Friendly helpful staff and smooth service

They did a great job laying carpet and vinyl in my home, they even mended my stair runner carpet for me! Brilliant service!

Love my flooring in livingroom and guys that fitted it was amazing been with yous for few time and never let me down

The carpet itself was good quality and the fitting was completed on the planned date to a decent standard. However, considering I paid approximately £2,000 upfront (rather than in instalments), I expected a considerably better level of customer service. Unfortunately, this aspect of the experience left a lot to be desired.

PROS
- Home visit was helpful. I appreciated not having to go into a store and feel overwhelmed by thousands of carpet options. Having a more limited selection and professional suggestions made the decision-making process much easier.
- Good Quality Carpet
- I had to make a change to my order which was easy to do and a charge of £30.
- Fitting was completed on planned date, job done to a decent standard.

CONS
- The salesperson was good but at times I felt not heard as a customer.
- We were not made aware until after the order had been placed and payment had been made that we would be responsible for removing the existing carpets ourselves. We had a significant amount of carpet to remove, including stairs at the front, the upstairs and the back of the house, and this turned into a much bigger job than we had anticipated. This should have been made clear before we committed to the purchase.
- Fitters left behind all the excess carpet and rubbish for us to clear/dispose, there were bags of it
- Lots of Carpet fluff left behind after cutting/fitting the carpet - when asked fitters if this will be tidied up - was told they don’t do that and customer has to hover up themselves

Overall, the carpet and fitting were good, but the customer service and communication fell short of what I would expect for a £2,000 purchase.

For text to say what what roughly what time he would be arrive and the time keeping was fantastic.
To protect my new floor he put cardboard under them.
Respected my property the quality and the service was excellent highly recommend.

Mix up with payments and when called a month out off fitting to change colour of carpet told too late! Have cancel order and pay 30 quid another sales appointment. For this reason wouldn't recommend to a friend or use again but overall yip does what it says.

Highly recommend pay smart carpets, from coming to measure rooms to carpet being fitted great communication and quality carpets

I placed an order with Pay Smart Carpets after being highly recommended from a Family member. A few days later, unfortunately we changed our mind in the carpet and there was no other alternative colour we liked so rang and asked for the order to be cancelled. I was told over the phone to put it in writing so i did just that. I got a bit of a rude response implying that money was the issue which was incorrect, i replied and explained that paying for the carpet was not the issue (they were actually hundreds cheaper than what we had been quoted and again asked for my order to be cancelled. I did not receive a response so naively assumed they had cancelled my order. 1st September comes and i receive an email confirming that my first payment of £65 has been taken successfully from my account. At the time of writing, i have rang Pay Smart Carpets 3 times asking for my money back and for written confirmation that my order has been cancelled. Each time i’m told i need to wait for an email from refunds and cancellations and still, no such email has been received. No one can escalate the issue. No one can tell me when i’ll get said email to confirm my refund has been processed. No one can tell me when i’ll get my money back. No one seems willing at all to help me and try and resolve the matter. Absolutely disgusting and so disappointing after being highly recommended from a family member who has used them to carpet nearly their whole house. I’d think very very, very carefully about placing an order with this company.
