Zero response about collection confirmation - the pinnacle of unprofessionalism
Have been waiting for the past three days for NHS Fleet Solutions to confirm the collection of vehicle. No response at all. not even a single email response to acknowledge by request or a simple signposting.
The collection process is even worse than the delivery.
Now waiting on telephone for the past 30mins.
The collection was supposed to be today.
No response from ALD
No response from NHS fleet Solutions
No contact from driver.
now I am left with worrying if someone will actually turn up to collect the car or I will be forced to look after and penalised for their lack of professionalism in actually collecting the car.

Very disappointed their customer service . Minimum 2 hours of waiting time if we need to contact them. No live chat or call back options and they don't value our time at all. Even after waiting two hours it's a luck to get them in contact as the call disconnecting by them.

Once car ordered, there is little in the way of updates, even when you request dealer update and this is the only downside
Not impressed so far ........
Car was ordered August 2025 and I was advised that there was approximately a 3 month wait. Not a problem. The charging pod was installed within 2 weeks of placing the order and everything was on track ...... or so I thought. We are now nearly in May 2026 and I still do not have the car! Every time I request an update the delivery date is pushed back further. Despite being told at the end of March that the car was in transit, due to be in the UK early April and delivered to me by mid-April - I have been told today that the car is still in Holland! Latest estimate for delivery to me is now the end of May. In the meantime, the value of my existing car is depreciating before I can sell it, if there are further delays I will have to get it MOT'd and if I wish to get out of the contract it will cost me hundreds of pounds. I would love to say that the delay is because I ordered a fancy car but its a Ford in the default colour - nothing out of the ordinary! I have to say the staff I have dealt with have all been polite and professional and I know the delay isn't their fault but it would be nice to either be provided with alternatives to get a car sooner or allowed to exit the contract without penalty. I honestly wish I had not bothered - any excitement I had about getting the car has been replaced with frustration and stress.

love the car but having issues with getting pod point installed and now having to pay extra as need longer cabling to attach to car
Left without a car for nearly 2 weeks despite ‘NHS values’
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan developed a serious hybrid system fault and has been off the road since 27 April. The car is with VW, but despite the actual repair only taking around 8 hours (software update), it’s not even booked in until 8 May. That’s nearly 2 weeks without a vehicle.
What’s worse is that no replacement or courtesy car has been provided. Arnold Clark (the lease provider) confirmed this is because NHS Fleet Solutions have not requested one under the agreement.
So I’ve been left:
- Unable to carry out school runs properly
- Struggling to deal with day-to-day responsibilities
- Exposed in case of emergencies
- Paying out of pocket for alternative transport
All of this for a brand new 2024 vehicle with a manufacturer fault.
NHS Fleet Solutions promote themselves as:
- “By the NHS for the NHS”
- Delivering the “best possible experience”
- Built on public sector values
But in reality, I’ve been left without any mobility support whatsoever.
At no point was it made clear that if the car becomes undriveable, you could simply be left without transport unless they choose to intervene. That feels completely misleading.
If this is the level of support offered when something goes wrong, people should think very carefully before joining this scheme.
Very poor experience.

Excellent, except for PodPoint
I had an excellent experience with NHS Fleet. Seamless and quick service. Anytime I reached out they were quick to help and got things done ! Very pleased overall.
My only problem is the company PodPoint that NHS Fleet use for Northern Ireland - their lead times are ridiculous and they haven't been able to install my charger despite having my car for 2 weeks now. I still have another wait of 8 weeks for that.
I know it isn't NHS Fleet as it is outsourced but i think they should link up with a more reliable service of trying to push EVs !

Overall not bad
Overall not bad. Nice car at nice price. Long wait for delivery but was expecting this. Had two punctures but these were fixed quickly. Everything else went as planned. Returned the car with some minor scratches and was billed for these fairly.
Would use again.

Easy Handover and collection from Main Dealer! All info required had been forwarded before collection which made things simple.
Think carefully before signing up
The process of ordering the car was so straightforward and the couple of times I had to ring up for help the team were brilliant. My biggest problem is that you can't ask for a delivery update for 14 days after the order is approved - coincidentally this is also the cool down period, after which you are locked into the contract and your need to pay an early exit fee. Got my delivery update today and delivery is not expected until November! If I'd known that at the start of the process, I would have made a different decision! Now I am carless until November and would be stung with a £500 fee to get out of the contract.

Poor Communication
Poor communication (never heard of Ayvens until I was sent a request to rate their service). No or very late reply to emails. Unable to get through on phone as answer options do not allow a number be selected (on different days on different phones).
