Extremely disappointing experience! Scammers!!

Extremely disappointing experience. I paid for the phone plan, only to have my account blocked right after. When I reached out to customer service, instead of resolving the issue, I was simply told to ‘wait until tomorrow.’ Meanwhile, I have customers waiting on hold that I cannot contact, which directly affects my business. Very dishonest and unreliable service

Workiz is a scam

I have a paid plan on workiz and they just logged me out of my account, i contacted the support and they mentioned first it's a TIER2 issue that they can't handle only supervisors can and currently there are none present, then after going full Karen mode they said check now it's fixed, which wasn't true and they keep telling me they are avaiable from 5 am - 6 pm and it was 4.30 pm so they wasted time until 6 pm then you get to wait to tomorrow.
My buisness is reliant on their platform, my clients were on hold, my invoices too, my contractors, my contact list. i asked for a refund they acted like i never said that and overall this is scamy at least that was my experience. will take my buisness elsewhere but i need a refund and they are not refunding or considering it.

Cancel Subscription

I am extremely disappointed with the Workiz platform. Their cancellation policy is completely non-transparent — there are no clear instructions in the user interface, the cancel option is hidden, and live chat agents refuse to resolve the issue promptly.

For the past two months, I’ve been trying to stop the billing. Even after changing my credit card, Workiz somehow managed to continue charging me — now for the second month in a row. I canceled the subscription twice, but the system kept issuing new invoices and charging a different card, even though the original subscription should have already been deactivated.

Customer support is ignoring the problem, and the whole experience feels like an intentional effort to make cancellation difficult in order to keep charging customers.

I strongly do not recommend using Workiz. It’s a problematic platform with questionable billing practices and poor customer service.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! We are a smaller business and used this software as we had heard its the best. While it was great, unfortunately business is too slow for us to afford the software any longer. We are trying to cancel and explain this to them, but we were unable to cancel. Is there no sympathy for small businesses just trying to stay afloat!?! Come on. We all want to make it but sometimes things happen and now locking us into a contract we have no recollection of signing and suddenly can't even get proof of our signature on, not allowing us to cancel?! This is absolutely BS. Do right by your customers and atleast help them when they need it most, not add salt to the wound.

Workiz – Poor Experience, Lacking Support

Throughout the last year, we were assigned roughly six different account managers. Only two or three of them formally introduced themselves. In most cases, we didn’t even know our account manager had changed until we needed support and discovered someone new was assigned to us.

Our biggest ongoing issue was with the phone system. For the entirety of our time with Workiz, we dealt with calls coming in where we would hear hold music, but no one was on the other end. We reported this multiple times, but support consistently told us nothing was wrong.

After realizing Workiz wasn’t the right fit, we made the decision not to renew. We reached out proactively to our account manager, Rebeka Espitia, asking to be downgraded to the Lite plan to allow us time to port our phone numbers and transfer our data before the contract ended.

That didn’t happen.

Instead, our account was fully deactivated—cutting off access to our phone lines, app, and all client data. We emailed Rebeka immediately, but this happened on a Friday. On Saturday, I called Workiz support 71 times before finally getting through to someone. They told me no one who could help would be available until Monday.

On the fifth, everything was restored—but only after over 100 calls, follow-up emails, and unnecessary delays. I’m writing this because I believe in transparency, and I wouldn’t want another small business to go through the same thing.

Other frustrations we experienced include:

No unlimited phone plan – Most FSM platforms offer this. Workiz doesn’t, even though it’s one of the most requested features.

Limited automations – Even on the Ultimate plan, you were still limited to a certain number of automatons you could set up.

Unreliable mobile app – The app frequently froze or crashed, requiring us to force close and restart regularly.

In short, Workiz might work for some businesses, but based on our experience, we cannot recommend it.

HELP ASSAP IMPORTANT!

I signed a contract and bought a plan, but my account stopped working after 7 days or so from the moment i opened the account, i called support today and i was told the free plan was cancelled but I PAID FOR A PLAN AND SIGNED A CONTRACT. It looks like my contract is not assigned to the account.

