Career Amp and A.J. and his team were an incredible source of support during a time when I felt completely lost and hopeless in my career. First, the difficult truth; job searching is hard. There's no easy button or magic to get around it. It is only getting harder with the current state of the job market.

What the Human Reach offers is a process and framework to put the process on rails. There are steps to follow, concrete actions and deliverables, and support along the way.

My experience has been excellent. It's quite expensive, yes. I do wish there were more 1-on-1 coaching sessions included in the program. But I believe it has been worth the investment. The caliber of the coaches and level of experience and insight they bring to the table makes the cost make sense.

The Human Reach brings a successful, proven formula to the uniquely complex job search process. Their coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and arm members with the tools to succeed. Whether it's re-writing resumes, cover letters, or LinkedIn profiles, or guiding you on how to best leverage your professional network to gain access to the hidden job market, the coaches at THR provide a framework through which to tell the story of your career/successes, prepare you for interviews and assist with offer negotiations. A great investment in my career and a group of people that really care and want to see you succeed.

When I came to THR, I had been through four layoffs in four years in tech. To put it kindly, I had lost my mojo and felt adrift, questioning my talent and skills. I was also really skeptical about career coaching - I'd worked with a coach in 2021 for half the price with a very different methodology and felt that her way of working was too theoretical, fluffy, and didn't lead to any strong outcomes. In fact, it never did.

From my first conversation with the team, I knew that this program would be different thanks to the blend of structured curriculum, support, and 1:1 coaching.

You begin with self-guided work and quickly get to individual coaching about job search strategies and a partner to help you figure out how to best position yourself in the market. This is combined with a total, professional overhaul of your "marketing materials": CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn. And it's combined with individual interview coaching and SOAR story prep, something I'd never done before - but gave me the confidence to go nail my interviews.

Boy, did it deliver! I'm stepping into a new role at a dream company in tech and a 70K+ raise in another week and the investment was worth it.

The Human Reach (THR) is helping me find a job using a Side Dooring process through LinkedIn.

I started my process a little late but I am excited to say that I am making meaningful connections with colleagues via LinkedIn.

The career coaching, resume writing, cover letter and LinkedIn optimization process have been very targeted in describing my core capabilities and experiences to colleagues, and prospective employers.

I got off to a slow start with The Human Reach (THR). I had just resigned from my role as a federal employee in search of career growth and fulfillment. I did not have a job lined up and was feeling unsure about myself and vulnerable in current job market. So I felt like I needed high-quality coaching, assistance and support to get through this particularly difficult hiring environment.

At first contact with THR, I thought the point of contact was a little casual as a representative of an executive coaching firm. I am an "older worker" from conservative organizations (U.S. Armed Forces and the federal government). But then I realized that was my own hang-up. Many traditions are fading; and modern cultures are less formal than what I am accustomed to. Which is fine. I will make the adjustment. THR need not adjust to me.

Additionally, I thought the price was a bit high. But, then I thought: "you get what you pay for". And that you get out of anything what you put into it, right? So, I took the plunge with THR.

I am finding THR very organized and responsive. And thorough. The coaches I worked with were super! They really listened. And gave honest and powerful feedback. The coaches are great on the weekly group coaching calls. And my fellow THR members are always so supportive with supportive and encouraging advice as well. It is like a village of folks all invested in each others' success.

I am very happy with the THR "Done for you" services with included a custom cover letter, a powerful resume for networking and an overhaul of my LinkedIn profile. I am not finished with all the modules of the program yet. I am on module 8 and looking forward to THR approach to quality networking on LinkedIn that is taught in this module. I expect this will result in my eventual placement in roles that meet my personal conditions for professional requirements (salary, culture and potential growth).

I whole-heartedly recommend THR to anyone who is willing to invest in themselves. The THR techniques for developing resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles and networking can be applied well beyond the short-term. I will likely develop connections not just for my next role, but for subsequent roles over the next decade.

I usually don't write reviews. But I am writing this because this group did help me find a job. Even though it might not be as sugary as it may sound at first, of course it's ultimately us who has to prepare and appear for the interviews. I agree they offer only a few one-on-one coaching calls. But mostly it's the weekly group coaching calls that answer any questions that you may have. The highlight for me was the weekly motivational sessions that kept me going! The community was very supportive too. Giving 4 reviews because I did think that $$ was a little too high for me.

