Overall superb
Overall superb, good quality food, easy to use the website to order. Wide range of options for vegetarians and always something for vegans.
The reason it is missing the extra star is that the vegan options are limited, I order 3 meals a week, and sometimes there isn't an option to have more than 2 unique recipes.
I have noticed that I can make some recipes vegan by changing the dishes meat option for vegetables - but these are not in the veggie/vegan section, I have to score over the other sections which is not time-efficient.
Also in the past, the packing team have made some mistakes - once there were no recipe cards, not often but occasionally there has been missing minor and major ingredients. Sometimes this will be picked up by the packing team, and I have received small refunds - matching the item's value. Other times no. Overall I am very happy with Hello Fresh New Zealand, and will continue using their services, and I would absolutely recommend them to friends.

A good variety of easy to cook meals. The very few problems I have had have been quickly and happily resolved. Easy to follow recipes so whoever is home first can start cooking.

The meals are easy to prepare
The meals are easy to prepare. The deliveries are always on time and it’s just a super simple system to use where I’m cooking easily but at the same time I’m cooking things. I probably never would have cooked as a recipe for myself.

I've had issues
1st order - delivery driver drove across part of driveway they obviously shouldn't have.
2nd order - given radishes instead of tomatoes for one recipe
3rd order - great!
4th order - no recipe cards delivered. Follow ups - 1. no attachment 2. only four of the five recipes attached.
Missing ingredient for One-Pot Mexican Bean & Veggie Soup - Mexican Fiesta Spice Blend.
I am hopin things will improve because the meals themselves are nice, if you cut down on the garlic....but then you have it left over....

The convenience of having you dinner delivered and knowing what you're cooking for dinner is great. Meals are easy to prepare and delicious. There's only been a couple I wouldn't get again. AI has ruined Hello Fresh
I used to love HF, but lately the quality has dropped to a point that I predicted it was starting to be run by AI. Lo and behold, I was right. Recipes becoming bland, and recipe cards being off or giving wacky instructions, for example. Last week the recipe card told me to put 100g of butter into my pot of 5 mashed potatoes, and I ended up with a yellow, oily mess of potato-flavoured butter. I salvaged it by running to the shop to buy some extra potatoes to even out the proportion.
In an article I found, HF tries to sell its shift to AI as better personalisation. This is a quick way to end up with boring food. Hyper-personalisation based on algorithmic guesswork means we're no longer being exposed to new and interesting flavours. To say nothing of the fact that AI by its very nature hallucinates and gets things wrong.
No thanks, HF. I want food created by human chefs who understand food and flavour profiles for other humans, not a large language model programmed to churn out thousands of bland meals quickly so management can pad the bottom line by laying off said humans.

The meals have been fantastic! The cooking instructions are easy to follow, and my 12-year-old daughter loves helping prepare dinner for the family. The portion sizes are just right for our family of four, and the quality of the ingredients is consistently excellent.
As a busy working mum, I originally planned to try the service for only 4 to 8 weeks. I suspected my kids were getting a little tired of my usual dinner rotation, so I liked the idea of being able to choose our meals each week and introduce more variety while still catering to everyone's tastes.
Fast forward a few months, and we're still going strong! The meals have been a hit with the whole family, which probably says it all. 😊
The delivery service has also been excellent and reliable, with every box arriving on time except for one that was delivered a day later than expected.

getting us to try new tastes and methods, the only criticism we have is the precut chips, the moisture came out in the bag and made them soft, we would prefer to make our own and cut them bigger and maybe with the skin on otherwise the meals are enjoyable
