Smart MOT & Service Centre Avis 

I have had my service done at Smart mot in stoke on trent and they have been amazing.It was a walk in booking which they fitted me in and still got my car out the same day with good communication.They answered all my worries as i was hearing some noises and i will be coming back to them!they have recieved a long term customer :)

Needed break bulbs fitted in my mini convertable. Halfords wouldn't do it! Popped by the Stoke-on-Trent depot and was in and out within five minutes.
Very friendly team and cheaper than Halfords. Well done, I will be returning.

Excellent service

Exceptionally terrible service. Repeatedly and brazenly lied to by reception about when I would recieve a call back about booking in an MOT. Had the phone rudely put down on me at least twice by reception. Told by recption that there is a backlog with MOTs and that I shouldnt be making a fuss about it. Why the hell would you take my car keep it all day with no update after repeatedly lying about calling me back to book and expect me not to make a fuss about it?! This is all in the same day. I literally had to threaten them with calling the police and reporting the car stolen if didnt get my car back that day. Was told by the delivery driver that his colleagues were making enquiries about what my ethnic background was (presumaby to decide how they should deal with me). Terrible! Avoid! Never again!

Arrived earlier than booking times & accommodated swiftly & efficiently. Aliyna was diligent in checking the system requirements and corrected machine capacities accordingly. A trouble free service.
Whilst I was there, another customer had difficulty in retrieving their car due to their own insurance company mismanagement of it's own system (nothing to do with Smart Motors). Aleshba dealt with a fast becoming irate customer politely, calmly & professionally and managed to direct the customer in correcting their own insurance company's error to facilitate the release of the vehicle. Impressive!
Would use again & recommend to anyone.

This garage charged significantly more than a normal garage — almost three times higher than expected. I took my car there after an AA member recommended it.

When I initially spoke to the garage, they told me the cost would be less than £500. However, they carried out the work without my approval and before obtaining authorisation, and then issued a bill for £661. This is an extremely high amount.

Ideally, they should have waited for approval through the AA partner garage process before proceeding. Instead, they did not wait for authorisation and later made excuses, saying that I was in a hurry.

This is very poor service. In my view, they are not trustworthy, as they appear more focused on collecting money than on proper customer consent and fair practice.

Thank you for sorting me out last minute, I needed an oil change and MOT, very professional and very quick! will be coming again

Use this company for my MOTs, as style company I used to work for had all their vehicle MOTs done there.

Effficient, friendly service as a private customer at the same level as I experienced as a corporate customer. I can only recommend them based on repeated experience, which has been nothing but positive.

Very disappointed with the service at Smart MOT Garage, Lowestoft. I had a wheel alignment done and paid £40, but afterwards the steering wheel was still not straight and the car didn’t drive properly. I then took the car to another reputable garage, paid £50, and they corrected the alignment with no issues — the car now drives perfectly straight. This shows the alignment was not adjusted correctly at Smart MOT Garage. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t use them again based on this experience.

Have just used this garage again. So happy with the genuine and helpful service as before. .Good workmanship. Thoroughly rocommend.

Smart mot is by far the best mechanics company I’ve ever used. I go here for all my mechanical needs and requirements the wait isn’t that long either! The pricing is fair and the quality of work is high, the reception staff member, Arfana, is attentive and kind and always greets customers with a smile and a hot drink! Zain the manager is always on the go working hard to ensure the place runs smoothly and your car is in and out as required!
Definitely recommend all of my family and friends use them too!

Just want to say thank you for collecting and returning my wife’s car for its mot. The guy who pick up and returned the car is a credit to your company. I feel very guilty because I had a tip in my pocket for him and forget to hand it to him. If he is ever round my way tell him to pop in for his tip. Great work guys you have found a new long term customer
