I would not recommend this company…

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

A glass unit installed by the company shattered spontaneously during the warranty period. The remaining glass is located above the area where my children regularly sit and eat, leaving us with an ongoing safety concern while we wait for the issue to be resolved.

What has disappointed me most is not simply the failure itself, but the way my complaint has been handled. I requested the inspection report, technical evidence supporting the rejection of my warranty claim, and clarification of how the company concluded there was no manufacturing defect. Instead, I was told it is impossible to determine the cause because the evidence is no longer available, while at the same time my warranty claim was rejected. I find those two positions difficult to reconcile.

I also asked what action would be taken to address the potentially dangerous remaining glass panel, but my concerns about safety were not meaningfully addressed. Instead, I was directed to claim through my home insurance.

I am now escalating my complaint and seeking independent expert advice. If the matter is resolved fairly, I will happily update this review. Until then, I cannot recommend a company whose after-sales service and warranty process have left me with serious concerns.

We understand that discovering a broken glass unit can be concerning, particularly when you have raised questions about the safety of the remaining glazing. Customer safety is something we take very seriously, and we are sorry that you feel your concerns have not been adequately addressed.

Our insurance assessments are performed by independent glazing experts and our insurance decisions are based on the experts findings and in accordance with policy terms and conditions. Where the available evidence does not support that a manufacturing defect is the cause of the failure, we are unable to uphold the claim under the warranty. We appreciate that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for.

As your complaint is currently being escalated, it would not be appropriate for us to comment further on the specific details of your case in a public forum. We remain committed to cooperating fully with the ongoing process and will abide by any final outcome.

We value all customer feedback and continually review our processes to ensure we provide the highest possible standard of service. We hope the matter can be concluded fairly and appreciate you acknowledging that you will update your review once the process has been completed.

The Ombudsman will treat you fairly, unlike Installsure.

Finally, after eighteen months of being lied to then ignored by Installsure our defective unit was replaced, solely because of the intervention of the Financial Services Ombudsman. Installsure even ignored the Ombudsman’s repeated requests for information but eventually had to accept their ruling, honour the guarantee and pay us compensation. To all Installsure victims our advice is: use the Ombudsman service. You will get a fair hearing and a just settlement.

Karan handled our enquiry and was extremely helpful throughout, answering our questions quickly and making sure everything was in place when we needed it. Had work done from safestyle on finance & they told us we were covered by this company. The back door is warped & needs replacing but they told us because it was paid for on finance there's nothing they can do. Why give us the paperwork in the first place if not valid? Avoid installsure i wish i had.

As explained in our correspondence, where an installation has been paid for using a finance agreement, protection may be available under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. In these circumstances, the finance provider is jointly liable and would be responsible for assessing and progressing any claim relating to faulty goods or the installation.. We understand this may be frustrating, and we recommend contacting your finance provider directly regarding the warped door . As also outlined in our letter, if a Section 75 claim is not successful, we would be happy to review the matter through the IBG process. We hope this helps clarify the situation.

Extremely Strict Criteria for Claims

As many others before me have suggested, I would definitely recommend checking quotes to see if this company is listed as the insurers before accepting. Whether you accept the quote is of course your choice but (at the time of writing) 45% five stars vs 46% one stars should tell you something.
The status of the company I was making a claim for is listed on a Google search as voluntary liquidation, the owner had died, a liquidator has been appointed and the showroom is empty, which you’d think would be enough but as the formal process of completing the listing with Companies House had not been completed this was enough to decline the claim.
As many others have already pointed out Installsure will use absolutely anything to decline a claim.
