We misplaced the charging cord so had…

We misplaced the charging cord so had to email in question on how to order a new one. Was told it was black in color, we had been looking for a white cord since the plug adapter was white. When they realized that I was looking for the wrong color, they offered to call me back on Sunday, which gave me 3 days to see if I could locate it. I did, but better, yet, Daniel Palin did call me back on Sunday. The Orcam has been a blessing to my mom who suffered a stroke which impaired her vision and caused... something like dilexia and dimished her reading skills from being a prolific reader to a beginning reader. Very frustrating for her until the Orcam.

Good support but device is still on trial

My experience with Alex was worth five stars. He was reliable,patient knows how to teach effectively. Because of his support, I may keep this ORcam device when the trial perioe ends. However, the product itself seems fragile and I had to wait a long time before I got initial help and could work the device correctly. At my request, he secured a compensating extension of my trial period. I am also disturbed by the number of reviews that say this is a scam. I am pressing on with the trial to help my dyslexic grandchild, however.

Problem solved

I received a very full answer to my request for help all is now well. I am very impressed with the Orcam device and I am still learning all it can do. I have made use of the video tutorials but please remember that many users will have poor vision and will find a visual demonstration of limited use. Final verdict, a great product and goo service.

He explained my options for working with the OrCam device and tried to resolve the issue I was having. Unfortunately, I lost my temper and said some things I regret. He handled the situation with professionalism and kindness and did not take my anger personally. I apologized for my bad behavior and also apologized if I inconvenienced him in any way. He also followed up with me regarding correcting the payment issues. I appreciate his excellent service and I hope to deal with him again in the future. Faulty device told to send back took ages to be collected, awful
Customer service I am a vulnerable person who wanted this to be able to rely on people less. Have been told to sell it on or donate it!! Now being told they have to discuss at meeting if I can get a fefund, 121 days later. Absolutely disgusting

Very helpful device + super customer Service

The OrCam Read is a wonderful help for my father who suddenly went blind at the age of 88 due to macular degeneration. With the OrCam he can, for example, read his mail again, his magazines and books, and has therefore remained more independent. He no longer wants to be without the device and uses it every day. Because you can carry the OrCam around with you, you always have the reading aid at hand. The device is easy to use and works absolutely reliably and flawlessly for over a year of continuous use!
Now we currently had a problem with the metal clip to which the carrying strap is attached, it ripped out when my father got caught somewhere with the strap. So I asked about a repair option.
Customer service solved our problem super quickly and perfectly: the old device was picked up and a new one sent. The processing was super fast and very personal (always the same employee!) - I have never experienced such good customer service! Many thanks again!
I can absolutely recommend the device and the customer service of this company, therefore 5 stars from me.

Der OrCam Read ist eine wunderbare Hilfe für meinen Vater, der mit 88 Jahren wegen einer Makula-degeneration plötzlich erblindet ist. Mit dem OrCam kann er zB seine Post wieder lesen, seine Zeitschriften und Bücher, und ist dadurch unabhängiger geblieben. Er möchte das Gerät nicht mehr missen und benutzt es täglich. Dadurch dass man den OrCam mit sich herum tragen kann, hat man die Lesehilfe immer griffbereit. Das Gerät ist einfach zu bedienen und funktioniert absolut zuverlässig und einwandfrei seit über einem Jahr Dauereinsatz!
Nun hatten wir aktuell ein Problem mit der Metallklammer, an der der Trageriemen angebracht wird, er ist ausgerissen, als mein Vater irgendwo mit dem Riemen hängengeblieben ist. Ich fragte daher nach einer Reparaturmöglichkeit an.
Der Kundenservice hat unser Problem super schnell und perfekt gelöst: das alte Gerät wurde abgeholt und ein neues zugesandt. Die Bearbeitung war superschnell und sehr persönlich (immer der gleiche Mitarbeiter!) - so einen guten Kundenservice habe ich noch nie erlebt! Herzlichen Dank nochmals!
Ich kann das Gerät und den Kundenservice dieser Firma absolut empfehlen, deshalb von mir 5 Sterne.

Worst company I've ever dealt with.

Worst company I've ever dealt with in my 70 years. Absolutely the worst product support and customer service I've ever seen...will not return calls. I urge people to avoid this company at all costs.

Defective Orcam Device

I bought this product through a Orcam sells rep whom was very polite but a shark in sheep's clothing. After I bought the product and time passes I haven't heard from this rep. Since I have not been able to get any assistance other than me having to pan out more money in order to get this device to work properly. I have had my device for about two years now and it will not keep a charge. The USB cord is not charging and I've tried several different outlets and USB type C chargers. So far it has charged up to 64%. I do not recommend purchasing this device unless you can get a non-expiring warranty as they are still working the kinks out on this device. It is not worth purchasing if you are worried about it keeping a charge.

Scam Avoid At All Cost!!

Product is useful for someone blind like myself but they want to charge £4000+, no problem if that’s the cost, but emails sent every single day and phone calls when I have already said it’s out of my price range, very aggressive salespeople.
Maybe they should spend less on all this advertising to lower the cost of the device!
