Horrible

Horrible, lies, and deceiving!
I signed up with this company for the "Lite" version as a business phone number when I'm just starting out, worked for about 2 weeks, & then got complaints of calls not going through to only be told that phone calls aren't part of the lite version. Tried getting me to buy their product as they can't offer it in the lite version. Over 500 business cards printed with the phone # to be given the run around & it's a "human error"

Your system keeps failing, and there is no support

Your system keeps failing!!! Downtime is a Monthly thing. At least twice a month, your phones your system or something goes wrong

Easy to use and comfortable, not reliable

Easy to use and comfortable, until the website goes down and support takes hours to fix the issue. Goes down quite often too. Very unreliable as a main software, ok as a backup.

Don't mess with this app

Don't mess with this app. I'm ready to quit my good job because I have to use WORKIZ there. I've been using it for over a year and I don't remember a single day when all the basic functions worked well. In addition to wasting time, it's also terrible stress. I don't recommend anyone to use it. Don't trust app with blocked reviews

Very poor support and responsiveness

We have been loyal customers of Workiz for years, subscribing to their premium package. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered significant issues with their support and customer service recently. Our online booking form has been malfunctioning for over 72 hours, causing us to lose 50% of our traffic. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, our emails are ignored, and customer service only responds with vague promises of future assistance. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially after many years of reliable service. We are now seriously considering alternative options.

Great software but stop fixing what is working PLEASE!

We are with workiz for more than 3 years and it's great but the latest constant updates and down time have put us in a lot of stress. Lets see how it goes

It was good until the last update

After the last update things got really bad. Firstly, the font and icons are smaller and have poor contrast. For those who do not work in the office on a computer, but in the field use this program on a phone or tablet, it has become much more difficult to work. A magnifying glass is required to read the information. It is not possible to enlarge the text by zooming in. The copy text is not copied by the client. It is not possible to copy the necessary information and send it to the office or somewhere else. The icons for calling and sending a message are very close and hard to see. As a result, you often click the wrong icon. There is practically no support for the program. The robot politely answers you and apologizes for the inconvenience. I recommended this program to a plumbing company. Now they want to abandon Workiz because their workforce cannot use it properly in the field on tablets and phones.

Think Twice Before Trying Workiz

Since day one of switching to Workiz it has been a non-stop headache. The sales team was quick to promise every functionality that was important to us like a call center that can manage multiple locations, importing all of our historical data into Workiz, and much more. We quickly found out that there was no merit to what they promised on the sales calls. We experienced extensive QuickBooks sync issues that skewed our financial reporting, making it impossible to know what our true financial situation was. After months of reaching out to Workiz support they finally admitted they had an internal problem that was causing this and refunded us 1 month of software cost.
The onboarding team did an embarrassing job of importing our historic data. Almost every invoice over the past year was populated in Workiz but was not showing a collected payment, so the system was showing hundreds of thousands of dollars overdue in payments over the past year. The other customer service reps that we spoke with couldn’t answer simple questions we had about the functionality of the software. We had to figure out everything on our own.
Workiz is also missing some functions that you think would be obvious to anyone using a home service software, for example: You are unable to make invoicing required before closing out a job (techs consistently forget to create invoices leaving this up to office staff to catch). You are unable to be signed in on multiple devices at the same time, e.g. your cellphone and a field device like iPad or tablet. The mobile app does not rotate sideways. Workiz text can’t display emojis. The list goes on and on, but I just can’t believe that a company like this is so popular and doing so much revenue annually. They’re con artists selling software on a 12 month contract that is way worse than other options on the market. If you’re reading this, look elsewhere. We used Jobber before and although imperfect, it’s cheaper, easier to use, has much better customer service, easier to train techs on, etc..

WorkIz steals payments

We scheduled our 5th google meet to cancel and WorkIz cancelled our 2:15 meeting at 2:11 stating that someone named Christian could help me and would be emailing me.
Please be aware that I have not heard from anyone named Christian and our account representative, Joel, has gone MIA. After 15 attempts to cancel by phone, email and zoom.
We have been trying to cancel since March 4th and have been getting the runaround ever since with multiple phone calls and promises of call backs as well as online meetings scheduled where no one from Workiz shows up.
Workiz seems like a fine product, it just didn't work for us. We could have ended things amicably, but Workiz has made this difficult and wasted our time.
This is a horrible way to treat their paying customers.

If you like problems with the IRS, you're going to love Workiz!

We cancelled our account with Workiz over a year ago. The software was ok, but the cost for value was high and we kept finding billing problems.

Even though we didn't have Workiz in 2023 and got no money from them, we still get a 1099 claiming they paid us. Multiple calls and emails to Workiz customer service (since the number on the tax form doesn't work!), and they keep saying it's not their fault and refer us to Stripe--even though it's Workiz on the 1099. Since we've never had a Stripe account, Stripe has no idea what Workiz is talking about. Workiz refuses to do anything about it.

