Headlamp detached itself from headband…
Headlamp detached itself from headband while 3000 metres up a mountain. Poor or defective design? Not ideal. Never happened with any of my petzl headtorches.

Thank you Callum, and this is very strange as we have never had this happen to any headtorch before. Do you mean it fell from your head as it would be very difficult for it to fall from the headband itself. Fenix warranty is covered if the torch is returned to us. So If you do have the torch and the headband with attached backplate please send this to us.

Originally bought a TK16, many years ago, whilst touring America with Duran Duran. Where would be the best place to buy / compare? Army & Navy store? Scottsdale Gun Club, Scottsdale, Arizona, that's where.
I replaced it with an 'engraved' TK17, three years ago. Bought a back up, three days ago.
The TK17 is a powerful, yet versatile hand held LED torch. Multiple functions (adjustable, step through, brightness and strobe) with a rechargeable battery.

I love this kind of review, and welcome to the UK Fenix from Phoenix, though I wont let the US Fenix know you have crossed to us :) The TK range of torches are premium and like all Fenix products have good build quality, but its all about the users experience so thank you The Red Baron, hope to see you again soon :) Also thank you for pronouncing our name correctly lol ! we are often pronounced Fen-Ex ;)

Great products and great customer service
Ordered a mini light to go along with my Fenix head torch that I've been using for a couple of years which is still going strong. Unfortunately the new light got lost on it's way to me. I emailed Fenix who were responsive and absolutely brilliant at sorting it out. Great products and great customer service.

Strong light and head band
Strong light and head band. Excellent beam for night running.
The light left a bruise / lump on my forehead after 3 hours of wearing it. I have adjusted it and cushion it with a buff, but the balance between having it tight enough to stay in place and not hurting my forehead has taken a bit of work to sort out.

Hi Rachel, I'm sorry to hear you are finding the headtorch uncomfortable, my colleague, who is an Ultra Runner always suggest that you wear the torch on an angle from forehead down towards your neck at the back, and tilt the head unit to suit. I hope this helps.
