My darling Thor, a beloved Turkish Van cat had always hated the vet. A cat owner since childhood, I had never seen another feline with the sheer terror of the vets he has. So, after he reached and passed his 20th birthday, I promised him, he would never go back again - the stress was too much. When he became ill during the heat, I was hopeful it was more and he became increasingly unwell, lethargic and obviously ill. Desperate, I talked to my vet, who recommended 'Veteris' if I should need an emergency vet to come out. They did - and the compassion, professionalism and reassurance that provided, made his final days so very much easier for us both. The lovely Leeya examined him carefully and as gently as a dove. As I said later in my thank you 'Would that every living creature had a Leeya in their life at the end'. She patiently and calmly explained her findings and discussed options clearly and openly with me. Together, we decided on a course of pain management. I will always be in her debt for the reassurances, support, intuitive sensitivity and professionalism. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Leeya and thank you Veteris for being there our time of need.

I can't thank the surgeon enough for what she did for my little hamster. My baby is only one year old, and all of a sudden, I noticed that she had a prolapsed cheek pouch, which required emergency surgery. It was Sunday around 1 AM, and another veterinary practice told us they couldn't perform the surgery. They said the only options were to wait until Monday, as no other emergency services were performing the operation for hamsters, or, if she couldn't survive that long, to put her to sleep. We were absolutely devastated.

We called Veteris straight away from there, and they asked us to bring the hamster for examination. The vet who examined her was incredibly kind, honest, and compassionate. She carefully explained my hamster's condition, all the possible options, and every risk involved. She was completely open with us and told us she had never performed this exact surgery before. However, she also explained that she had studied the procedure extensively and felt she could perform it. She never pressured us and made sure we understood everything before making our decision.

We decided to trust her, and I will always be grateful that we did. The surgery was successful, and my little hamster is now recovering well. They kept my baby for a few hours after the surgery for post-operative monitoring to make sure she recovered safely from the anesthetic before letting us take her home. The surgeon's honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help when no one else would gave our little girl a chance to live.

For the people who need information about pricing, the cost was 588 pounds for the emergency visit + surgery and post-operative monitoring + required medication. Thank you all so much for saving her life.

Our Corgi Nugget got a grass seed lodged deep inside his ear during his morning walk at 7:30am on a Saturday. He was clearly in a lot of pain, crying, shaking his head, and desperately scratching at his ear. It was heartbreaking to see!
We first called our regular emergency vet (...a large company we’re registered with...), only to be told that it “wasn’t an emergency” and that we should book a routine daytime appointment- which was completely unacceptable. Thankfully, we called Veteris instead. The triage nurse was outstanding. She immediately recognised that this was an urgent situation, took all of our details efficiently, and advised us to come straight to the Hoxton Square clinic.
Emeline was absolutely fantastic. She carefully examined Nugget and expertly removed the grass seed from deep inside his ear. Thanks to her skill, and the expertise of the whole team, Nugget didn’t even need sedation. By 9:00am Nugget was completely pain-free and back to his happy, playful self. We honestly can’t thank the team at Veteris enough. We would recommend Veteris without hesitation to anyone needing emergency veterinary care!

I telephoned Veteris Vet's because my African Grey Parrots left eye was closed and swollen. A young lady named Rita come out to my home the very next day. I explained that my parrot Rocky was not hand tamed & hadn't been out of he's cage for over 25 year's for various reasons. Rita was marvellous very polite & very patient. She not only took Rocky out of he's cage but also showed me how to do it. Rita washed Rocky's eye out which was bloody & gave him an injection in he's belly & gave me medication for him. Rita then put Rocky down on the kitchen floor & he walked around, it was so luvly to see I cried Happy Tears. Rita was not only a Great Vet she also took time with me, I am now going to let Rocky out of he's cage daily & he will be a much happier parrot. I cannot Thank Rita enough for all her help & for making Rocky better, he's eye is fully open & he's doing well. I would recommend Veteris Vet's to everyone I know. My regular vet’s out of hours said Veteris was where I needed to go at 9pm on a Friday night when my dog Rye limped in with a badly cut paw that wouldn’t stop bleeding.
The service I recieved was excellent, from the initial triage phone call, to seeing Natalie after only a short wait, who then said he needed surgery. She sedated him, stitched him up while I waited. We headed home 3 hours later. Natalie helped lift Rye into my car. Thank you!

I would definitely recommend Veteris and would contact again in an emergency. My dealings with staff from Charlotte the Triage nurse to Enea the vet who came to my home were professional, caring and knowledgable. They were both empathetic and caring and I am happy to say my old boy schnauzer is now well. The concept of emergency care at home was new to me and is now definitely my preferred option. I received a detailed report of the visit - nearly two hours - so thank you to the colleagues who supported and to the efficient and effective systems which enable a concerned pet owner to feel reassured.

Rita, the vet who came to see us, could not have been kinder. Our little boy was heartbroken about our cat having to be put down and Rita handled it very sensitively, talking us through all the steps and giving us a few minutes alone once our lovely cat was gone. It was an emergency house call and the whole team were kind and efficient. It was a sad occasion but Veteris made it as smooth as it could have been.

I have always found Veteris vets to be kind and compassionate both to the cats and to myself. They do not rush you explaining every stage of the procedure and above all they give you time to say goodbye. When my old cat Rego had to be put to sleep Dr Louis even offered to leave the room while I said goodbye. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Extremely sensitive and caring service but also efficient and professional . From the call handlers to the vet himself , these guys made an extremely difficult situation bearable and we felt cared for in such a time of grief.

I’ve relied on Veteris twice, for my cats. Both times were odd times and each time, I’ve received nothing but care, comfort and thoughtful support when my anxiety was skyrocketing. In particular, I found the consistent and careful communication and updates of arrival very very helpful. I’ve had two different vets and both were thoughtful, through, considerate and skilled at handling a mini tiger with a rotten attitude. Thank you for helping my cats and myself at difficult times.

The vet they have there absolutely man handled my poor baby and was so rough and uncompassionate, does not seem like a place you should trust taking your animals. They have water leaves from their ceilings it’s just catastrophic

One of the hardest things our family has ever had to go through was saying goodbye to our beloved dog, Hunter. During such a difficult and emotional time, the vets and the entire team were absolutely incredible.

From the moment we arrived, they treated us with kindness, compassion and genuine care. Their calm nature, reassuring words and understanding made an unbearable situation so much more manageable. They gave us the time, space and support we needed, and we never felt rushed or alone.

We will always be grateful for the dignity, respect and comfort they provided to both our Hunter and our family. Thank you to everyone involved for helping us through such a heartbreaking moment. We couldn’t have asked for better care ❤️

The whole Home visit from the vet to euthanise our little dog which I’ve never experienced before was great communication from the surgery was good from the start. I know from the very first phone call the vet she was absolutely lovely. Explained everything that was gonna happen unfortunately he couldn’t have his first injection by IV so she explained that he would wander around and it wasn’t pleasant but everything was done very respectfully and for that I know I’m so grateful and they arranged to have my dog cremated and then the ashes were returned to the vets and they sent them out to us with a beautiful note and some Daisy seeds and it was all done so very very nicely respectfully and you know as kind to me and my dog as I possibly could do and I would recommend them 100% like I said they’re not my normal vet you know this wasn’t an emergency but I would recommend anybody going through this to use them.
