Fine Until Not
The shoes were fine, nothing exceptional, until they weren't fine. Bought mens Orca in April 2026. By July 2026 the soles were peeling away from the tops. Contacted Grounded Footwear Customer Service with the issue including the order #. Prompt response...please provide pictures of the shoes from multiple angles. I did so. Customer service promptly replied they couldn't help me because the warranty had expired. Considering Grounded had the order # to begin with they could have told me about the warranty up front. They did offer me the opportunity to buy another pair with a 30% discount. I declined citing it would be contrary to any conventional logic to buy a another pair at a discount because there are clearly either design, material and/or manufacturing issues. Summary...poor product and even poorer customer service.

hey y’all, i have never written a review on a purchase.
i love everything about these shoes ! thought i’d feel every pebble, every surface imperfection. not at all. they have serious tread and traction while being very bendy and supportive, the fabric is soft and breathable. plus, they look kool. these shoes feel kinda silly, like I’m not wearing nothin’.
also, not what you’d expect to pay for a shoe made so well.
my feet are happy and appreciative.
i wonder if they offer small children’s shoes. ??

Not Walking shoes!
First off, these are not street walking shoes, they are more a pool/house shoe. They are very light and easy on/off. Lacing is a stretch chord that feels like it will break before it will tighten on your foot. The bottom is rubbery and not very give you very good support while street walking. The uppers are a very light and breathable cloth material and, like I said, would be fine for hanging around the pool. Since I wanted them for outside walking they are a "no go" for me. I walked with them (around my block on the street) one time for about 3/4 of a mile and the bottoms were already de-laminating. When I went to get my money back they said that they could not refund my money as they were worn outside and that violated their return policy. If you want light pool shoes these are fine, if you want comfort while walking outside on the street avoid them.

The shoes took 3 weeks to arrive
The shoes took 3 weeks to arrive. Then they were too small, so I called to return. They really don't want to take the shoes back. They offered me 30% of the shoe's value, then 50% in order to keep the shoes. I do have to pay for the shipping to return, get a USPS tracking number and then when I find out they have been delivered back to the company, I have to call them with the tracking number in order to get the credit. This is a lot of effort for a damn pair of shoes. My advice is to avoid this company.

Customer service would not credit the grounded shoes after worn.
Very disappointing.
The three pairs have torn on front.
The fabric is not durable. The customer service stated only accept in new condition.

Customer service is abhorrent. They have not been helpful in trying to return shoes, in fact they have been completely unhelpful in what feels like an attempt to make me keep them.

I love the Grounded shoes
I love the Grounded shoes! They fit perfectly (true to size) and were comfortable from the start. Walking on their flat soles has completely eliminated my chronic knee pain. And their customer service is superb! My delivery came without the compression socks that I ordered. That happens. Customer service was easy to contact. I received my socks the very next day. Try them! You won't regret it.

I love these shoes so much ..
I love these shoes so much ... They are so comfy and easy to put on! I also walk in the creek with them! I have been hiking barefoot for a few years on our sandy trails, but after stepping on a sharp stick a few weeks ago I decided I better put some grounding shoes on! Am now on my second pair ... do NOT wash these in the washer ... I did and small holes broke through in the toe area on the fabric of the first pair. Also note, I usually wear a 10- 10 1/2 in most shoes and the 11 women's fits me perfect. My best friend and my daughter also love their a grounded shoes and also sized up! Sherry in Idaho

An Unexpected Positive Experience. The Grounded Freedom shoe is my first…
The Grounded Freedom shoe is my first venture into barefoot running, after being a runner for many years. The difference between a flexible shoe with a wide toe box vs. a thick-bottomed traditional running shoe is amazing. This exercises my foot. It's much like the Ballet Barre exercises regarding balancing and strengthening, from my feet up my legs. I do use my own arch supports in them. It's been a positive experience and worth a try. I'm glad I did.

So far so good!
So far, the shoes have been great I've several pair. The only negative is the Evolve model which is the shoe I like the most. The problem is the Evolve is not made the same as the Freedom and does not have the same wide toe base causing my feet to be cramped and I wear the largest size available. When I called about returning a pair because I ordered two pair the service rep was very discouraging attempting to offer a discount instead. I ended up giving the shoes to my nephew as he will probably get the second pair also when they arrive, but I haven't given up on the company yet because I'm looking to order the Limitless!

They take some getting used to
They take some getting used to, considering I wore HOKA and Brooks every day for work, but as I am getting used to them I can feel the back of my legs strengthen, I am walking more balanced. So yes, I would recommend them. The customer service is great, they are a very understanding company.

These shoes are FOB China. They talk about “Your order will ship in 2 business days…” FROM CHINA! I would have paid for a more expensive shoe if I knew it would show up in 4-5 days. As it is they are NOT the least expensive highest rated. I just picked the wrong review platform.

Review of Order Placed with Grounded footwear
I placed an order for three items from Grounded Footwear in June, but unfortunately the package never arrived, tracking stalled on June 24 and never updated again. When I reached out, I also shared that my neurologist had advised me against wearing barefoot-style shoes due to nerve damage in my feet.
Despite the situation, the customer service team, especially Grayson, was incredibly professional, understanding, and supportive. They processed a full refund without any hassle, respected my health concerns, and made me feel heard every step of the way.
I truly appreciate that they didn't just follow policy, they showed genuine care and made the whole experience as smooth as possible. Thank you for a positive resolution to a difficult situation.

The shoes are very comfortable, however!
The shoes are very comfortable. I really liked them. However, they don't seem to be made of a very durable material. Within one month of normal use there were two holes in one of the shoes, and both shoes had noticeable evidence of wearing out. I would have expected a company to have some type of quality warranty, but, apparently Grounded Footwear does not. I went back and forth with customer service, who was continually tone deaf to what I was saying about the quality. They just kept telling me that shoes have to be returned in new condition in order to get a refund. Apparently, they don't back the quality that they want you to think they have. Very disappointed!

I read all the reviews and did some research before ordering my first pair of shoes - "Grounded Freedom" I started wearing them the day they came in and have not been disappointed. Have noticed a tremendous difference in my Knee's, pain has decreased 80% in just over 4 weeks of wearing. I decided to order a pair of "Grounded Evolve" to have a more dressier style. I was disappointed when they arrived to find out they didn't fit. After communicating with Grounding Footwear about my issue and to find out that they do not fit the same as the Freedom brand, they worked with me on a Refund. They were so easy to work with that I will definitely be ordering again in the future. I want to personally thank Riley for all your help with my issues.

Ordered sneakers on April 5
Ordered sneakers on April 5. On July 8 called that sneakers had holes in the toes. I did wear everyday. They told me no longer under warranty. I was 3 days over. Beware do you want to spend this much money for sneakers to only last 3 months. I will be posting on Facebook and intragram with pictures. So many other sites that sell barefoot sneakers.
