RHIS EXTREMELLY SHADY PLACE THEY ARE CROOKS AND MUST MAKE COMMISION AS THEY ARE ONLY HELPFULL TO BUY FROM.THEY DIDNT EVEN DISPOSE THE FIRST BED.Who would do this to someone DIRECT BED would.I own a 20 room hotel and several B&B homes with multiple rooms I was going to use them for all of it as it is an easy process .I see why though as they are horrible so they have to be quick to get the money.UPDATE SHALL I POST ALL THE EMAILS AND I MEAN EVERY SINGLE ONE??? NOT A SINGLE SLURR OR ANY PROFANITY ..STOP YOUR LIES AND REBECCA IS .Y DAUGHTER FUNNY GUY. This review was left for another company, and not for Direct Bed (www.directbed.ca). We are disappointed that Trust Pilot allows individuals to leave reviews for the wrong company.

We consistently sell name brand beds, as well as our own brand of beds, as well as no-name brand beds. We don't bias any which way and we certainly don't tell customers that it will be a "long wait" for a name brand, and steer them to something else. We train all of our staff to present all of our options positively, since we take a lot of time to curate a good line up of mattresses that satisfy all budgets and comforts.

We have no record of a Rebecca Roy in our customer records, no record of "telling a customer to hit their bed with a broomstick" no record of 23 phone calls and 8 emails. If you could please provide these to us, our email is email@directbed.ca ... we would be more than happy to make things right with you.

We once again... are disappointed in the unfair moderation process of trustpilot, since this seems to be a competitor leaving a false review...

UPDATE: we have found this customer!! Although they used a fake name, we were able to track this customer down. Some of what he says is accurate, some of what he says is innacurate... We did send this customer a free warranty replacement mattress ($1500 our cost) and allowed him to keep the old mattress which did not appear to be too bad. We felt this was a pretty good deal for the customer, however he then wanted a free warranty replacement on the next mattress too. We were concerned that we were possibly being scammed by this customer (which hey... it's a thing)

After requesting pictures of the next warranty replacement, this customer refused to send pictures and go through the regular warranty process. This continued to make us think we were possibly being scammed. The customer then proceeded to swear at us over the phone using Racial slurs, LGBTQ slurs and extreme profanity ( yes he is correct.... probably more than 23 phone calls)

For the protection of my staff, I advised them to cease from communicating from this individual.

Useless Warranty - Wish we'd never wasted our money with DirectBed

We bought a mattress from DirectBed on faith in their promised 5-year warranty. While it was quite comfortable at first, by the end of year two it was sagging in spots and bulging on the sides - it looked and felt worse than the 30-year-old mattress it replaced! When I contacted DirectBed they refused to honour the warranty, claiming our brand new bed frame was the wrong kind (info that is not stated on the webpage, in the warranty info, or even in DiredtBed's info for a similar frame they sell from the same manufacturer). After several rounds they eventually offered a $200 discount off the now higher price of an equivalent mattress - not at all a solution, since it amounted to paying almost the same amount again for what we knew to be an inferior product. And then DirectBed did the unthinkable - stopped responding to our emails. Still disgusted we gave our hard-earned money to such a shady company. We threw out the mattress and bought a replacement elsewhere; really wish we'd gone to the other guys first.

Hello Kai,

We went back and forth with you for quite a while trying to work with you. While you purchased your mattress through us, you purchased the bed base elsewhere and took a risk that the bed would not damage the mattress. You asked us if it was a good base, we said no. Our product is not inferior, it needs to be matched to the correct base in order to be supported well. Slats must be less than 2" apart, which your bed was not.

Unfortunately in this case, we cannot be responsible for a mattress that is not placed on a good base . Let this be a lesson to all reading as well.... get a good base for your mattress! We sell lots of good bases :)

I began my journey with direct bed on…

I began my journey with direct bed on the first of Jan, made a comment on their website and received a call back that day. Surprised! Told Geryan (spelling?) of my difficulties with 3 different local stores (substitutions, lack of honoring the warranty, etc) gave specific criteria, dimensions, flippable, strong support for heavy hubby but super soft for me, etc. So placed my order on January 5th. Expected to wait at least 6 weeks for extremely custom made but got the call yesterday and they are driving my order to us - we live about 250 miles away from them. So while I can't evaluate our mattresses yet, I can certainly say that customer service has exceeded any of our local stores, the last time I had service like this disappeared when Sears closed. Excitedly awaiting Jessie's arrival...

Stinky mattress

Delivery was the first and the worst was the small from the mattress , smells like it was wet and dried out before bagged .so strong had to put it in the garage for now can’t stand the smell that it made in the house when I opened it hopefully by camping season the smell will be gone , should of bought local so I could easily returned it

All the good reviews are always good to hear if you have been satisfied but I really don’t have much concern for those it’s the mattress that I could not use in my trailer because of the smell of I don’t know what , a good response from you would of been to think that maybe I do have a legitimate concern and address that and not tell me that you receive only good reviews , and it’s been over a year for a response to my concern so that alone doesn’t bide well for you just shows you really don’t care about your customers that your only concern would be to sell a mattress get your money and then say you only get good reviews. So thanks for the 14 month late response, because mine fell on deaf ears as I expected it would when it comes to my money I’ve wasted on your product.

Amazing products delverired with a smile

I love dealing with Directbed , they always have the best products at great prices! I got the align 3.0 pillow and it's the most comfortable pillow I've had. I have tried out more then 7 pillows the last 6 months and finally found the best fit for me ! Shop with Directbed you won't be dissappointment !

Amazing Experience thanks to Shane in St. Catharines!
We took our time trying to decide on the right mattress for us. Shane was very patient and informative throughout the process and didn't try to upsell or pressure us.
We purchased the perfect mattress, and a frame and mattress protector.
The delivery was quick and the delivery people were excellent as well.
I highly recommend getting your next mattress and bed here!

I do not recommend this site

After I ordered a bed, and my money was taken, I waited a week before contacting them to find out why it hadn't shipped yet.
They said there was a delay in the order because the bed I paid for was apparently out of stock. So how do I order and pay for something out of stock, when the website clearly had them in stock when I ordered?
After about another week of contacting them, they were able to provide a different bed, not the one we wanted, and it did eventually come.
