Thanks for the feedback, Christopher. We’re sorry to hear you found the website difficult to use, and we’ll take that on board.

The condition of Chichester Lakeside itself is managed by the fishery, so the weed, swim access and general upkeep aren’t things Catch controls. That said, we do take feedback like this seriously and will raise your comments with the venue so they’re aware of your experience.

Thanks Andrew. We’re sorry you’ve had a frustrating experience, but from what you’ve described it sounds like you may be trying to create a new account using an email address that is already registered to you.

If that’s the case, you simply need to use the Angler Login screen and enter your existing email address and password. If you’ve forgotten the password, request a reset code by email, verify the code, skip the option to change your email address and just set a new password. You can then log in as normal with that new password.

If you’re still having trouble, please raise a support request with us rather than battling with it. Our team will be happy to help you get back into your account and get your booking sorted.

Thanks Ross, and we’re sorry to hear the visit didn’t go as you expected.

From the points you’ve raised, this review appears to relate mainly to the fishery itself and its own booking, refund, concession and on-site policies rather than the Catch service. Each fishery sets and manages those policies independently.

We can see you contacted our support team on 31 July, but that ticket wasn’t about the issues mentioned here. We’ll still raise your feedback with the venue so they have the opportunity to review what happened.

If your booking confirmation clearly stated 7am–7pm and you were asked to leave at 6pm, that is something we need to look into with the fishery. The same applies to booked pegs not being honoured.

The venue controls its own on-site operation, but the information provided through Catch needs to match what anglers experience when they arrive. Please email support@gocatch.fish with your booking details and our team will review this with the fishery.

We appreciate you raising it with us, especially as you otherwise thought highly of the lake and facilities 🎣

Thanks Rob, we understand why you’d feel that way.

Catch is free for fisheries to use, which helps us keep more venues available to anglers without adding commission onto their ticket prices. The booking fee helps cover the cost of running the platform, processing bookings and providing customer support when something needs changing or resolving.

For anglers who book regularly, Catch Lite removes booking fees altogether.
