Order was sent relatively quickly, however all of the order was heat damaged and extremely sticky. And this definitely wasn't a little bit heat damaged during shipping, this is full on every lolly is misshapen and most of the hard part of the lolly has turned gooey and soft, which makes me think this is sustained heat damage over months. Tried to contact customer service about it and was totally ignored.

Listen to the other reviews and choose elsewhere. I wish I had.

Placed an order on the in the middle of Jan asked where it was on thier contact form - they got back a few days later and simply asked "Whats the order number" - provided this instantly and still no response or product-three weeks on - makes me think they are taking orders and payments and not sending the products, highly recommend finding an alternative source for any USA products - discgraceful way to run an online company where your asked to trust them with your cash.

I placed a order on the 11’th January,, paid for next day delivery,, 1 week on still nothing,, the company is a Joke,, I rang the customer service number no answer,, definitely won’t be ordering again

Absolutely love them always my go-to company but have to be quick to order as soon as shipments come In it's quick to get sold out. Never have had any sort of issue if something is out of stock they will phone you or email you to see if either want a refund or another product similar in price. Everything is always well packaged and delivery depends on when you order is quick or can be a bit slow but either way yummy products and reasonable priced as well. Always recommended them to family.

Customer service gave me the strong impression that they really don't care. I had problems with the order *before dispatch* and after a long delay I was given a pathetic excuse about them not being able to fix it.

I raised the issue only a few hours after I submitted the order. The order didn't even get dispatched for another 4 working days, so they had plenty of time to resolve the problem.

I am adding 1 extra star on the basis that the packaging for the items I did receive was satisfactory and nothing was damaged.

But with the order issue being unresolved and the terrible experience with customer service, I have decided that I will not be ordering from this company or its parent company "American Fizz" ever again and will advise others to stay away.

Gave this company another try and sadly was extremely disappointed.
I spent over £50 and thought I would get free delivery but upon payment i didn't realise that vat was not included. Ended up paying nearly £6.
Even though the pop bottles were safely bubble wrapped the sweets were not. They were in a small box without any padding so therefore the chocolate wand was broken,the chocolate hersheys bar was broken and to add to it one of the lollipops cover was damaged. This caused the other sweets to become sticky.
When I contacted the company through Facebook I was told that I could have a refund for the bar and lollipop or a discount code for the next purchase. I would not with the wand without photo evidence. With it being the next night I have already allowed my son to eat it because it was damaged and I had already contacted them.
I asked if I could have a replacement of the lollipop and bar as they were for a special Christmas hamper but their response was "Unfortunately, we are unable to send items of such value without incurring a substantial cost for the parcel itself."
Very disheartened and disappointed with their customer service.

Arrived very quickly and all as expected! Good value compared to other sites.

Have used American Sweets/American Fizz successfully for years, with no problems on fast shipping & delivery and 99% happy with products tho once got a couple Peppermint Patties that were sticky stuck to inside of package due to being crushed in packing. After that all chocolate arrived in a separate interior box, excellent! Til last order with seized, pale and crumbly clear thru the 208 gr Symphony Bars, completely inedible, bowed in fact from being heated and reheated well before shipping as the 6 bags of Hershey's kisses and 6 chocolate bars on top of these were perfect. The Symphony bars never should have been sent out. Worst was the customer service, the 'not their fault' position and I could send back the unopened 3/4 bars at my expense, which I have done. This has cost them a customer as I will pay more to shop elsewhere rather than ever shopping again with a company lacking Ethics. Even close to or just past sell by date food must be edible and there is no excuse that will change that Fact. These bars were sell by Aug 23, 2 weeks before ordering. Shame on you for false economy rather than customer satisfaction.

I placed an order last week, it did take a little while but that's due to bank Holiday and then everything got packaged and sent out on 10th May, came on 11th May via dpd. The order contained glass bottles of Cola and it was very well wrapped and protected with extra protection in the box to ensure its arrival safely.

I see there are reviews complaining about the delivery times but the site is transparent that it takes a couple working days from order to dispatch depending on how busy it is and whether your order is around bank holidays or other holidays. Mine took a week from order to arrival with a bank Holiday in between so I'm quite satisfied with the turnaround.