I cannot recall how I first became in contact with them. I spoke with someone from the team and it was a hard sell but I was absolutely not convinced she could be of help on career strategy. The price was just below 8K and I could not justify that amount with what she claimed could be done to market myself for a different position without giving up the 6 figures I already earn. There was no substance for the money ask. I also wondered if the price tag was higher because of my current earnings in my profession. While the response from the company says I am not an actual client, and I had enough contact with them that it scared me away and left a very negative opinion of them. The lady I spoke with presented the company in a very unfavorable light, which is why I wouldn't consider giving them a substantial amount of money. I also wouldn't want to work with her or the company after that initial encounter. The responder should take into account that you did, in fact, receive lost revenue and a potential client when an agent paints your company poorly to the point that it came across as a money grab. No strategy was presented for the hefty fee you wanted, and she most definitely did not instill any confidence that it was worth the time and money. Reflect on that and don't shoo shoo someone who came to you and received such a bad experience, they won't do business with you.

Complete waste of time. They missed the zoom call we scheduled in advance. I based my day around the call and they didn't even show up or have the decency to cancel and give a reason why. Just no call no show. extremely rude.

I cannot express how deeply I regret giving these people any money whatsoever. Here's my experience with The Human Reach after about six months in the "program."

They tout how their super-secret methodology is the *only* way to find a job in a very competitive market. To their credit, they do a good job of convincing you of this. But once you enroll, it's quite clear that all this company cares about is getting your money.

Your "enrollment director" (actually a salesperson), who is supposed to be your go-to contact for questions or concerns, conveniently disappears.

The course content is entirely self-paced, which works for some people, but if I'm spending $7,500 to get "personalized coaching," I expect more.

Your actual time with a coach? Two calls. Two. You don't even get the option of scheduling more. And in the two calls I had, I got completely conflicting feedback from the coaches about my resume, cover letter, and "positioning statement." I felt like my hours of work on those items was for nothing.

The resume writing service this company used is nothing short of terrible. My professionally written cover letter leads with "I am writing to express my interest in [job]" and generally reads like it was written in 1986. The resume is the same way. I had to write back and get several iterations of something I'd call even close to acceptable for the price point. I finally got tired of the back-and-forth and just rewrote it myself.

The worst part about all of this is I actually found a contract job by simply being tenacious, attentive, and driven in my search. The irony of this? When I discovered The Human Reach's "side door" approach and how it's 90% of what they require you to do in your weekly job search, I realized this was what I'd already been doing. If you're persistent and good at networking, you can do what they teach you on your own and save yourself a massive amount of money.

And as if to add insult to injury, the founder of the company schedules a 15-minute "debrief" with you once you've received an offer. It's just a disguised attempt to get you on camera to say nice things about the service. When I mentioned I had some constructive feedback and had serious concerns about the value of the service, he ignored me and disconnected the call.

The Human Reach is predatory, misleading, overpriced, and only exists because this job market is sucking the life from people. Stay far, far away.

This is most definitely an actual client. I didn't respond to their email because I have provided similar feedback directly to them and it seems like nothing has changed based on a few other people I've spoken to who are in the program and not getting the results that the advertising over promises. Bottom line - you can spend about half the money or less and run their program yourself - hire an exec coach and schedule three sessions, hire a good resume/linked in profile writer, aggressively network on Linked In. You have to put in the time to find a job in this market. Career Amp can give you some very basic coaching and self esteem boosting, but there's no short cut, even with their "side door method" (which is aggressive Linked In networking).

What i previously wrote stands: They use predatory sales tactics to convince people who are struggling to find a new job to sign up for a service that costs far too much for what they actually provide - a pre-made "one size fits all" program that relies too much on AI and has not been updated for how Linked In currently runs, three coaching sessions, a resume/linked in rewrite, a weekly group coaching session that is less about coaching and more about job seekers concerned about their specific issues.
They offer a guarantee, but in the fine print, you will find their guarantee is worthless.
Please do not make the mistake I made. Do not spend your precious dollars with this company.
