Stay away - Never again

I ordered a pulse oximeter following checking with HCE via chat A) the product was available B) delivery time frames (confirmed as being 2/3 days). The order was placed 12.43 the 31 March and credit card payment was taken at the same time. The order was seen and was being processed 31 March 12:46. The product was available to order on their website in the colour they specified was the only colour available. Other colours you could not select for order. Chased the order via thier 'chat' facility (twice), emailed their sales (no response), called their sales (told to email sales but eventually put through). Here is where it gets interesting..... I find (not them upfront telling me this, I had to chase and dig for the info) I was seventh in line for the product I ordered, the product was not in stock, the product was on back order, they could not tell me when the back order may be filled. When I question why I was able to place the order (bear in mind I couldn't place an order for the other options I would have preferred because they were out of stock) the one of two people in the sales office gets all chippy with me telling me it was standard online ordering practice....absolute rubbish! All the other sites I have EVER used will not allow you to place an order unless it is in stock OR invite you to email notification when it is back in stock. I shudder to think how long I would have been waiting for delivery to arrive or how long I would have been wait for notification from them that there were back order issues had I not had the presence of mind to chase delivery clarification. Do yourself a favour and heed the warning BUYER BEWARE

UPDATE: 12 April
And.....I’m STILL waiting for my refund for the product I was duped into placing an order for. It took them 30 seconds to take it from my credit card!

Dear Steve, first of all I would like to apologise for inconvenience this may have caused.

You have caught us during very bad times and we have been extremely busy due to the Coronavirus.

The particular item you ordered is normally in stock at all times but unfortunately the manufacturer was unable to supply us because there is a manufacturing problem due to high demand and our order was put on hold. This is the same for many items of medical equipment and consumables during this pandemic.

I hope you understand this is not normal practice at all and is due to very uncertain circumstances and was out of our control.

We allow for products to be on back order because the NHS are in need of them and are willing to be on a waiting list. We clearly state on the website that we prioritise NHS hospitals and GP surgeries.

We are always happy to provide full refunds.

Again, we do apologise, take care.

Excellent

I was searching for a Gynaecological chair. Hannah was extremely helpful, providing brilliant advice.

We ended up purchasing a Medi-Plinth - electric with foot pad plinth. My colleague and myself are really happy with the speed of service and quality of the product.

We will definitely be returning to purchase our next asset.

Would Highly Recommend!

The HCE team couldn't help us enough! The service was excellent from the website live chat, to the sales team over the phone.

They provided us with a quote very quickly and at a competitive price. They were even able to dispatch the product the same day with next day delivery.

I would highly recommend!
