Extremely poor quality and shocking lack of quality control.
In both shoes, there were protruding nails in the heel area, clearly felt even through the original factory insoles, causing pain and discomfort from the very first wear. Instead of proper finishing, the issue was hidden with a piece of cardboard and a half insole, which provided no real protection or comfort.
What is even more concerning is that a different shoe style from the same brand arrived with visible mould. This shows that the problem is not limited to one model, but suggests serious issues with storage and quality standards.
Overall, the shoes look cheap, feel stiff, and are poorly made. I am extremely disappointed with the brand, especially as the quality of their shoes seems to be getting worse year after year.
Selling shoes in this condition is unacceptable. I would not recommend Moda in Pelle.

This company is shocking there is NO customer support or service nobody responds to emails nobody picks up the phone and there is no choice to leave a message on the chat because there is nobody dealing with all the complaints I received a pair of faulty boots which I’ve had to send back for £8.15 because of the size of the box and won’t hold my breath for that to be refunded,this company is a con and are scammers and you can’t even leave a review on their website which they send you to do,good luck to anyone that uses them they will be out of pocket just like me and have reported them to trading standards they need closing down.

At first I was annoyed at not receiving my order as expected or any communication from Moda in Pelle. It took Beatriz, in customer services to sort this out for me. She was so understanding and helpful, definite 5* service, for me to finally understand what had happened and receive my order. Her service was amazing. She kept me informed fully and truthfully, explaining the issue they had had. She made extra calls, she responded quickly to my emails, and was pleasant and understanding, despite me being rather grouchy. She assured me of the delivery and my order arrived as she said. I am so glad I waited as in truth it was only an extra couple of days and the shoes are amazing. They are beautifully made and perfect for my outfit and occasion. I will now definitely use Moda in Pelle again. Well done Beatriz you are an asset to the company.

Purchased a pair of £75 boots in December 2025 that I returned via Evri, who lost them it seems. Moda in Pelle online customer services incredibly slow (still waiting for a reply to an email sent 7 days ago) and they just say to speak to Evri. Evri says to ask the retailer for a refund. Will not purchase from MiP again.

They don't make it clear that their returns policy is customer pays so beware. It is printed in pale grey, small type so they definitely want you to miss it. Shoe sizes very variable. One size 7 is too small, the other is too big. Will not buy from them again.

Ordered a pair of trainers in the sale. When they arrived they were damaged and had clearly already been returned as they had pet hair on/in them. Sent an email to customer services with photos to show defects/damage. The automated email in return states allow 3 working days for a reply - it’s been 3 working days and I’ve heard nothing. Poor all round.

I have returned good by post over two months ago, and following stress and endless chasing via emails for my refund - post receiving confirmation that goods have been safely returned - I am still to receive my refund! Absolutely appalling experience and service - save yourself the grief - avoid this seller at all costs!

STILL waiting on refund that I was told was processed over a week ago. What an absolute joke. Takes about 5 days to reply to emails. Customer service is non existent.

Update / clarification:
The boots began peeling after around two to three weeks of very limited wear. I work from home and only wore them for short school pick-ups and occasional weekend outings.
The issue is peeling and separation of the surface layer, which is not consistent with how genuine leather behaves. The retailer later confirmed the material is Porvair (synthetic), although this was not clear to me at the time of purchase.
I raised the issue with the retailer and provided photos, but the claim was declined and classified as “wear and tear / intensive use”. I have escalated the matter through my payment provider and logged it with Citizens Advice.
As multiple customers report similar early faults and identical responses, I would encourage others to document issues carefully and pursue formal complaint and dispute routes so repeated concerns can be escalated and examined at a wider level.

I bought some boots last season and they are so comfortable and wear well unfortunately one of the studs came away and needed to be replaced
Unfortunately they were well out of warranty however after contacting the Customer Service Team they couldn’t have been more helpful 🥰 a replacement stud was sourced and immediately shipped to me at no cost

Wont be using this company. I had a faulty boot so had to pay for own return as customer service e didn’t respond to me. I used the same company that delivered the boots (Evri) and the boots have never arrived. I’m liable for this and Evri haven’t even had the decency to respond to my requests to file a complaint. I am now out of pocket £85. Shocking customer service and even worse delivery company used.
Update - with regard my order number 1928958 and ticket number 268552. But I have been in regular contact and nothing can be done as the parcel has never arrived back with the company. I won’t be emailing again as that’s all Ive done for 2 months

I was unable to purchase a pair of boots needed for a forthcoming holiday from neither Guildford or Farnham, but they recommended me to phone York who had one of only 3 pairs in the Country. Phoned York and spoke to Sarah, she kindly forwarded the boots on to me with efficiency and helpfulness. They arrived earlier than expected and could not ask for more excellent customer services.

I contacted customer services re an issue I had with r9me trainers. Monica dealt with my query from beginning to end. She was very helpful, professional, great customer service resolving my query. I would not hesitate to contact them again.

Maybe I should have read the reviews before purchasing... I loved the boots, but they were way too small and I order a size 6 from any range, shoe, boot, trainer etc, so this is definitely an issue with the product. No return slip inside, so I had to download from the site and paid for the return. Tried to call Moda customer service only for it to be closed, at 17:15pm, when it states 18:00 on website, called several times, one time just had my call cancelled, very frustrating. No response from web chat either. Every company I have dealt with will issue a refund and claim from courier, this should not be for the customer to navigate, having worked with a major delivery service, I know this is how it should be done. Please choose carefully if using this company, and I hope you don't have to return anything, as I am now £30 out of pocket