Support was able to give me access while you guys fix the issue, BUT:

- all of the users i created are deleted, and i try to create a new user with the same email I can’t, it says that email is already in use.

- all of the subcontractors i created are deleted

-the phone plan shows i have used the 1500 minutes, but I have just made 10-15 calls, it was almost at 100%

PLEASE HELP ME TO FIX THIS ASAP, ITS GIVING US A LOT OF STRESS TO MY PARTNER AND ME, AND ITS DISTURBING OUR DAY TO DAY BUSINESS OPERATIONS BECAUSE WE ALREADY CANCELLED OUR PREVIOUS SOFTWARE AND WE WERE ALREADY RECEIVING LEAD SOURCES FROM ANOTHER BUSINESSES INTO WORKIZ AND WE WERE FULLY PORTING IN TODAY. USE ANY OTHER CRM FIRST

They take your money, then the support is non existent. We have been waiting over a week to get a support response and a call back. The people we communicate with via email just keep giving responses like, we will have someone contact your back in 1-2 days. I got one call back and the guy could not even tell who was in charge of my account. He kept trying to refer me to the onboarding trainer who had already told me he didn't manage my account. They have over $4000 from us and we are not in anyway confident that we want to grow a business using this platform. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I am a part of nearly every social media HVAC contractors group out there and have contributed significantly over the years. I will warn everyone that asks about CRMS ( daily occurrence) to turn and run away from Workiz. DO THE RIGHT THING, GIVE ME A REFUND, AND LET ME GO TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. We have not been with the business even a month since we launched. I couldn't imagine how terrible it will be as we grow.

Easy to use for not techi users

i really like workiz, its a great tools that makes my life easier - i am not very techy and learning all the options is hard for me - but i must give credit, workiz is the only tool that expended my abilities to manage jobs. only downside i think is that some features are extra costs - the jessica ai call center is too pricy for me - i wish you guys would lower that cost becuase i found it usefull. thank you.

Workiz Engages in Deceptive Business Practices – Possibly Violating Consumer Protection Laws

I strongly advise against using Workiz due to their deceptive and unethical billing practices. They lock customers into annual contracts without clear disclosure, burying this crucial information in the fine print of their Terms of Service rather than explicitly stating it during signup.

I recently downsized my business and no longer needed their $300/month plan. When I requested to downgrade, I was blindsided with the claim that I was locked into a yearly contract—something I was never made aware of. When I asked for proof of my signed agreement, they refused to provide it. Instead, a Workiz representative, Marcus Butler, told me that if I removed my payment method, they couldn’t continue charging me. Later that day, my account was disabled without warning.

To make matters worse, I was misled by a Workiz rep who falsely claimed that their “Lite” plan does not include payment processing—yet their own website shows otherwise. It’s clear that Workiz is using deceptive sales tactics to force customers into overpriced plans they don’t need.

I researched similar providers, and their base packages typically cost around $50 per month—far less than Workiz’s inflated pricing. Despite this, I even offered to pay for their free package as an act of good faith to continue using their platform at a reasonable cost. Instead of honoring this, they locked me out of my account entirely rather than downgrading me.

This behavior violates multiple consumer protection laws, including:
• Washington Consumer Protection Act (RCW 19.86.020) – Prohibits unfair or deceptive acts in trade or commerce, including misleading contract terms.
• FTC Act (15 U.S. Code § 45) – Prohibits unfair or deceptive practices that mislead consumers.
• Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (15 U.S. Code § 7001) – Requires clear consent for electronic contracts, which Workiz failed to provide.

Given the number of similar complaints against Workiz across online platforms, this appears to be a widespread issue. I will be reporting them to the Washington State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and my legal counsel. I am also exploring a class-action lawsuit to hold them accountable.

Consumers deserve honesty and transparency. Workiz has failed on both fronts. If you’ve experienced similar deceptive practices, I encourage you to report them as well.

