This is scam. The reader doesn’t read. It fails to take a pic that it can read. The outline square or rectangle is not at 90 degrees so it bleeds into another paragraph. Then it says it can’t read try again. The help center links don’t work. And must have been set up by a mentally confused person bc the outline doesn’t connect in any organized structure.

I want to return the orcam as it’s too difficult to set up but despite emailing orcam support I have not received any reply . Post sale customer service is non existent

MY WIFE HAS READING DIFFICULTYS, I WAS LOOKING AT THE ORCAM READER, BUT THE ONLY DETAILS I GET FROM THE ORCAM WEB SITE IS THE ORCAM EYE, WHICH IS NOT WHAT I'AM LOOKING FOR.
I TRIED THE CHATLINE BUT NO RESPONSE, SO AT THE MOMENT I HAVE NO IDEA HO MUCH THE READER COST'S IN RELATION THE EYE.

I highly recommend OrCam and it's products to anyone who is sight impaired or dyslexic. I am fully blind (see nothing but "black") and based in the UK. I purchased the OrCam ReadSmart after My vicar of my local church came to my rescue, realising how bad things were for me as a member of our church, not only as congregation but also as their support and one of their organists, funding was secured. Having the amazing support of Karin and all at OrCam helping me through, from the initial consultation, to ordering a package setup and delivery, the level of care and support has been amazing. I am a mac user and iphone user, so these are my eyes to the world around me, not always practical in some scenarios. The OrCam ReadSmart has now changed my life. Before this product, for the last 21 years of being fully blind after being the victim of an assault which took my sight, I struggled getting the help I needed, it was difficult relying on others to provide certain support, whether reading printed documents, providing information of products, etc, to the point where an iphone had to become my eyes, impractical in a number of situations but necessary. Now, the ReadSmart provides me with the assistance I need to live a better quality of life, to feel empowered and equal. The first day I had this, Tuesday night, I started learning the product's functions, settings, etc, after testing on a number of items and displays, yes, displays, I cried tears of relief and joy. I genuinely mean that. I'm not saying this for sales purposes, this is my genuine and honest review. This product is changing my life for the better and I would recommend either the Smart Read or MyEye series to anyone who needs the kind of assistive support that this suite of tools provides. I am genuinely proud to be an OrCam Owner and I can't thank the team enough for their amazing help. I love you all, I call you part of my family now and I'm grateful that you are in my life. Your company and the ReadSmart has saved my life and given me a tool that gives me confidence, support and most of all and most importantly. Independence. Thank you so much.
