Solv came to the rescue

Our oil fired boiler failed to fire up on 2nd December leaving us with no heat nor hot water. Two days later it was condemned. I approached Solv the next day and asked them to fit a new boiler, and, after an initial inspection, I was given a price for the job and a date for installation. Our engineer worked tirelessly all day and left us with heat later that day.

When initially quoted, the price given was for time and materials only as you provided the appliance. However, when our gas installer began the installation, we discovered that the existing electrical supply was unsuitable for the dual-fuel cooker.

For safety and compliance reasons, it was essential to upgrade the connection, which required additional work by an electrician. This was done on a continuation basis, so there was no extra call-out fee.

We aim to provide high-quality, safe installations and are committed to ensuring our customers understand any necessary adjustments. As an accredited NICEIC and Gas Safe company, we offer both gas and electrical specialists, ensuring work is completed to the highest safety standards. While we may not always be the cheapest option, we believe our focus on safety, reliability, and expertise adds value and justifies our rates. If you’d like to discuss this further or have any additional concerns, please reach out. We’d appreciate the chance to address them directly.

First class service. Highly recommend

I usually use a local recommendation for my gas boiler service but used this online service instead. The whole process was quick, efficient and dare I say cheap. The man who serviced the boiler was polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this company.

I have left it so long as I wondered if…

I have left it so long as I wondered if it would get better but since the service there is always a strong smell of oil around the boiler when it has been on.
I had also noticed oil left on a mat beside the boiler which I have disposed of. Not sure whether this service caused these problems but it would seem likely
