The quality of the item was poor
The quality of the item was poor. Did not resemble the picture online. It was also bent. The return policy is not simple. I also received a curt response when I went online to complain.

The product photo shown on our website is a photograph of the actual item being sold, not a stock photo or a different product and matches the product description exactly.
When you contacted us regarding the condition of the item, we promptly provided instructions for returning it through our return portal and explained that you would not be responsible for return shipping in this situation however, you insisted that you had to pay which was NEVER relayed to you.
We were prepared to assist with a return and resolution however, your email was very hostile and abusive. Our response was intended to provide the next steps needed to resolve the issue, not to be dismissive.
We always strive to communicate professionally and to resolve legitimate product concerns fairly and promptly.

I only gave four stars because I received the products that I purchased. However, the paper towel holder is cheaply made but not cheaply priced. I was pretty disappointed in the lower quality. It isn't worth what I paid for it. The soap dish was great and the key holder was average. Everything is priced higher than the quality I expected and I'm sure I speak for most.

twisted metal candle holder
I ordered a twisted metal candle holder. I received the same in a very timely manner, actually much quicker than I anticipated. And it arrived in good condition, packed well. Your website was easy to navigate. For those reasons, I gave you 5 stars. As far as the actual item, I'm not certain that I would give it a 5, more likely a 4, just because it is thinner metal, not exactly what I envisioned, but much cheaper than a similar saw another site so I guess I can't complain. It looks okay in combination with my white hobnail candle holder and a candle ring.

The quality of the materials used is very good. The distressing doesn’t look quite as natural as I would have liked. I had to follow up with an email because the shipping took too long and I think your shipping charges are a bit high.

The shipping charge for your large wall shelf was $9.99. UPS charged us $16.91 to ship it to Lewisville, NC, so we covered the remaining $6.92 rather than pass the full cost along to you. We do not control UPS rates, but we try to keep our customers’ shipping charges as reasonable as we can.
Our posted processing timeframe is 8–10 business days due to the large volume of orders we receive. Your order shipped on the ninth business day, within that timeframe.

I ordered a pretty heart shaped holly wreath and paid over $40 for it. I RECEIVED A CLUSTER OF VERY CHEAP HOLLY PLANTS, NO HEART SHAPE, JUST A ROUND CHEAP VINE RING WITH EMPTY SPACES ON THE WREATH AND A RIBBON THAT HONESTLY LOOKED USED. So disappointed, contact at this company told me to "fluff it" and no return accepted. FLUFF WHAT? BUYER BEWARE!

We’re sorry you were disappointed with your wreath. The backing is circular, and the stems need to be gently extended and adjusted after shipping to create the heart shape. Each wreath has the same number of stems, with rustic bells attached to the velvet ribbon.
We asked for photos after you reshaped the wreath so we could assess your concern, but we never received them instead, your demand was to issue an immediate refund or leave a bad review.
As noted in the product photo, all holiday décor is non-returnable. We also explained this to you directly. We apply that policy consistently; making an exception would mean making exceptions for other non-returnable items as well.
We’ve sold more than 5,000 of these wreaths over the past two years and have received many compliments.

Horrible customer service…
I ordered and received the Weathered Rabbit which is made of a heavy material like cement or resin. It was packed in a medium box with only styrofoam peanuts and because of the weight it sunk to the bottom and broke during shipping. I immediately contacted RiverChic on their “damage portal” and after submitting numerous pictures that they requested they said they would send a new one. A few weeks later I see a credit in my account for the cost of the rabbit minus $2.97. No explanation or anything so I assumed they no longer had the product. I wrote to them saying I jumped through a lot of hoops to show them the damage and, while $2.97 isn't a lot of money, I asked why I was shorted. They said it was for “package protection” that you are forced to buy when you purchase the item and it is non refundable. I thanked them for that information but I would no longer be a customer. Joey Abbott emailed me back and said “no problem, we will close your account for you”. Bottom line, horrible customer service!

We’re sorry your Weathered Rabbit arrived damaged. We have shipped more than 1,000 of these pieces using an inner package and protective foam, and this type of damage has been uncommon. Unfortunately, we cannot control how UPS handles packages in transit.
At the time your damage claim was completed, we were out of inventory for the year, so we issued a refund rather than sending a replacement. The $2.98 (not $ 2.97) difference was the VIP Package Protection fee included with your order. This protection is not required—customers must actively check the box at checkout to add it. The fee is nonrefundable and provides coverage for shipping issues without requiring the customer to file a claim directly with the carrier.
We explained this when you contacted us, and you then requested that your account be closed. We simply confirmed that we would honor your request. We regret that you were unhappy, but the review leaves out important details of what occurred.

If you are referring to the email you sent on August 24th at 11:36 PM, that message was sent after our business hours. We responded on August 25th at 10:18 AM, after our office reopened.
In that response, we provided you with the link needed to obtain your FREE return shipping label. In addition, the package delivered to you included return instructions with a QR code that could be scanned to access the free return process if you were not happy with your order. And this information is also listed under "RETURNS" on our website. It cannot be anymore clear.
We have provided you with the information necessary to complete your return. It is the customer’s responsibility to read the instructions provided, read email responses and follow the return process.