Compared to a lot of American supply sites, I found this one to be quite fairly priced and more for my money. Highly recommend

I think this place has got a lot of unnecessary heat. I have ordered from them a couple of times and both times found them to be brilliant. There is a big disclaimer at the top stating it may take 5 days to dispatch your items, so my advice is order your items in plenty of time for when you are going to need them.
My items arrived within a week and were all packaged well and were really great quality. I have noticed when ordering American sweets elsewhere that they can arrive with the packaging damaged where they haven’t been properly packed. This wasn’t the case with this website. Everything arrived in pristine condition.
This will be my go-to website for all things American from now on.

I haven't bought anything from here (was going to) because the website gives popups (not even joking) giving fake notifications and popping scam websites. Takes advantage of the elderly

Well where do I start? My order got dispatched on the Monday with fedex (it says next day delivery on there website) tracking wasn't working, I had to change my day to wait in for this parcel as you have to sign for it? So waited in all day and no parcel, so email them to tell them that the parcel didn't turn up, and they said we will get an eye on it? So,Tuesday came along and had a txt message to say the parcel was out for delivery, so again had to wait in all day for the parcel? Tracking wasn't working again? So emailed them asking for delivery postage back but they won't do that? The girl said,next day delivery isn't guaranteed, even tho it says on there website fedex next day delivery? There is no sign of this next to the fedex delivery option? I asked her to send me something from there terms and conditions, she done that, then added something witch wasn't in the terms and conditions, they just fob you off, after a while they stop replying to your emails? I'm still waiting for a contact number for a manager to make a complaint.

Placed an order 1 week ago now. They said dispatch in 1-3 days. AFTER placing the order they updated with a disclaimer saying up to 5 working days dispatch due to Black Friday and Christmas. Considering they charge a lot for delivery and it hasn't even been dispatched yet I would avoid purchasing from here in future.

I recently purchased several sweets and gum from this website, including a box of Bazooka bubble gum. I received my parcel, and shortly after, opened up the box of bubble gum. I bit into one, and it was so hard I could barely get it to break (gum isn't supposed to break, is it). STALE. well stale. I've had this brand of gum since I was a kid so I know how it's supposed to be like (soft), and this gum was STALE.

So I emailed the company and told them this, expecting them to reply with a "sorry" and offer of a refund for the item. But instead, the company replied with "There is no reason that this gum would be stale." They then demanded that I send in a VIDEO lol as if that would prove the gum was stale.

I read this email, in disbelief, and replied back and basically told them to shove it and that I wouldn't order from them again.

Terrible response from company - terrible customer service. Selling stale items then refusing to admit they're doing it. Implying the customer is a liar. Not on.

There are many other American product websites that you can buy from, that won't sell you stale food or sweets, or who will "own it" if they do sell anything that's off. AVOID.

Very poor service! Poor mamagement! Waited for ages to receive the delivery. They have a disclaimer which said the parcel will be delivered with in 1-3 days, but it takes alot more longer than that and they dont reply email in working hours, so you are unable to confirm the delivery until they send it out whenever they like, and so no one available to pick up the delivery. After I try to cancel my order, they said there is a banner showing it takes 1-5 days, but when I made the order, there is no banner showing this information, and indeed it is not Christmas, there is no point for taking such long to dispatch. If it takes ages to dispatch, there is no point for next day delivery. I cant secure the exact time if delivery, and if no one at home to pick up the parcel, the candies melts, which is disgusting.

Totally not recommend this online store!

Am very happy with my order.
It did take a couple of days longer to come than I expected. I queried this and got an email back within 24 hours explaining and giving me a new delivery date, which they met. I think this is perfectly reasonable - stuff happens.
Everything I ordered is in the package, well packaged and well within date. I will be able to keep some of it for Christmas, and could even keep some for Christmas 2023, but my willpower isn't that strong!
I will order from them again.

My first order with American Sweets arrived today and I couldn't be happier with the service and quality. I have been buying my favourite flavour of pop tarts and shipping over from America for many years so I was delighted to find them available in the UK (and for a better price)! Products came in good condition, had long dates, and arrived very quickly.

I ordered several packs of Virgils black cherry soda they sent me 12 bottles in a box each bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them and the 4 pack carriers were inserted too. The pop was fresh and had plenty of time on the sell by date. Highly recommend anybody using them in the future.

Ordered on Thurs, expected delivery Tues.
Turned up 4 days early, on Saturday!

Well packed, everything perfect!

I think it’s pretty well known that people usually only write a review once they’ve had a bad experience which is clearly why there’s quite a few on here! Things happen. Many companies have been effected by covid and people need to be more patient! Had a great experience with the company. Excellent communication, ridiculously quick delivery. So chuffed. Thank you.