Downgrades & Cancellations: While monthly plans allow downgrades, annual plans are designed for a full-year commitment. These terms are outlined in the subscription agreement.
Electronic Agreements: Workiz follows standard digital contracting practices, and all accepted terms are documented upon signup.

Pretty stable and useful. I'm surprised with such a small rating. Looks like competitors just invest to get more rev here and Workiz don't.
Of course there are some small issues, but overall I'm satisfied with the app quality, phone and payment services. It's working and help me earn.

Doesn't do what it promises. Most integrations don't work. There is no difference in data between leads and clients, its all the same data which is useless. Reports are non-existent and useless. If you, god forbid, want to change your service level (down) and the subscription is active, they will just not let you and will continue to make you buy the higher level and pricier version. Just not good to work with on any level.

I missed a monthly payment back in…

I missed a monthly payment back in August 20 24 and ultimately ended up two payments behind and I wanted to catch up but my ability to pay online was cut off because I was behind so I reached out to Workiz# to get the exact balance and get it paid It’s now almost January. I still haven’t gotten the balance. I still don’t have an ability to pay and my CRM with my phone number and all my business contacts is all cut off until I’m able to pay and they won’t even allow me to pay. It has been an absolute nightmare. I used to recommend workiz I would never recommend this company again. This is the worst customer service experience.I wanna bang my head against the wall just give me my balance so I can pay it and give me a way to pay it. Now I have to switch.

Extremely Disappointed with Workiz

I’ve been a loyal Workiz user and advocate for years, recommending it to numerous home service business owners and even hosting online sessions to show how great the platform is. But my recent experience has completely shattered my trust in the company.

In September, I contacted Workiz to reduce the number of accounts from 10 to 5, as I only use 4. The representative assured me the change would be made, but nothing happened. I was still charged for 10 accounts for the next two months.

When I reached out again, another representative promised to fix the issue. Yet, three days ago, I was charged $800 AGAIN for 10 accounts!

This isn’t just frustrating—it’s unacceptable. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Workiz has failed to follow through. At this point, I feel that speaking directly to them is pointless.

As a member of several home service business owner communities, I’ve always encouraged others to switch to Workiz. But after this experience, I’ll be advising everyone to stay away and consider alternatives like Housecall Pro.

Workiz’s lack of accountability and poor handling of customer concerns is incredibly disappointing. I hope they take these issues seriously and start prioritizing their customers before they lose even more of their loyal base.

I regret the day I started working with them. I used them for a few months but Found a bitter and cheaper alternative.
When I wanted to cancel I clicked the button to request a cancelation, It immediately sent me to a different page saying that someone will call me as soon as possible. I have been waiting for a month and honestly kind of forgot about it. Well too bad for me because I got charged again the next month 243$!
I called them myself and the representative insisted that he cannot help me and the only thing he can do is put in a cancelation request , Which I have already done! Now all I have to do is pray to God that someone out there can see my cancelation ticket. this is CRAZY!

Man this CRM is the worst

Man this CRM is the worst, it’s like it was created 10 years ago and it was never updated. So stressful and inefficient to use. It’s like so basic it is terrible. Everything about it is just so not well put together. From lead creation, messaging to note taking and tagging other team members. Everything is in a different window always. To even filtering leads by certain things. Whatever other CRM you are considering it is better. I promise you. I like my new job and hate the CRM so much it is the only treason why I am considering leaving and I feel like it is keeping the current company from truly scaling.

This company is the worst, DONOT use their software for your business!! They will have outages and no support, that cause you to lose business. They are also unethical, as they charged us for the service the service donot work and the account was disabled as they have no idea on how to get a toll free number from Twillio. They would then not refund you for the entire month your service was not working.
Likewise, they have not refunded us for when the service was not working, their customer support donot respond. The account is disabled and we didnot get to export out client information. DONOT USE THEIR SERVICE THEY ARE THE WORST
