SENTIA Spirits founder Professor David Nutt has been a pioneering force in psychopharmacology for over thirty years. He has published more then 500 original research papers and 34 books on a wealth of topics in psychiatry, from his early work in sleep studies to his more famous interventions in drug policy and the study of addiction.

Truly terrible flavours
I really wanted to like Sentia. I've got a degree in neuroscience and I'm a huge admirer of Professor Nutt. Unfortunately, for me these drinks smell and taste awful. I bought the three pack of Red, Black and Gold. I did finish the Gold because I could tolerate it. Maybe it was relaxing? It's hard to tell. I'm sorry to say that the Black and Red both went down the sink after one unfinished glass.

Great alternative to alcohol drinks
I'm a fan , I went teetotal for health reasons for a while and the range provided an 'adult' alternative to an alcoholic drink, I've worked my way through all the flavours and experimented with mixers , I'd recommended a good quality tonic. A great turn to when you're driving and/ or take your own . Avoid the wine dull head .

Great drinks and service
I'm alcohol-free, and I really like drinks from Sentia. The new cask is also a good option for me. I also want to give my credit to customer service, which works like a charm in any unexpected situation and always sorts out issues very quickly. Cheers!

Excellent customer service
The measure of a good company is how they respond when something goes wrong and Sentia customer service was excellent. An order of six bottles arrived with one missing. A brief email exchange with Joan, who was courteous and pleasant, and the matter was rectified quickly. The experience left me more confident in the company than if nothing had gone wrong with my order in the first place!

Mijn eerste glas Sentia red is meteen het laatste.
Het is nu 3 uur geleden en ik heb stevige hoofdpijn.
In plaats van ontspanning geeft het me een opgejaagd gevoel.
De smaak is wel ok.

Why call it “Whisky”?
Having enjoyed the other three Sentia drinks I was quite keen to get my hands on a bottle of Cask as it promised a whisky-like experience.
It doesn’t. It’s more like a thin herbal drink with a hint of chilli warmth and an undertone of ‘herbal medicine’. The fact that Sentia advise consumers to only have 50ml a day means it’s hardly suitable for an evening’s entertainment either.
I’m struggling to see where and why this would work in a social setting. Poor.

We are sorry to hear that GABYR Pale Ale did not work for you. It could be for a number of reasons.
Individual variances: Your GABA system is very much your own, and individual chemistry varies from person to person, so the experience of GABYR will vary too.
Alcohol in system: Regular alcohol drinkers may have a high tolerance to GABA release, which will moderate the GABYR experience. Studies suggest that you can reset your tolerance to GABA release by refraining from drinking for 2 to 3 weeks.
SSRI’s: (Selective Serotonin Inhibitors) anti-psychotics, tranquillisers and some epileptic medications may inhibit the effects of GABYR.
Expectations: GABYR is not designed to get you “drunk”, but offer a more refined experience. All feelings are of course very subjective, and will vary from person to person.
Context: There is a great deal of scientific evidence indicating that drinking (or talking any mind altering substance) alone creates a very different effect from doing so socially. The science suggests the same will be true with GABYR.

Sentia sorts my ‘senior moment’
In a ‘senior moment’ I ordered three Sentia ‘Black’ instead of ‘Red. The package arrived promptly and I put the bottles in our drink cupboard without looking closely at them. It was only when I’d opened one that I realised my mistake.
I messaged Sentia on Saturday evening, Joan checked their system, confirmed my error, and was gracious about it.
By early afternoon on Monday the exchange had been arranged and two pairs of bottles were on their respective ways.
Sentia haven’t charged me for this and I’m grateful to Joan for her excellent customer service.
I gave up alcohol in 2017 after a career in advertising and have sampled many zero ‘spirits’. I started out with Seedlip and still buy their ‘Grove’ variety occasionally in summer. But Seedlip ‘Spice’ has been usurped by Sentia’Red’. If you haven’t tried it yet I urge you to! Satisfying taste and a little ‘glow’ which is a bit special, especially during the autumn/winter months.
One day I’m hoping to be trying their ‘zero gin’ contender…

Slow response from customer services but very helpful
I realised that Shopify had defaulted to the wrong delivery address as soon I clicked 'order'. There is no option to edit order or cancel order. So I immediately emailed Sentia and also reached out on Insta. It took 2 days to get a response by which time my order was almost delivered. But once I was in contact with them they were incredibly helpful and very generously sent a replacement order (FOC) to the correct address so a huge thank you!

Pleasant and a mild and calming feeling.
I'm enjoying the drinks, the gold is my favourite,followed by back, then finally red, which I find tastes a bit like a mulled wine type vibe, but in an ok way. I like the effect and it's a mild but useful relaxant in the evening. I hope a 5 isn't seen as bad, this is a positive review and I'd recommend the drinks. I may even buv these in for Xmas.

Very happy Sentia customer
I’ve just bought a bottle of Sentia Red and I absolutely love it. Lovely with tonic water and ice. I agree with other reviews that it does taste like a Victorian cough mixture drunk on its own.
There were definite positive effects after one drink of 50mls with tonic water. Very warm, calming and relaxing feelings without the drowsiness you get from alcohol. Will definitely be replacing my usual tipple of wine in the evening for Sentia.

Loving the red sentia
Previously ordered black, gold and red sentia and loved red, so ordered 4 of that. Had a couple of glasses of it with soda water and feeling lovely- tasted good too. Delivery nice and quick.
