Wonderful First Swimming Lesson
We had such a wonderful experience with our daughters first swimming lesson yesterday. She was initially quite nervous and scared of the water, but her instructor was absolutely fantastic.
He was incredibly patient, calm and encouraging, taking the time to build her confidence rather than rushing her into anything. By the end of the lesson, she was noticeably more comfortable and willing to get into the water — which was a huge achievement for her first session!
A big thank you to her instructor for making her first swimming experience such a positive one. You could genuinely see how much effort he put into helping her overcome her fear and enjoy the water. We’re really looking forward to seeing her confidence grow over the coming lessons. Highly recommended!

Very good
The centre is in a good location with parking available. Facilities are clean and well equipped. I have a membership which includes free fitness classes which is great. Only problem that I had was with the waiting list system for classes. They send an email when there's a place available, you then have to go and try to book again rather than being allocated a place automatically.

Barnet Copthall LC- very friendly and…
Barnet Copthall LC- very friendly and helpful staff.
After my negative experience in the car park ( an attempted theft) the manager Daniel Morris intervened and save my belongings. He was very helpful and he even borrowed me some of his own tools that I could fix the damage. Many thanks to him. Overall all the staff is polite and professional.

The lovely person....Lamia.....on…
The lovely person....Lamia.....on reception ....always gives a very friendly professional welcome.....we come twice a week...always helpful and informative.
She always knows exactly what is going on at the Centre.....and advises accordingly..
If there is a queue of customers.....Lamia is calm and professional and efficient.....so no one has to wait for a long time. We are always pleased to see her on the desk.

I am more than happy with their services and customer support. This leisure centre has been our go-to for swimming and gym classes for 2 years. The pools are always well maintained and the staff genuinely make the difference. A special thank you to Lamia at reception, who always has an answer to my questions and sorts things out straight away. Highly recommend.

Daryn at Barnet Copthall is star
I'm new to Barnet Copthall. It was a hot day yesterday and the centre was particularly busy with families on half term. There was only one receptionist at the concierge in attendance and a long queue of people needing help.
Despite this, Daryn showed his ability to manage well under watchful pressure. He was patient and professional in mannerism, not only with the family in front of me, but also with me to help me resolve my issue. He went above and beyond to take the time to explain what I would need to do to ensure I scan my membership successfully to avoid future issues.

The range of activities is excellent
The range of activities is excellent. I am so impressed by the number of people with disabilities and older people using the facilities. A truly inclusive and friendly place.

The pool changing room areas are always dirty
The pool changing room areas are always dirty hair everywhere same with the showers theres empty shampoo bottles and hair everywhere.
Changing room floors are filthy.
The water in the pool its freezing cold every time I get in the water Im shivering.
I wouldn't really recommend this place.

Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre is a unique spot where both health and entertainment needs are well catered for. The location and spacious layout allow it to accommodate a large number of customers comfortably. The reception area and coffee shop are particularly impressive.
However, the online registration portal for booking beginner lessons and activities has noticeable glitches. When we first approached a male staff member at reception for assistance, he was quite impatient and seemed to place the blame on us for the registration issues. Unfortunately, we spent hours without receiving proper help.
The following day, we were assisted by Ms. Lamia at reception, and the experience was completely different. She was warm, welcoming, and highly professional. She listened carefully to our needs and concerns, and we were pleasantly surprised by how efficiently she handled everything—registering us and processing payment smoothly within minutes.
We are now thrilled to be enrolled in the swimming lessons and family fun swim sessions, and we’re really looking forward to attending more in the future.
