Buying my car from Jessica was easy relaxed and fun I felt well looked after and nothing was too much trouble.

The selling process was great and smooth, or so I thought. I did not need finance, but was sold it on the basis that I could pay it off even after one month, and just pay the interest on that payment, but I would get 2 free services for this price, and it was a no brainer. I was assured of this 4 times. It wasn’t true, and has cost me over £2500. The conversation was witnessed, but they are still denying it. This is the worst sort of mis selling.
On top of this, a new car with a discount of 26% looked like a great deal. Some 6 months later, and the car is worth just over half the list price. So, I have taken a financial hit of £2500 on the finance, and £6k on the value of the car. Could this be the worst deal and worst practice ever? Avoid.
The sales process itself was great. I want to start by saying that Jamie, who handled our purchase, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us a genuinely positive experience while we were deciding on a used, approved BYD Seal U (25 Plate) in June 2026. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended.
Jamie promised a follow-up call one week after collection to check everything was okay and to see whether we had any questions. That call never came! I had to chase him myself, and there was no apology for the missed commitment. It set the tone for what followed.
A few weeks in, I noticed the boot button on the driver's door was broken. I drove to the dealership on a Sunday to report it in person and was told it would be logged, and I should call back in the morning to book it in. Following that advice, I did that the very next day and was told someone would call me back. That callback didn't happen either, and so I had to call them again myself the next day. When I finally got an appointment, I went in expecting to leave the car for repair, only to be told on arrival that a part needed to be ordered and I'd have to come back a second time.
By the second appointment, I'd found two more faults: a recurring windscreen washer fluid warning (a known/common issue on these cars) and a damaged electric charging cap that looked as though it had previously been bodged, causing it to fall off intermittently. I raised both issues when dropping the car off and showed staff directly. When the boot button repair was done, they called me, and I was told the washer fluid sensor would be covered under warranty — but the sales manager, Adam, refused to cover the charging cap, despite the fact I'd owned the car for only four weeks and granted this isn't something you'd reasonably check before buying a nearly new car, or any car in fact.
Overall, the pre-sales experience was excellent, but as soon as you've signed the papers, the after-sales service isn't great and has been frustrating and, at times, dismissive. Between missed callbacks, having to chase repeatedly, and a refusal to cover a fault on a car I'd barely had a month, it feels like the moment that the sale is made, the customer stops being a priority. This doesn't fill me with confidence if I find more issues with the car while it's still under their 3-month warranty.
I had recommended this dealership to family, but I've since told them to think carefully before doing the same. I'd urge anyone considering a purchase here to go in with eyes open about what after-sales support actually looks like. I'm also looking into taking the charging cap issue further because I think it's unacceptable that I've been finding so many issues on a nearly new 'approved' car after putting my trust into this dealership.

My car had to go in to be fixed for trying several times to kill me!! The tech is trying to take over - in all seriousness tho, my Superb was slamming in the brakes with absolute no reason. We dealt mainly with Lauren who couldn’t have done anything more for us, she kept us updated with everything that was happening, when something hadn’t gone to plan she was also upfront and forthright which I appreciated immensely. In my eyes all you can ask for is open, honest communication.
When Lauren wasn’t available we found Elliot to be equally as helpful.
Matty in the workshop deserves a mention for sticking with it and not giving up - I think I’d have thrown a spanner in the end but his professionalism yet still friendly attitude was appreciated.
All round a fantastic team that don’t shy away from a challenge.
If you are needing repairs or maintenance carried out on your vehicle I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending D M Keith in Leeds - give Lauren a call

Excellent service throughout from a very professional organisation and a sense of well being from the Sales operative David.
He dealt with the whole process in a polite and courteous manner with no hard sell and fully informative persona. A credit to the company. Thank you David for a turnaround of only 24 hours.

I wrote a review a few day's ago regarding some issues and received an immediate response back from Jon Cooke, who wanted to make contact and how to resolve the concern. After speaking to Jon on the telephone, he listened to me and immediately said what he and the company were able to do for us regarding a recent purchase. This was a perfect example of putting the customer first and listening to what they have to say and how to put things right. That is exactly what Jon did, he was able to have a discussion on how the company could help and after the phone call ended, that is exactly what they did which was "to put things right".
This is exemplary of a company who have many years of experience in keeping customers happy. I want to "shout from the rooftops" that D M Keith surpassed all of my expectations and more. They listened, acted and resolved a problem to a satisfactory conclusion which in this very highly competitive market of sales is very unique. One very happy customer and thanks to the whole company from the top to the shop floor, they delivered. Thanks it is very much appreciated.

My disabled daughter who is an amputee purchased a vehicle from the ossett branch she took the car out on the motorway to visit her sister and I was with her. The car didn't go above 50 mph and it was dangerous with cars and trucks pipping at us. We got AA out and printed off a sheet with lots of codes and said it could be the filter. We sent the car back and got it back after two weeks. We got it back but again the engine light came on. AA came out and said its the filter from last time. We sent it back within the warranty and received a message that due to wear and tear they would fit a new filter but she needed to pay 800 pounds for the part being 800 pounds. My daughter cried her eyes out she's on her own and bought her dream car. It's turned into a nightmare and hadn't got 800 pounds and had already paid for 2 tyres one was replaced because a garage said if stopped with the police she would end up with points ts on her licence. Since buying the car in March 26 she was driven it a couple of times and its been in for repairs for over three weeks on two separate occasions. Under the consumer act 2015 the fault was not pointed out and came to light on the first day bit was told its wear and tear not covered under the Warranty but didn't point this out and having to pay 200 for tyres and another 800 on top of purchasing a 16000 car its not good to have the faith and trust be taken away. No courtesy car given the car still in the garage and unable as a disabled person to keep independent. Not the best experience from a reputable company that led her to buy from.

