Breakdown of communication terrible customer service
No communication from sales person after initial sale despite promises to be the point of contact. Break down of communication between (none) head office and fitter about installation date. Curtains eventually fitted one month late after numerous emails, phone calls and messages from me and no one getting back to me. Fitters are out sourced so blame head office, head office blame fitters. Customers left frustrated and dissatisfied. Terrible customer service all round.
Roller blind fitting
Paul Cross (119374) fitted the new roller blind for our landing window, which we are totally happy with. In the initial visit, Paul took the time to go through a number of samples as was unsure on the colour of the blind, didn't feel rushed. He let me know timescales for fitting depending on when the order is placed. Very good service and would highly recommend.
Patio and Bay window curtains
Made an initial enquiry at Hillary’s for 2 sets of curtains and I had an advisor Paul Cross (119374) who was assigned to come and give me some advice. Paul, was very polite and courteous and arrived on time on the agreed date and was able to show us the different types of curtains and the fabrics to match. He took time to explain the differences in fabrics and what suited us best for our needs. After some time, we decided on what we wanted and so made a purchase for a bay window and patio door curtains. We were very pleased with the price and ease at which Paul managed to arrange everything. Further communication from Paul about the fitting date was duly made and Paul completed the fitting of the curtains himself. He took time to ensure the curtains were fitted correctly and properly and that creases were ironed out to retain the shape. Overall we were really happy with the curtains, the price, the fitting and the caring and polite attitude from Paul.
Thank you very much, Paul Cross is certainly an asset to Hillary’s.

Thoroughly pleased with blinds I have had fitted today. Peter Echo 119171 came out initially with samples and talked me through all the various options. He was very professional, very knowledgeable and also easy to communicate with. As there was quite a lot of selection he offered ideas without being pushy at all. Prices were very reasonable too.
Fitting process by Peter was quick with no cleaning up to do after. Would thoroughly recommend Peter.

My customer number 1169901 as a customer paid well over the price for bad installation and shocking cheap materials and 6 weeks l left with no blind and nothing from customer service and the installation guy called Adrian and he fitted knowing it was not good 12 months guaranteed they won't even consider the customer just want you're money lve waiting for a call from them today to respond to serious issues l have experience and still am they said they would contact me but couldn't find my details my details are all over it and then took my money so l will address again my installation address postcode is PL13HL mr simon alder and you have my customer number so l will update as l hear there response but l will update for sure people need to know

NIGHTMARE
We ordered shutters for the lounge front window and two front bedrooms on 13th March,2025 and they are still awaiting completion. No amount of messages left for the fitter have culminated in a reply. The same goes for the Customer Service, no one has made any effort to get the fitter to call back to finish the three rooms. We've just been left high and dry. Dont be fooled by the advert on tv, we thought we'd got the best.

Waste of time
Absolute waste of time someone was meant to arrive between 12-3pm to measure window and look at samples of blinds.

Quality Product, Professional Service
I had a great service from Hillary's from beginning to end, with the end product (shutters) looking marvellous and far better than I had envisaged. In particular, Malcolm (116368) who came to measure and then fit the shutters was fantastic. Professional, efficient, hard-working and diligent, ensuring attention to detail for an amazing result. Malcolm was also very considerate of my home; taking off his shoes, laying down covers and cardboard where needed, clearing up as he went along, and he even had a little hoover to vacuum! Would highly recommend. Thanks for a brilliant service!
Blinds for lounge.
Guy 113096 arrived on time to measure for my blinds.
Blinds were ready in time stated. Guy advised when he would come to fit. Didn’t take long to fit the blinds he cleared up after fitting. We knew we would like the blinds as we already have the same in a bedroom. Thank you Guy.
Contacted Hillarys to two identical…
Contacted Hillarys to order two identical blinds in April. The firsts person to take my order was on time. Paid for the order waiting for the next person to come to take measurements. Waited for him between 9-13. He called to say he will be late but i left at 14.30 and he didn't turn up. Once the measurements were done i was waiting for these plastic blinds to be made in the UK. Months later when i finally got the fitting date, i was told on the day that parts were missing they can't fit. Several phone calls later but still missing bits has not been found. And i had a call Friday 19 th October to say they are now ready to fit!!! Really ??? From April till October. Diabolical device. I recommend you to find out just how many months you have to wait before ordering. Do not but from this company

Ben advisor and fitter Kieron 117969 / 703224 made the process simple and hassle free. Delighted with the choice Ben helped me make. Kieron fitted the new blind, replacing one supplied by Hillary’s in 2017 in 20 minutes. Neat job.
£7,000 worth of blinds ordered in June…
£7,000 worth of blinds ordered on June 25, all paid for within 4 weeks as installation was due on August 2. Now had our THIRD missed deadline to be told over half the blinds haven't even started the manufacture process. We've had false promises, barefaced lies and had to choose alternative fabrics partway through. Now we want our money back and they are not responding in as timely a manner as this situation deserves. Even the threat of exposing the situation on Trustpilot seems to be taken with a pinch of salt. Whatever is going on at Hillarys is deemed far more important than looking after your customers in an open and honest fashion! Based on this experience, which is still ongoing, I could not be further from recommending Hillarys
Extremely Disappointed – No Curtains, No Communication, No Support
I placed an order and paid a deposit of over £1140 on 18 July. I was told by the sales advisor that the curtains would be installed within 4 weeks, and that the fabrics were in stock.
I received no updates whatsoever from Hillarys between July and mid-September. My installer was booked for 16 September, but on the morning of installation, he informed me the curtains hadn’t even been made.
Since then, I’ve had zero contact from Hillarys, despite calling and messaging. The so-called sales advisor, has been unhelpful and claims he cannot do anything. Customer help line tells customers to email, and response time is non-existent. I'm working full time and can't chase endlessly for a product I paid for two months ago.
I’m left with no curtains, no updates, and over £1140 paid with nothing to show for it.
This is completely unacceptable. I'm now requesting a full refund immediately.
