I have a very strong prescription for my specs which makes the role of the dispensing optician crucial in optimising my vision. It's challenging to get the angles and the fit and the style just right. I saw Bridget (dispensing optician) first on the 31st March. She then took time looking in to the issues that I have and saw me again, after researching my history (going back over several years of notes) on 14th April. I now have reading glasses that are a big improvement on my last pair. I'm looking forward to Bridget being able to help with my distance glasses by taking a similar approach. It was the first time I used Rawlings in Caterham and found the staff very friendly, informative and listened to what I had to say.
I went there for ear wax removal and would recommend the service there.

I made an emergency eye appointment and the process was very smooth and prompt. David examined my eye and referred me to the hospital straight away, and I received a hospital appointment on the same day. They were very professional and provided excellent customer service. I had cataract surgery and a post-op six-week eye check up. Priscilla Cunningham, the optician who conducted the post-op check up was very professional, thorough, patient and very focussed and dedicated to the quality of her services and role.

I expected that my aid would need to be sent off for repair.

I have been going to Rawlings in Winchester for many years for eye care and glasses. The customer service and customer care is second to none. I do find prices perhaps to be higher than other outlets, but worth the extra for the professional service I receive at each appointment. I am looking forward to receiving my new sunglasses which will certainly help issues that I have with bright sunlight and the glare that sometimes reflects off a hot road surface. I would confidently recommend Rawlings to others.

I was rather disappointed with what Rawlings has become having been with them for many years. The professionalism they used to have seems to have greatly diminished, and it feels like the majority of the team are not much older than students. Charm, attentiveness, and the personal touch seem to have been lost to apathy, slowness, conversations about patients being audible to other people, and a rather casual manner wanting in helpfulness. I found my new young optician rather patronizing and perfunctory.
And when I got home I received a call to say they had overcharged me, which should not have really happened. I now need to go back into the branch to get my refund which is rather annoying.

A very professional and friendly experience.
