From eye-test to being equipped with new glasses, this was a very positive experience.
I was reassured, listened to, and very professionally looked after throughout.
Having diagnosed my optic needs, I was guided through what could have been a bewildering array of frames, so that it all felt easy and stress-free.

I am a returning customer to H n S in Faringdon. I had a thorough eye test and ordered a new pair of spectacles.
All the staff were friendly, approachable and informative. There was even an offer of coffee. A great place to have your eyes seen to. Highly recommended.

I am not a regular patient of Haine and Smith - I was on holiday. I passed Westbury shop when I had severe blepharitis. Receptionist Jay was very kind and took me seriously and treated me with much respect. Optician Liz happened to come through and recommended very good treatment and advice. They could not have been nicer or more professional. If I lived regularly in Westbury, I would definitely be a regular customer! Thank you very much to all.

Popped into Warminster branch to see if my lenses could be switched in the existing frame (not purchased from H&S). 5 mins later all done - no charge but profuse thanks from me. Outstanding service and spotted my next pair whilst waiting. Thank you so much ladies.

I have used the Highworth practice for many years and have never had any issue to complain about. All the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good range of glasses for all budgets and their contact lens care is 2nd to none. You cannot go wrong using Haine & Smith in Highworth.

Compassionate Professional

Very good optician on the day - 4ht November 2025 - standing in for my regular optician, Rachel Bath who in unwell.

A thorough examination of my ability to read the chart with and without my reading glasses with good results.

Also a thorough exam of both eyes under the very bright lights showed me that all was well in both eyes.

My reading glasses were cleaned and adjusted too which is helpful.

I visited the store in Trowbridge today and was warmly welcomed by Chloe. Chloe listened to my request and was visibly happy to assist me. No names mentioned, but I went to another shop who turned me away because the spectacles were not purchased from them. I was horrified to hear this in this day and age. Chloe, you are a gem.