I fully recommend this family run company, great service, great sales team what more could you ask for.

We travelled to Ashton Under Lyne from Devon for a family celebration and our Suzuki started making an awful noise late Friday on the way up. We tried a local garage who said they would need our car for the week, so we popped into DM Keith on Saturday 20th June on the off chance, but not expecting much. I don't think I have ever been so well looked after! From the first person we felt welcomed, and Angela was outstanding - kind, knowledgable, realistic and went many extra miles to help us. The mechanic was friendly, approachable, and pragmatic (we didn't get your name, sorry), to enable us to get back on the road by midday and eventually back to Devon, thus turning what could have been a disaster of a weekend into a brilliant experience (apart from the M62 of course). I note from reviews there are a few DM Keiths, but the Ashton under Lyne branch is highly recommended and if we lived up there I would definitely want to use them for sales and service. Thank you all.

Bought very nice care, from Sheffield Europa and so far it runs well - At the point of sale was told they would source a replacement switch for drivers heated seat and aquire replacement owners handbook that was missing.
Three weeks on and still not heard anything from them - Rang several times to chase up and couldn't get through - When I eventually got through they still had not got the items and was told they had attempted to aquire the part on Ebay !!! - Informed them that unless it was an OEM part they were not putting a cheap substandard item on the vehicle.
This has completely spoiled the whole experience of buying a nice vehicle because when someone tells me they are going to do something (call me old fashioned) but I expect them to do it.
Following the usual platitudes and repeated transfer of my call, I was left feeling like they have no sense of urgency, that they have got their profit from the sale and are not particularly interested.
Out of curiosity I contacted a local Renault dealer to see how hard it would be to get a price on an OEM switch, took me ten minutes and was told that although they did not have part in stock it would be available for collection in two days - If I can do this as a nurse why can't Sheffield Europa car dealership ?
When I informed Europa of my own enquiry with Renault they had the gall to ask me if I knew the part number. . .Not exactly filling me with confidence if they can't organise and execute something so basic in a timely manner.

At 48 years old this was my first brand new car buying experience. It will be my last from a DM Keith dealership. Initially communication was good. But over the course of the deal communication got worse progressively. Several calls placed for an update without response. Several emails sent and continuous chasing until a response was received with excuses given. I specifically asked for the car not to be prepped as I was having it detailed and ceramic coated. Collection was arranged for a specific date and time. Upon arrival I was kept waiting because the salesperson had been tasked with delivering a car to another site. Eventually I was shown the car. It had several scratches and a dent in the bonnet. The handover process was rushed and lacked a lot of information relevant to the new car and it's features. The salesperson was clearly running behind schedule and another customer collecting their new car was already waiting. I fealt like I was an inconvenience. Whoever had collected the car from their compound and delivered it to the dealership had clearly not taken into account this was a brand new car. They agreed to have the dent in the bonnet removed but informed me I had to return at a week later to have it fixed. A date was arranged for a week later with the salesperson. Only to be told a few days later by email that the company they use to remove dents wasn't available on the agreed date. I had to call the sales manager Sam and inform him that if it wasn't sorted for the previously agreed day that I would return the car under the 14 day return policy. I had to constantly chase them for updates and responses to any forms of communication. Eventually took the car back and they had the dent in the bonnet removed and also the scratches. I requested that they charge the car whilst I was there as I shouldn't be out of pocket for having to return the car through no fault of my own. I was informed once the corrective work was finished that they couldn't charge the car on site as their charges are slow. They reimbursed me for a charge that I had to do at a services on my journey home. I've also found out since that other customers who purchased their BYD from this dealership on the same weekend that they've received a £100 voucher towards a wall charger and a free first service. I haven't been offered any of these.
A few weeks later I enquired about a service plan. Again I had to chase this up on several occasions. Eventually I received a reply with just the cost. No information on what was included or any other information. I decided to contact the BYD dealership in Bury which is considerably closer to my location. The level of service and communication I received from BYD Bury in the short time I was in communication with them surpassed DM Keith by a massive amount. Not only that they offered me a much better service plan and gave me a full and detailed breakdown of what was included. You'd think the dealership you purchase the vehicle from would want to retain it's customers by offering the best service and customer satisfaction. DM Keith clearly don't follow this principle.
When I dropped the car of at the professional detailers he inspected the paintwork and pointed out to me that a smart repair had been carried out on the passenger side of the rear bumper. This in conjunction with the dent in the bonnet and several scratches on different areas makes me question the quality of the BYD brand. This is my first BYD vehicle and it will be my last.
Long story short. A very disappointing first new car buying experience. If you want to purchase a brand new car then stay away from this dealership. In fairness they tried to fix the issues I experienced but that did not detract from the poor communication and poor service.
Once they've agreed the deal they move onto the next potential customer and treat you with complacency.

I recently bought a car from D. M. Keith BYD Leeds, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish, thanks to Andy Austin.
From the moment we walked in, Andy made us feel welcome, valued, and completely at ease. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the BYD range, answering every question with patience and clarity. There was zero pressure. Instead, his friendly, genuine approach made us feel less like customers and more like friends by the time we left. We were even looked after with a great cup of coffee while we waited.
The handover process was equally impressive. Andy was thorough and efficient, taking the time to pair my phone, explain the essential controls, and quickly sort out a missing charging lead without any fuss.
If you are visiting this dealership, I highly recommend asking for Andy Austin. You will get brilliant, honest, and attentive service.
