Pips/Sun Skips absolutely terrible service please avoid!
I’ve used Pips skips now sun skips for several years, they have always been great with friendly drivers. However this time their service was atrocious, I ordered a skip from them and when ordering I told them I would be putting a tv and mattresses in there, the lady I spoke to asked someone in the office and they said it was ok. I’d had the skip for a week and was expecting collection but nothing, the called me 10 days ago and asked if they could collect I said yes any afternoon is good so I could get them access, the said ok and they would call me before they came. 10 days later they turn up to collect the skip in the morning and I’m not there, the driver asked my Mrs to move my other car so he could collect the skip but she does not drive, he then asked for my car keys so he could drive my car uninsured, she said no. I then get a call from their office saying that I will have to pay extra because I have put a TV and 2 mattresses in!! When I was told that I could. Absolutely disgusting service, please avoid this company.

Regarding the collection of your skip, we deeply regret the inconvenience caused by the timing and the interaction with our driver. While the driver did attempt to retrieve the skip earlier than expected, we understand that this created a stressful situation. Please be assured that we will address this internally to improve our scheduling and communication processes.
We value your loyalty as a long-time customer and are truly sorry this experience did not reflect the high standard of service you’ve come to expect from us. We have used Pips skips on several occasions. They always provide nice clean skips that arrive on time and are carefully placed on your drive. The drivers are always friendly. Arranging the hire is easy and the customer team are there to answer questions as not every knows what a 2 yard or 4 yard skip is. Will continue to use Pips

Booked a 12 to 4 slot. Turned up at 5 after calling them at 4.30. Hey ho everyone has bad days. Staff and driver very good though. Used Pips before and will use again. 👍

The skip was ordered to arrive between…0700 and 1200
The skip was ordered to arrive between 0700 and 1200. It didnt turn up until 1600. I had 2 workers ready at 12 to start loading it and had to send them home. I called Pips skips at 1400 and was told the driver was running late!
Why didnt Pips skips call me and tell me they were running late.
The first time Ive used the company and not a good start.....

I use Pips Skips quite alot and usually they are really good. However on this occasion, they failed to show up at booked time and no one had contacted me so I rang the office twice. When the driver did show up over an hour and half late, he didnt even apologise. I had to rearrange my afternoon appointment because of no communication as I needed to let the driver know where to leave the skip. It seems basic manners are not a requirement anymore.

Arrived on time with a friendly and helpful driver who ensured it was located exactly where we needed it, then collected efficiently in the timescale that we had requested. Can’t fault, highly recommend.
