Second time of ordering and everything came really well packaged and in date.

Was a great treat... until the unfortunate discovery that one of the Hershey's bar was dated to 2019...

The chocolate was an off color, its a little unacceptable. Definitley gonna look through the rest of my order and eat with caution.

Items arrived and more than half of the products where out of date some by a few months and others by over a year.

This is extremely disgusting and a breach of health and safety.

disgusting service asked where my order was and apparntly i was rude to them wont ever shop with them again cancled my order when i didnt intruct them to appualing service

We are currently experiencing a huge increase in the volume of orders and due to staff shortages we are dispatching our orders slower than usual. I'm sure you can understand the strain the current situation has put on businesses and now with our big 4th July weekend offering a discount on orders we are now experiencing an even larger amount of orders.

We are currently asking for up to 5 working days to dispatch orders as stated at the top of our website, which now also shows which dates we are currently dispatching.

I am sorry you are unhappy with the delays but we also do not accept rudeness from our customers, especially with the strain we are already under. Due to this and because you are unhappy with our service we will be cancelling your order and arranging a full refund. Please allow 24hrs for this to process and then 1-3 working days for this to show back in your account.

I'm a previous customer and would have been a future one, but now I feel very nervous about shopping with American Sweets. I anticipated a delay in shipping due to Covid-19 (understandably) and this was perfectly fine. Items received were all in date and as expected, with no damage. However, one item was missing. I e-mailed to notify American Sweets and received no reply. A month and eight e-mails later... still no response and no refund. Evidently from the feedback on Trustpilot I'm not the only customer to experience this. In this day and age to operate an online company and provide zero customer support is shocking. I consciously try to support independent retailers, but this is no way to handle customers and it just pushes you firmly towards Amazon, whose market dominance is contributed to a very simple ideology: the customer comes first.

I placed an order (granted was only yesterday) and my money is pending to go out in my bank account but i haven’t had an email or anything to say that my order is placed is this because of Covid or have i just been scammed can someone please help

Items arrived in good time and were packaged well. They seem to sell items a lot cheaper than other places and the products were all well within date. Definitely recommend for all your cravings that you can't find in your local shops.

Second time ordering from this company and I’m one very happy customer.

Everything we purchased had good dates on and the products are always wrapped up securely (especially the glass bottles which arrive in thick bubble wrap) When buying from the clearance section the dates are usually a little off, but it does actually mention this on the website.

The company also mentions that there will be a wait due to the current crisis, but when they say 7 days they mean it. We got out order within that time.

I’d recommend American Sweets if you’re craving American snacks, the prices aren’t as expensive as some of the companies I’ve come across.

Excellent services, everything was delicious, in date, and was delivered perfectly, with all the bottles individually wrapped in cute little bubble wrap pockets. Will definitely buy from these again.

Fast and efficient service and delivery, but some of the products were massively out of date. The price of them were still quite pricey despite being out of date and actually caused one of our household to have excruciating belly ache!

Everything on the website is really affordable and everything that I ordered came in my package.
The delivery was really fast I ordered on the 12th, received on the 16th via Royal Mail

Everything as great as expected. My crisps were packed carefully, so nothing was damaged. Quick dispatch, quick delivery... nothing more to add.

Cancelled my order with no reason given. Have emailed them twice in the past week to get a refund issued - no response.

I bought a bunch of American sodas from here but was a tad apprehensive given some bad reviews off of this but I decided to go for it and after the items arriving today I have no idea why anyone gave bad reviews at all.. ok the website does need a bit of work and the post and packaging price was a little steep but considering the care that went into individually wrapping each glass bottle in good quality bubbly wrap, it felt trivial to deduct a star based on this.. so to summarise I am more than happy with this company and will definitely be ordering again. I don’t often post reviews but my items literally just arrived and I felt I had to clear their name at least a bit by posting my experience. Great company, thanks again

Really shocked at the low rating!

I looked up American Sweets after placing an order with them as generally speaking, I would check this beforehand before ordering from any new company. After reading the crazy low Trust Pilot score I began contemplating whether to cancel my order however, based on one or two positive reviews I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

After 2 days of placing my order, I received email from FedEx confirming that they would be delivering however, the driver damaged my parcel and it was returned to the American Sweets factory. Upon learning this, I immediately contacted American Sweets via social media. I was very shocked when I got a response within a few hours confirming that they would be replacing my order and sending with DPD following the issues with FedEx.

I am not sure who rated this company so low but I for one am super impressed with their levels of customer service and how quickly they resolved my problem. I now can enjoy my Calypso's and Cinnabon donuts!

I order alot from here when I can great site amazing prices and customer service are amazing . Never had any hick ups with this company at all.

Started order process with empty basket (as one does!) but received /billed for order I hadn't placed! Got sent loads of stuff I hadn't asked for and was astonished to be told that customers have to pay for returning any goods they hadn't ordered!

It would have been cheaper to fly to the USA and buy everything directly.

Please use this company with caution - I am seriously out of pocket for not reading reviews before ordering!!!

I have had so many problems with this company.
To be honest its not their fault but there customer service is awful.

I ordered some stuff about 7 months ago... didn't get delivered.
After numerous emails with this company and the delivery company about 3 days later and they send me a picture of where it was left...
The delivery driver had left it at the back of my garden....
It had been raining - the whole delivery was ruined. the sweets went all soggy and nasty so I could not even eat them.. it all ended in the bin. I sent an email to them after that and they ignored it.
had spent a fortune and it all went in the bin..

So this time I think its not their fault really.. so I will give them another go...
Same problem with the delivery.. but this time the driver seems to be going to the wrong house.. I have been home 3 days now... it was meant to be next day delivery.. I kept getting promises that it will come tomorrow etc... not come yet...

Now I contact their delivery company and make a formal complaint etc... then they start talking about compensation.. So I asked for the delivery costs...

Now this is why they are getting 1 star... the company are refusing to give me the delivery price back - even though they are 100% guaranteed to get it back from the delivery company.

I find their customer services very rude.
They need to change their delivery company.. I do not live in the middle of no where...

I can’t fault them. They were the only UK supplier I could find that could supply the product I wanted (at least at a reasonable price!). Quick delivery. Definite recommendation from me.