Bottom line, the software is ok but expensive, but total lack of tax compliance and customer service makes them a nightmare.

Don’t switch to Workiz bad integrations

We faced a massive sync error between QB and Workiz, which caused us a lot of trouble. Workiz was not syncing our products correctly with QB, and we were getting services instead. We tried to contact Workiz several times, but they were not helpful at all. Even our account manager's promises were empty and did not resolve the issue. We double-checked all our sales proposals and found out that some of our deals were missing. We suspect that the sale proposal was not set up correctly, and we have recorded a video to prove it. We have tried to discuss these issues with Workiz, but they have shown no interest in resolving our concerns. My wife had a terrible experience with their customer support, and we will not tolerate such behavior. We demand a resolution to this issue as soon as possible. It’s new year and still wasn’t taken care of. Unbelievable.

Workiz Excellent Customer Support

Workiz - Saves me time and is one of the easiest computer program that I have to deal with every day. Simple to use, easy to get information to the team, really easy payments for our customers, you can’t go wrong with this amazing system. Also, every time that I have a problem and I am old school and like to speak with someone they contact me very promptly and their staff are the best. They help me every time, make it much easier for me to understand and they are always so pleasant to deal with. Their Call Service staff are EXCELLENT. Thank you Workiz for making my job so much easier.

Jacked up the price substantially!!

Jacked up the price substantially. I continued to have features cut off during the year and them demanding more money to get them back. I then received an email stating that my pricing would double per month with the same reduced features. The customer service totally does not care about anything except for getting your money.

They asked for an honest review...

First let me start out by saying had they asked for a review when we first opened the account back in June of 2021 they wouldn’t have gotten but a single star. We shut down the account and then reopened at the start of November to see what had changed. We have now made the move, bugs and all, to Workiz permanently. However, they still have a ways to go and bugs to work out.

I don’t think there are many users who take full advantage of the software – call tracking and all. Simply because of the amount of issues we have had porting our numbers from one twilio account to theirs, getting automations to work at all(as of this writing none of them are working and our request for a refund is still pending), making smart routing for the tech callback feature working, making the Google Calendar sync work, etc. All joking aside, I think they people in tech support expect to hear from me daily by now as I am always checking back with them to see the status of our open tickets.

Speaking of tech support, lets chat about that. Here is where Workiz gets the other 2 stars from us. Back in June you would open a support chat request and it would sometimes be DAYS before you would get a reply. My average response time to my chat requests for support is now around 30-45 minutes which is REALLY GOOD for this industry. We have tried some competitors, which I will not name, but the others require around an hour to an hour and a half to respond. So, WAY TO GO WORKIZ!

Account managers: We have had 2 now. One in June when we had a month paid subscription and our current one now. They really are your advocate and try to get things done even if it may go against the grain. For instance, we wanted developer access to twilio so we could see error logs and do our own messaging from the same number. Our current account manager tried to make that happen but policy shut it down. I have no idea why, they would have profited off each message we marketed on those numbers but whatever.

Workiz did implement some of the ideas we requested back in June and that is why we switched back over in November. If the product team and management is actually going to listen to the requests of the client and change the platform for the better then I want our money to be spent with them.

In conclusion: Customer support is now top-notch. It’s priced high considering all the bugs we have found BUT if/when they get them corrected it will be money well spent. They have an API you can tie your other projects in with. They are actively growing and just raised another 40 million. This is going to lead to some great advancements for the software and I would be willing to bet the price goes up. So get in now if you can and hopefully we will be grandfathered in at our price points.

I like it,

I like it,, I think for the average business looking to get a software. I would highly recommend this. Im in a service business and the features are great to use and way user friendly. I only tried it out for couple days So im not sure to just completely switch over to this. Im checking things out. So far Im thinking. Im a handy sord of tec guy. I dont write code but can build websites ...ect. Do to my business having alot of payment options currently. It only offers credit card payments which I hope they change soon. ANother great feature is the built in phone system along with texing customers and your workers. It keeps things simple and seems very fast. Less data entry which a business owner should consider. I see people posting reviews about them changing things during use. This could be a huge problem for me. But then agian it could be there competitor typing these reviews. When I saw this software and created my account I was very excited. I was like this is it. This is what Ive been looking for. Its just the complete switch right now and my current software were using that is keeping me. If your small 1-35 employee business. I would make the switch quickly. Larger ones need time. But I think overall its is worth the monthly membership. I think it will grow your business. Believe me I know when I see something good.
Honestly whats more better a cheaper price for something that is gona help you succeed or using 5 systems going crazy and keeping track of things with out peice of mind.. Be smart pay the reasonable membership it pays down the road. There's some softwares out there that charge $10's of thousands per year plus heavy user license fee's and its like using the basics or they can be confusing. This has alot of helpful features and for 150-500 per month thats a good deal depending on your size and what you need. The customer service by the way is sharp and quick Dont believe these reviews that they say it takes weeks for them to respond. Thats BS. I just chatted with someone in the matter of less then a minute.
