Search not friendly
I was looking for a specific vehicle that I found in a newspaper advertisement. The posting gave a vehicle number for a carsoup report, however, when I entered the number, I got several other vehicles, but not the one I was looking for.

Thank you for sharing about your experience using CarSoup.com. Are you are referring to the Quick Search number that is listed with the vehicles? If the vehicle was sold between the time the ad was printed and the time the ad ran in paper it will no longer show up when you type in the search number. If you enter the Quick Search number for a vehicle that has already been sold it will take you to a search results page instead so you look for other vehicles. We apologize that this was an inconvenience for you, but this happens on occasion with popular vehicles that are priced to move quickly.

When you say you couldn't find the quick search feature, are you referring to entering a quick search ID on our site so you can go directly to a vehicle listing? If you have a quick search ID on a vehicle, you can enter it into the search bar that appears in the top-right corner of our website and click enter. That will take you directly to the vehicle listing. We hope that helps!

In case you did not already know this, you can change the zip code easily by clicking on the hyperlinked text in the top-right corner of the search results page that appears after "Radius". For example, if you typed in a Minneapolis, MN zip code while specifying the search criteria, when you arrive on the search results page it will say "Radius: 50 mi. from Minneapolis, MN" in the top-right corner of the page. If you click on the "50 mi. from Minneapolis, MN" text a window will pop up that allows you to change the radius and zip code. There are a few other ways to change the zip code while searching, but that is one of the easier ways! We hope this helps.
Everything is just "ok"
I like the platform, it makes searching for cars much easier--however I took advantage of a free 25$ gift card for a test drive on a qualified car, and never actually received the promo, even though I followed all of the steps. I was going to test drive the car either way, but if you promise something-you should follow through.

I found my next car in a matter of one hour
After my daughter totaled my car I was in a hurry to replace it. I went on car soup and in a matter of 1 hour I found exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend carsoup.com, they make it so easy!

Dealer never responded to info request. You would think that Car Soup would vett their dealers better. If you say you will pass my interest in a car to a dealer, perhaps you should make sure dealers will respond. Anyone can contact a dealer directly. What did your site do to make my car search easier? Nothing. What was the point?

CarSoup.com strongly encourages vehicle sellers to actively manage their vehicle listings, including responding to interested buyers. However, it is ultimately up to the seller to manage the listing/responses to interested parties since they actually own the vehicles, not CarSoup.com. Good Resource
Looking for a used car is an overwhelming process. What CarSoup offers is a quick look at a portion of the used car population, but for me nothing will ever take the place of seeing the car first hand and the test drive. I did use CarSoup to inquire on a specific car of interest and the dealer response was immediate and offered alternatives to the vehicle that was listed. This was a positive experience.
The used car we selected was not a result of the CarSoup website, but by actually driving around to different used car lots looking firsthand and test driving the autos.
