I ordered a pair of ultra mini UGG boots from stepped In. The boots cost £190 and I was initially happy with the ordering, delivery and item I had received.
Sadly, within 5 weeks (approx 10 days of wear) the back of one boot broke at the seam, a hole was left from the outside to the inside of the boot, they are now unwearable.
I have ordered UGG’s before and initially I was very surprised at the poor quality, but felt no worries as I knew they should come with a 1 year warranty and the issue I had was clearly a manufacturer fault.
So, I contacted Stepped In to ask how I would begin a warranty claim. Stepped In informed me that as I had ordered through them and they are not a authorised dealer of UGG, I would not be able to claim on the warranty and Stepped In were not willing to offer any form of further help.
So, I should just accept I have spent £190 on a pair of boots that are unwearable within 10 days of wear. The correspondence was disappointing.
I contacted UGG, who have insinuated that the boots Stepped In are selling, are not authentic UGG’s, but advised that I contact consumer advise as I should be offered a replacement, repair or refund from the seller.
Consumer advise agreed that I am owed just that, since then Stepped In have refused any further help and have said I have not worn the shoe properly. Unsurprisingly, I’m not a novice shoe wearer and after many years of wearing footwear without any issues, I can assure them there is nothing I can have done to cause the damage that has occurred on the boot.
I have requested a business address from them to send correspondence, which they have refused to give, so my quest for a satisfactory outcome… continues.
In my personal opinion, I would avoid buying through this company, you could end up spending a lot of money on footwear, risk them not being authentic, give up your warranty rights that you would be entitled to if you buy from authorised sellers and they take zero accountability if the product is faulty.

James at stepped in was so helpful and informative when dealing with my orders, I had regular updates and had an exchange processed with ease and in very good time. I would say that the stepped in team go above and beyond to ensure their customers are happy. Highly recommend.

Ordered a pair of Nike Lottery Dunks and didn’t hear anything for five days about them while it said my order was being processed. Only to be told on the 5th day that no one works weekends and the shoes I ordered they couldn’t source dispute me paying £289 pounds for them already. They emailed me and said they couldn’t find the shoes I asked for and offered me a different (cheaper) pair for a partial refund if they couldn’t find the shoes. Half an hour later I received an email saying my order was cancelled. Which would have been nice to know before five days had passed

Managed to find a pair of Ugg boots sold out everywhere else. Still couldn’t believe it until I opened the box. Service and delivery was prompt, 2 days to my front door. James is very helpful. Would definitely purchase from them again.

Although there was a little issue with Royal Mail in losing the initial order, this was rectified and sorted very promptly. SteppedIn were quick at responding and helping. Outstanding support and service with a great 'family business' approach to provide an excelent Customer Experience that us lacking with so many big brands.

Had to return goods through no fault of the seller, however, they couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. This is when customer experience is tested. No hassle, no quibble and perfectly reasonable.

These guys honestly saved Christmas! After thinking I'd ordered the coveted UGG ultra mini for my daughter weeks ago....I hadn't! I ordered from these guys as many places were out of stock, on 22nd December and received delivery today!!!! The package was perfectly presented and the product completely authentic. Communication was amazing and I would rate higher if I could. They will be my go to place from now on. Thanks guys :)
