We reserved our new home at Quantum Fields in August, and the entire journey has run incredibly smoothly so far, from day one.
Colin and Rachel have been absolutely excellent. They guided us patiently through the entire upgrades process and took care of every single detail. When we hit a snag with the online portal not working, Rachel was on the case immediately and got it sorted, so we could finalise our upgrade purchases without any stress.
We also had our "Meet the Builder" meeting with Wayne, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Because the property is still under construction, he kindly allowed us onto the site so we could actually see our house in progress, which was a fantastic and exciting experience.
What has impressed us most is Colin and Rachel’s flexibility and communication. When our buyers needed a little extra time to complete their AML checks, the team at Littleport was incredibly understanding. They granted the necessary extensions without hesitation and kept our conveyancer fully informed.
We are shortly about to exchange contracts—which is incredibly exciting—with a view to completing this December. Everything is going perfectly to date, and we couldn't ask for a better team to guide us into our new home!

We have just reserved our property and Bev Horan has been exceptionally helpful both in dealing with administrative matters and choosing the extras for our new home. Our thanks go to Bev for everything she has done for us. She is a credit to Bovis.

Had a viewing in Tenterden and Lorraine (the rep) was polite and professional and explained everything in detail. The houses are amazing.

She was one of very good example who explained beautifully about the process on how to buy a house with bovis home. However, we need to save a deposit first and we are very happy with all information for what chus talked about it. Chus is very nice, approachable, warm, welcome, friendly and helpful person. We are very fortuned to meet her yesterday. I like the way Chus said to us we should not worry about the age when we buy the house. Thank you Chus for your hard work and convince us to do the right thing first. Hopefully, one we will have a house from Bovis home thats part of our future aim.

Extremely disappointing experience with Bovis Homes and the Smooth Move scheme.

My partner and I entered into Bovis Homes’ Smooth Move scheme because we believed it would make the process of selling our current home and purchasing our new Bovis home straightforward and secure.

We followed the process in good faith and marketed our existing property. We were fortunate enough to receive an offer at asking price and had a buyer ready to proceed.

However, on the very same day that we received the offer on our home, we were informed by Bovis that the plot we had been progressing with had been sold to a private buyer. This left us in an incredibly difficult position.

We had a buyer for our home but suddenly had nowhere to move to. Despite having entered into the Smooth Move process specifically to avoid this kind of situation, we have now been left with no option but to take our house back off the market and completely change our plans.

This has also meant having to let down our buyer, who had been relying on the sale progressing.

The whole purpose of Smooth Move, from our understanding, was to provide reassurance and make the process of moving home easier. Instead, our experience has caused us a huge amount of stress, disappointment and uncertainty, and potentially left us facing costs that we would never have incurred had this situation not arisen.

What is particularly frustrating is that we trusted Bovis to manage the process properly, only to be left without the new home we were expecting to purchase after already finding a buyer for our own.

We are extremely disappointed with how this has been handled and, following this experience, we would not consider purchasing a Bovis home again.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering the Smooth Move scheme to make sure they fully understand what happens if the property they are expecting to purchase is no longer available, particularly before committing to selling their existing home.

We just moved into our first New build home. From start to finish we had had exceptional treatment. Both Jeannette Clifton and Jessica Paine have been fantastic and always there to help
Move day went without a hitch.received a lovely welcome box which was a surprise.
Marius (site manager)introduced himself on the first day and made appointment to sit down with us in a couple of days to go over any problems we had. Nothing was to much trouble. Marius has arranged for the relevent trades to pop back to fix

Paid for a Snagging report but to be honest didn't need this as the faults that where picked up where minimal.

I purchased my plot in March and completed in June. The process from the start to finish was excellent. The sales representative Debbie at Bucklers Park was superb and the smooth move team were great! You hear some horror stories of new builds but this is my second (first was a different builder) this house has been finished to our exact specification and what our independent snagger said ‘was a very well built property’. Our after sales site team have also been amazing and so efficient at getting our small issues resolved and always easy to get in touch with . I would give 6 stars if I could. I am now settled in my beautiful home and glad I bought with Bovis

David was excellent from start to reservation of bungalow he was extremely patient with an 89yr old and the incentives he organised for me were great thank you Bovis

Do not buy from this company. They lie about the locations of housing association properties as they are sold to private investors so Bovis can get away with listing them as privately owned on their site map. They know exactly what they’re doing. Our estate is essentially a council estate and Bovis do not care about the anti social behaviour or how they clearly misrepresented properties. I am actually semi attached to a HA property when I was assured multiple times it would 100% be a private sale like us. The customer services team are useless and threatened me with legal action. DO NOT BUY A VISTRY HOME.

Bought a new Bovis home in June 2024 and couldn't fault the sales journey or the snagging. All I would say is do your research regarding your plot and the surrounding green areas as we have had issues with various residents gathering in communal spaces, destroying trees, drinking, fighting, swearing, loud music etc. Our supposedly private driveways are used by dog walkers, kids racing on scooters and bikes to shortcut the paths provided- only a matter of time before someone gets injured! Vistry are not interested in helping to resolve neighbourhood issues once the house is sold so ask residents already living on the estate for their opinion before you buy a new home, especially if its near a green space. We have a residents group now and all have to report incidents regularly to Housing Associations and the Police who are working with us to try and resolve issues.

Refused as a buyer with no explanation and no right of reply.

I tried to reserve a home with Bovis Homes and supplied every document that was asked of me, promptly and in full. After an internal review, I was told that my reservation would not be accepted and that they would not proceed with me as a buyer at all.

My complaint is about how that was handled rather than the outcome itself. I was given no explanation of what the concern actually was, so there was nothing I could usefully respond to. I was told there would be no further review and no appeal, and that no additional information would be accepted from me. I offered to provide anything further that might help. That offer was declined.

I raised a formal complaint and asked for the decision to be looked at independently. The process gave me no meaningful way to put my side of things.

I have since found a home elsewhere, with a provider who carried out their own checks and had no difficulty proceeding.

Buyers commit time, money and a great deal of hope before they ever get as far as reserving. Being refused outright with no reason given and no route of appeal is not an acceptable way to treat people.

Poor customer service for secure buyers. Visited the Pippins Place development in West Malling as a cash buyer with two mortgage-free properties. I was told there is a long waiting list for an unbuilt plot ready next summer, and that I would need to sell my home and go into rented accommodation to proceed. I was also told to chase them monthly for updates. The sales team completely failed to value a secure, chain-free buyer. They should be chasing the client, not the other way around.
