This company completely messed up my end of tenancy cleaning. The flat was simply not clean when they had finished and we had to pay the estate agent a full fee for it to be cleaned by another company. It took weeks to get a 50% refund. Very stressful terrible experience

This company contacted me offering a deep clean (including professional carpet clean) of my small 3 bedroom flat in London after I put an advert out on bark. They agreed to turn up at 9am on the day of the clean, however the day before asked if they could push it to 2pm. I agreed, however the cleaner did not turn up unit 3:30pm and was on her own. She then returned the keys that evening, and sent me pictures of just the oven, the microwave and the taps in the bathroom asking if this was suitable. I said that they looked good, however I could see that the kitchen floor was dirty in one of the photos so I asked if she had done a deep clean of the WHOLE flat, to which I got a very snappy reply saying 'of course she had!'. My landlord then went to the property the next morning and was furious at how awfully it had been cleaned. There was dust everywhere, none of the carpets had even been hoovered, let alone deep cleaned. There were watermarks everywhere, and in her words she 'had no idea what the cleaner had been doing for the 3 hours she was here but it certainly wasn't cleaning'. I then asked GURUS to come back and clean the property within 48 hours and they agreed. We left them keys at the estate agency and they said they would return on Friday to collect the keys and re clean the property. They then did not turn up, and offered no explanation as to why they did not return. They then refused to answer any of my calls and when I asked them for a refund, they refused. They said they had tried to arrange to clean on the following Monday, and insisted that they needed 48 hours notice to reclean the property. However as our agreement stated the cleaners had to PHYSICALLY RETURN with in 48 hours, not just say they were going to return. The agency therefore had to get a different cleaning company in which cost me £400. I begged Gurus to do the decent thing and give me a full refund for the 'professional deep clean' I had booked- however they have now stopped responding to me, and refuse to answer the phone. I have been so upset with the whole situation, and feel completely taken advantage of. The dishonesty that runs this company is horrific and I would strongly advise against ever taking any business with this company.

They arrived over 4 hours late, did not actually clean anything, then i had to argue for weeks on end as to why i wasnt paying - eventually they let me off if i left a good review and due to how busy i was, i took the deal. I have now removed my good review and am replacing with the truth. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

**Top Tip** Their website terms and conditions are full of contradictions so if you are not happy to pay, use the loopholes available in their own wording :)

They changed the day of the cleaning the morning before, which we accommodated. The cleaner arrived on the day, did 2 hrs then called as she had an emergency then came back to finish the work - leaving the door open to be able to get inside again. She said she would have sent a video to show her work which she never sent.

For 50 pounds an hour my cleaner would have not left the floor with all footprints and as if it was mopped with dirty water. Not recommended at all, very unprofessional.

Very poor services

They sent a family to clean the house and they were saying they have to spent four hours anyways however they haven’t clean at all wasted my £149 including time and stealing so much stuff from the house such as plates, cutleries, glasses, show cases etc

Cleaners came 5 hours late, didn’t have any equipment, and we basically had to do the job ourselves the next day… carpets, fridge and oven looked good though.

However, They did work really hard! They just didn’t have the equipment, training or support to do a good job. Overheard them on the phone with the manager and if my manager talked to and treated me that way, I wouldn’t be doing a good job either. Also later heard from other people that the company pays their cleaners around 20% of what the customers pay…. Which means they’re taking advantage of people in a vulnerable position, and that’s disgusting. It also means the two cleaners who came to my house got only 50 pounds each for the job, which probably only just cover the petrol they used driving three hours to get here. Stay away!!!

Cleaner was very polite and hard working and very meticulous in her work.

We requested a professional deep clean of a five bedroom house.

Unfortunately, the cleaner who came failed to clean the kitchen and some of the rooms at all, and provided an amateur service in other rooms (just making it look like the room was clean but failing to do a deep clean). Guruscleaning should have sent two cleaners for the job (which was relatively large) but only sent one.

The cleaner tried to leave without requesting approval that the job was done (knowing that they had done an insufficient job in some rooms), and additionally had to be shown how to clean to a sufficient standard (e.g. how to use the hoover, and not to leave marks on the cupboards from using a dirty cloth).

After about a week of daily unprofessional correspondence via email from guruscleaning we (in which they sent a long convoluted email of feedback directly from the cleaner consisting of some false information) were able to secure a partial refund.

I do not recommend using this cleaning service at all. Some of the rooms still remain without a deep clean.

Terrible service - the cleaner himself was lovely but why was only one person sent for a large end-of-tenancy cleaning job? I was quoted a lot less by other companies who would’ve sent two people. The cleaning was incredibly sub-par and it resulted in me losing a Sizeable part of my deposit where the landlord and agency accusing me of not getting a professional clean that I was obligated under contract to do and it has soured the relationship. Stains were left, balcony wasn’t even swept when I paid for it to be cleaned. Carpets weren’t cleaned and neither was the washing machine. Really disappointed with this service and the price I paid for it.

The team allocated to my end of tenancy were a little late due to the standard Leeds trafic but did contact me to explain.
Clear and concise on what was to be cleaned and how it will be left.
Contact as planned 15 minutes before the team were due to finish and they were.
Great job all round, nothing missed and as agreed. Would consider again. Thanks

Excellent cleaning service, did a very thorough job

I suggest it’s better for Trustpilot to make some changes in the ranking system since this cleaning company was even not worth to get a one star rating. If I could give 0 star or a black star, I won’t hesitate to do it.

The cleaner has not shown up at 10:00am, the time which was due to take place. I could just keep waiting. During the time between 10:21 and 11:25am, I sent 3 emails to the company and dialed to hotline to leave a voice message, just want an answer whether I should keep waiting till the end of the world. But I couldn’t get any reply nor reach anyone as though the whole company vanished in the territory.

And I left the place at 12:00pm finally. Till the night I still haven’t got any reply from this company.

BTW, their good sense of responsibility and quick response were greatly appreciated. They were responsive when quoting me. They sent me a reminder a day before the cleaning, even though they forgot to remind themselves.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The company cancelled End of Tenancy Cleaning Service less than 24 hours before it was due to take place. Whilst this is frustrating, things happen, leaving me to arrange and pay for another service provider on very short notice.

The main frustration is that despite promising an automatic refund within 5 working days, after this time had passed I has to chase multiple times via email and phone in order to get a refund.

Very professional company. great results

Very disappointed in our end of tenancy clean and the customer service of this company. After paying nearly £300 for a clean we did not expect to have to go back and spend hours cleaning it ourselves! The cleaners also broke the radiator off the wall and subsequently we have been left to take this fee out of our deposit. We have been unable to contact Gurus cleaning to organise a re-clean. Still waiting to hear from you Gurus cleaning

Booked a one time end of tenancy cleaning service, first time for me to be inviting a cleaner to my house and I was sincerely awed by the level of service for a very happy price for my 1 bed apartment.
Throughout the cleaners arrived well on time around 11AM and took their time upto 6PM religously finishing the job with flawless quality by exceeding my expectations.
Thanks a lot for giving me a pleasant head start to my weekend and for positive interactions all around.
