Luxaflex UK Avis 

It is really disappointing to read the poor review below as we have had a really good experience with them. Until a few months back we did not know of "luxaflex" until we moved into our new home, which was fitted with their blinds in most of the windows. Some blinds worked and some did not, so we spoke with them and we were pointed in the direction of our nearest showroom. They could not of been more helpful, they plotted out a plan to resolve our issues with an idea of costs before visiting the property, which was helpful rather than trying to sell us new blinds. As it turned out that the previous owner had taken a number of parts including some of the remotes, batteries and router which controlled the blinds over the internet. All missing parts were replaced and demonstrated to us so we can now control our blinds at home and when we are away using an app on our phones. We also added some of their new Japanese screen type roller blinds too, which we are really happy with. I dont know if I am supposed to mention the dealer but we were recommend to use littlehampton blinds who were just great. They have allot of big blinds in their showroom which is where we saw the extra blinds we bought.

I bought Luxaflex Automated Twist blinds about 4 years ago and have regretted the purchase ever since. In the 4 year’s I’ve had the blinds I’ve had them returned to Luxaflex for replacement once. The blinds constantly lose their memory, especially when they do a software update. The vanes on the blinds are constantly out of line meaning the supplier had to come out on numerous occasions to reprogram and adjust them. After the two year warranty was up, I had to pay each time they visited, now they won’t visit at all stating they have no expertise left in the business. I have subsequently been told that my supplier has terminated his business with Luxaflex stating numerous customer complaints and time consuming after sales service, although they still advertise Luxaflex blinds on their website !!! So now I’m left with no one to fix my blinds. Two and half grand down the drain. This is a warning to people considering purchasing the said blinds. DONT DO IT. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Just had a Powerview Lightline Roller Blind fitted. So pleased with it! It looks very contemporary and diffuses the light really nicely, which was what I wanted. The blind runs very smoothly and the remote control is so handy. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience having Deluxa Blinds Chester fit our Luxaflex Duette PowerView blinds and smart hub today. Blinds look great and operate very easily via remote and wifi.
Professional, polite, friendly, quick and tidy installation, nicely resolving an awkward change in ceiling height. Looking forward to the blinds thermal properties giving us warmer winters and cooler summers as a result of in our sun room.

We have had our installation of Luxaflex blinds and shutters completed by Littlehampton Blinds and we are thoroughly delighted. We knew what to expect as our neighbour has had a similar installation from them and were very happy. The journey from visiting their lovely showroom to the initial home survey and then installation was very easy and the quality of what we have purchased is very good. Yes, they weren’t the cheapest quote we had but we feel comfortable knowing we have a long warranty and a place to come if we need them.

We have 6 Luxaflex blinds, 2 of which are powered. I managed to snap the retaining clip of the battery holder when changing the batteries. Emailed their customer service, spare part arrived the next day. Very happy with their after sales service. Thank you.

We have a number of their venetian blinds bought over a period of years and the early ones were not at all bad. But lately there has been a deterioration in design and ergonomics - the multiple control cords on large blinds now all run through a single hole so tend to jam and tangle, and the flimsy cord grips fall to bits. They are very expensive, and whilst they are slightly better quality than some competitors, we have had two out of three recent orders replaced because they were not as ordered - wrong slats in one case, side control wires omitted in the second. Pity they can't get their internal communications to work properly and sell at a price that doesn't have to cover chucking away two-fiths of the production due to stupid errors!

Have a number of Luxaflex metal venetian blinds which have served us really well over the last 11 years.

Last week one of the plastic lower rail brackets broke. after a search on eBay and Amazon I ordered 2 from eBay for £4!!. Unfortunately they were the wrong ones and didn't
fit.

My wife suggested I contact Luxaflex direct.

A VERY helpful Customer Support person ably assisted me and within minutes had taken my details, identified the part required and agreed to send me 7 off (to cover any further breakages) FOC, Next Day delivery!

They duly have arrived and one has already been fitted.

If only other UK companies could be as helpful and supportive of their customers after sales service needs. An example to all of how to do it!

When I next need blinds I will be shopping with Luxaflex.

Just had a set of 4 Luxaflex Powerview Duette blinds installed. They really finish off our new extension and the automation on the App is so easy to set. The remote is also easy to use. Myself and my wife are so impressed we will definitely be adding other Powerview blinds to the house in the future.

We are delighted to be leaving a positive review for our new Luxaflex blinds. We looked on many websites for electric blinds and what they could do, but struggled to find an actual shop where it was clearly displayed as a real life environment for us to try.

After a fair bit of research and speaking with a very helpful lady at Luxaflex, we were pointed in the direction of our local dealer Littlehampton blinds.

Their shop is everything we needed to see to fully understand how the powerview system works and also their knowledge of how it would work with the smart products in our home was also very impressive.

We have had a mixture of roller blinds and duette blinds throughout our home which look great and has done everything we expected and we are very happy customers.

I bought some luxaflex shutters via one of their gallery dealerships, Material things, and they look absolutely stunning. They arrived within the expected timeframe and were fitted at a time to suit me. The quality is excellent and I've had many compliments from friends and family who have since visited. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend luxaflex and will most certainly be ordering more in the future.

I have had Duette blinds for over 7 years and I love them. They are easy to use, give a contemporary look and are very robust. They also keep the warmth in in the winter and the heat out in the summer.

The blinds are awesome and the powerview was very easy to integrate with my google home.

Totally not worth the high cost and wish I had gone with the cheaper Somfy system instead. I had 6 PowerView roller blinds installed for around £4500. One motor didn't work, the LED on another didn't work, and the bottom cover was missing on a cassette. The blind fabric is not even when unrolled and curls at the edges.

There's very limited documentation on the PowerView system and setting up the Hub so it took many hours of trial and error to get it working with my home network. Luxaflex will not help with anything and only tell you to contact the supplier.

In the spring of 2015, we spent in excess of £4,500 on Luxaflex Duette pleated blinds for the roof of our conservatory. Seven years on and every single blind has deteriorate to the extent that they have either split or will not open evenly. We have been told by both the fitter and Luxaflex that they all need replacing at a cost of over £4,000 inc VAT. It's clear these blinds are not fit for purpose unless we are prepared to fork out £4k every seven years.

I have rung Customer Services about a couple of different things and they have always been very helpful.

However, I would like to make a special mention about Collette in Customer Services. She went out of her way to arrange for some samples from the Duette range to be sent out to me. Some product codes on her system were different to the codes I had, but she took her time to find the right samples for me. I really appreciated this.

I look forward to having the Luxaflex blinds fitted in my new home.

Just had 8 Powerview Rollers installed in my new home. Really pleased with the quality and service. The blinds work automatically - going up in the morning and down at sunset - really pleased and surprised how quiet the motors are - you wouldn't know they were moving!

We have 5 small motorised blinds that cost over £3000. One of them has been malfunctioning and needs to be re-corded. Our original supplier is no longer in business. Have tried to get another provider to commit to repairing it via the Luxaflex web site. No chance - they will only deal with their own customers. Given their original cost, this is very poor aftercare. Beware of the ‘tough luck - buy a new one for another £750’ attitude, when what is required is £2 of blind cord and a perhaps an hour(?) of a knowledgeable fitter’s time. Welcome to the throwaway culture of this company.
