Eco Energy Avis 

Representative visited us at home on 25 Feb 2026, seemed a good deal and we signed up for 26 panels and a battery and paid their £349 admin fee.
Three months later we are no nearer to getting these fitted, with numerous delays and a lack of communication.
We now want to upgrade the battery and add a gateway system so we’re covered during the frequent power cuts we get here on the Isle of Skye. We’ve been asking them for an updated price for nearly two months now. They sometimes reply to emails quickly (within 5m at 9pm last Monday night), promise to provide an update and then nothing.
That’s 5 days ago.
Disappointing - but reading other one star reviews I think we have a had a lucky escape.

The whole process was stress free. Everyone I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. The sales and office staff keep the process running smoothly. The installation guys were amazing and got the whole system up and running in two days - one for installation of the panels and one for the electrical hook up. Since install lovely Beth has been back in touch to make sure everything is working properly.

Explanation of the system and the options available. After installation the system is working well. The app for the system is really very good and much better than a 'Smart meter'. This app provides confidence in the system and confirms if the system is working properly.

Blair arrived to give us a quote and showed us a sample of the windows. He was very professional and polite. We decided there and then that it was a very fair quote. The man who came to measure up for the windows and door was fantastic. Installers arrived at 10.30am and had all the old windows out and new ones fitted by 5pm. The guys were absolutely brilliant very polite, tidy and respectful towards my property. I would definitely get this company again and highly recommend them. From start to finish I could not fault them.

I’ve had a great experience with Eco Energy from start to finish. From the first point of contact and initial visit, everything was clearly explained and there was no pressure to make a decision. I was given the time to choose what was right for me.

The installation team, including the electricians and roofers, were fantastic. They were friendly, down to earth, and really engaging. They explained exactly what was happening throughout and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.

The team handling post-installation has also been excellent, very kind, professional, and helpful in talking me through the next steps.

Quck no hassle service from point of sale to fiiting of solar panels. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and very professional.

Whole process was fab guys were lovely and very tidy

Starting with sales, the sales person took the time to understand our needs and didn't just throw a standard system at us. Once we placed the order we were kept well informed on progress with installation after 4 weeks. Team that attended were great, barely knew that they were there, took the time to take us through the features of the system and cleaned up after themselves. After installation continue to get regular follow-ups to make sure that we are happy, which we are. Would highly recommend them

The positive is I have working solar panels, which is what I wanted for my £7 grand. The electrical guy was first class and did a tidy job. The negative is the attitude of the roofer and his mate. They fitted the panels to the roof, and the tiles did not re-align flush because they were resting on top of the solar panel supports. I asked for the underside of the tiles to be ground so they sat flush, same as the panels on a nearby house. That started the attitude from the roofer. His boss told him to fix the issue. It has been a couple of weeks since the fitting and we had heavy rain. My gutter has become misshapen because two of the gutter supports are broken after some fairly light rain. I moved into the house in 1982 and there's been much heavier rain than the rain that caused the issue. I think the roofer either broke the gutter supports by accident and didn't tell me or vandalised them because I wanted the shoddy work rectified. Now I am wondering why he asked such a lot of questions about my car, which I parked on the street to give their vans access to my driveway.

I had been thinking of solar panels for a long time, but knew very little about the pros and cons, although I had done my homework as best I could, and had a number of salent quetions. I contacted Eco Energy and Matt Burrows paid us a visit. He was extremely helpful and was able to answer all our questions, including a very useful cost benefit analysis. The actual installation was done very shortly afterwards and it all went very well indeed. The whole thing was fascinating, and we are delighted with the results - very happy to recommend the company unreservedly - friendly efficient service with integrity. .

Finally a company that steps up and does everything it promises. Andrew gave a detailed explanation of solar and all of its benefits. He also laid out clearly what to expect from his company. All I can say is it went exactly as promised. Two fitters have just left our house and as promised everything was completed on the day and done professionally . No complaints. Very happy

Straightforward, friendly service, who advised me well and didn't seek to fleece me for a battery system I didn't need. They got my money because they made the process simple and quick and all the other companies that I approached lost out by being months behind Eco Energy in quoting and installing

All of the staff were really helpful helping me and my wife understand each step in getting our new Air Source Heat Pump installed. John the surveyor came out the same day that we enquired about getting the work done and explained everything to us and answered all the questions we had. John gave us a walkthrough of all works required and a breakdown of the costs. He got the ball rolling and it was a very quick and easy process from the very beginning to the very end. These upgrades to our house have made it a home and would highly recommend anybody to get in touch with Eco Energy if they are looking to get any work done.
