Wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing.

I was looking at an X300 on another site (that I would HIGHLY recommmend). The same camera was double the price on this website, but I’d found a cool looking Minolta branded strap. All black with a vibrant blue contrast stitching and embossed logo. In the sale at £18.

What I received was a black strap brown (black topped) leather and a more turquoise logo. It’s not a huge deal, but it wasn’t what I ordered. If there was a note on the item online to say “actual colour/design may vary” I would understand.

I’ve decided not to send it back, but if I find a strap I like in future I will probably swap it out. This is obviously nothing compared to people saying broken cameras are being delivered, but there seems to be a trend that people aren’t getting what they ordered.

Because of the difference in price of products, and this experience, I wouldn’t rush to buy from this website in future. There’s loads of independent stores out there with great online presence. I’d recommend those instead.

SCAM. They just want your money. They will send you any broken camera and will be impossible for you to get your money back. They operate covered by PayPal.

Items came broken and when I emailed about it I got no reply

purchased a canon AE-1 PROGRAM and 50mm 1.8 lens on the 25th Jan 2025. It just arrived today (29th).
completely wrong camera. Sent me the normal Ae-1 version not the program version. It even has the wrong lens (28mm 2.8) The lens also had a filter screwed on.

Absolute joke. I paid for the NEAR MINT condition so very expensive compared to ebay etc. Have emailed their support, instagram messages and voicemail as their phone number just goes to voicemail constantly.

Some sleuthing and it appears this company belongs to a Luke Paul Clare based in Sheffield. and has FIVE companies under companies house.

the whole thing is giving me SCAM vibes. now. Have had no response so far will keep trying for next couple of days.

I would personally NOT ORDER FROM THEM

They have sent the wrong camera model to me and aren’t responding to my messages to get a replacement organised.

There was an issue with my order and I received an email from the store letting me know and providing a solution. Prompt responses and brilliant customer service

I’m still waiting for a reply to a complaint, I received my order on the 16th of December. Faulty camera that isn’t working, flash sold separately broken and no communication since. I have emailed a few times and still no response, shocking.

It’s a Christmas gift so the camera hasn’t been used yet, but fast delivery.

I had ordered the “Silver 18MP Digital Camera - Digicam”

Unfortunately it felt incredibly cheap and poor quality, it arrived in the wrong colour box and someone had just written “silver” in biro on the front of the box. It felt very shoddy and this was supposed to be a gift, there was no way I could gift this in this state.

This is far from the quality I had expected to receive from such a reputable company.

The camera interface was in a different language, which can of course be expected sometimes. However there were no clear instructions on the camera or paperwork to help you to understand how to change this.

I had reached out to the customer care email last Friday, the day of delivery, to request some assistance with a return, however I have not received acknowledgement of my email so far.

I appreciate it is a busy time of year, however after 4 working days, an acknowledgement of my email would have been appreciated.

Please could someone get back to me so I don’t have to wait longer to receive my refund, thank you.

Been given two delivery dates, both times no delivery, quick to take payment but slow to deliver.
Tried to contact Film Camera Store, the phone number given on website is never answered and they have not replied to numerous emails.

Ordered the Olympus Trip 35 Orange Leather Point and Shoot 35mm Film Camera, when checking-out, there was an option to purchase an add on item of a battery. Which I did. The battery didn't arrive. The camera didn't work. Overall quite disappointing as it was purchased as a birthday gift. The cost of the battery has been refunded.

Don't bother honestly

I bought a Canon AE-1 over the summer and it lasted through one roll of film. I messaged them to ask if they had any warranty and never got a response. This camera was supposedly in great condition which was clearly not the case.

Ordered an Olympus 35mm film camera, paid extra for a different colour and 'very good' condition.
This was a gift for my sisters 30th birthday and I was ordering from Australia as I couldn't be there.
Delivery was quick but the packaging was questionable, the box was squished and not much protection inside. But the maim issue was that it wasn't the orange colour I ordered and paid for.
I emailed to advise of the issue, hoping that the correct camera could be sent out for her birthday, couple days later I got a reply. They offered a small refund or an exchange, I opted for the exchange as I wanted what I ordered and paid for, so I replied the same day.
It's then 9 days later and still no reply, the birthday had passed and my sister had even called them with no response. She had decided to just keep the black one as she thought it would be less hassle for me.
I emailed stating I would like the refund for the amount I paid extra for it to be a different colour.
I got a reply the next day and responded the same day.
Another 9 days later, still no reply or refund, so I emailed again asking for an update. 2 days later I got a reply, followed by the refund the day after.
Very disappointing customer service.
I would not recommend ordering from this company and I myself definitely will not be.

We only clicked 1 star in order to enter the site. They do not deserve any stars according to our entirely negative experience with the company.
The Olympus Superzoom 76G AF Point and Shoot 35 mm film camera we ordered on 5 September 2024, priced £99.99 inc shipping, never arrived. What did arrive instead was bottle of Japanese plant food priced £7. The package was of similar size expected for a camera. We did not open it until the Evri delivery van departed – we had no reason to suspect that we needed to inspect the parcel on the door step.
Our complaints to filmcamerastore.co.uk were ignored. Our phone calls were never returned despite our urgent requests and a single email response merely asserted that a parcel was delivered to the correct address under our reference number. The shipper Evri claimed that they could not compensate because “Items made of or containing Cameras are on the non-compensated list because they are more fragile than others and therefore are more susceptible to damage”. So why was filmcamerstore.co.uk using them? And the parcel was not damaged, but switched.
I would recommend never ever using this site. We are in the process of registering a formal complaint.

I ordered a camera (expensive compare to other sites!) for my daughters birthday. It arrived broken shutter cover. There was a piece missing so it had clearly been dispatched broken. I have sent numerous emails to the company which have been ignored. I tried calling the number on the website, no answer. The number has now been taken off the website so there is no other way other than email to contact the company. The camera is still being advertised on the website. I have reported the company to my card issuer. AVOID! IT IS A SCAM!

Ordered a green vintage camera strap which arrived but turned out to be much more blue - I sent it back and requested a refund as per their refund policy and it’s been nearly a month and I’ve still not got my money back. I’ve called their number and it never goes through to someone and they keep ignoring the emails I send

Camera did not arrive for two weeks despite paying for premium next day deliver. I received no response from the shop after emailing and calling them

No communication, wrong postage, wouldn’t give instructions on how to return item or refund

Staff behavior is very rude, I am very disapointed. I think all positive reviews were fake and affliliated.
