My reply to your 2 reply...I have had car insurance for over 40 years...NEVER has any company kept my deposit for more than 3 days if I chose to cancel...STOP making excuses as to why you can't return MY MONEY OF £395 immediately..its disgusting and inexcusable as there is absolutely no reason for you to hold on to it...you piss people off so much they cancel and then hold on to their £395 ...how many more people have you done this with eh???. Deliberately for no reason making excuses as to why you can't insure them after approving them then saying the documents are not right when they were fine then constantly threatening to cancel the insurance AFTER THE £396 is paid so you can make interest on it then piss people off enough then they cancel like i have ...and all those people you have done the same thing to and keeping their £395 deposit for a whole month....even my bank said its underhanded and if you dont return it they will retrieve it for me!!
Don't insure with these scammers earning interest on other people's money!!!!?

Right I do not do reviews however I need to review this incredible company, Merrick Agbaso was the staff member dealing with my case. Let me say something if you call up and want to get insured he is the man to ask for. You can have a laugh with him while he gets the best possible deal. NO BRAINER CALL AND ASK FOR MERRICK

Wasted an hour chatting on the phone. Reps are back and forth to the undertakers. Undertaker wanted to up the price of the premium by adding goods insurance on my policy. I only play golf once every two weeks i dont need it. No thanks

A was given a good quote in June. I paid the initial instalment and set up direct debit. I then had no further contact so I emailed several times and used the live chat. No reply to my emails and live chat was awful. I submitted a complaint and in return received notice of a cancellation if I didn’t pay within 7 days. Appalling follow up and customer service.

Extremely disappointing service after being a loyal customer

We currently have four existing van insurance policies with Quote Detective, so I am extremely disappointed with the level of service we have received when trying to insure an additional vehicle.

When we took out our most recent policy, their sales representative, Jamie, specifically made a point of advising us that when we next required another vehicle, we should move everything across to a fleet policy. Based on that advice, when we purchased our next vehicle I contacted Jamie expecting this to be relatively straightforward.

Jamie advised me that everything should be fine, that he would put the details across to the underwriters and that he would come back to me later that day. I heard nothing.

I chased the following morning and was told I would receive an update by midday. Again, nothing. I chased again the following day and was promised another call back, which also never happened.

By Thursday, after several days of chasing, I eventually spoke to somebody else who told me that Quote Detective no longer dealt with fleet policies. This was particularly frustrating considering that a fleet policy was exactly what their own representative had previously recommended to us.

On Friday, I was then informed that Jamie was now on holiday in Miami and therefore couldn't deal with the matter. I was promised that a manager would call me back instead. Once again, no call ever came.

The situation then spilled into the following week, with me continuing to chase for an answer. After approximately 10 days of calls, promised callbacks and waiting, I was finally told on the Wednesday that they were unable to provide the fleet policy.

What makes the whole experience even more frustrating is that I then contacted another insurance company, explained exactly what we required, and they arranged and fully insured us under a fleet policy the very same day.

I completely understand that an insurer or broker may ultimately be unable to provide a particular policy. My issue is the way this was handled. If Quote Detective could not offer fleet insurance, we should have been told this from the outset rather than being repeatedly told someone would call us back and being left chasing for nearly two weeks.

Considering we already have four policies with the company, I would have expected considerably better communication and customer service. The lack of ownership, repeated failed promises to call back and the amount of time wasted have left me extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would find it very difficult to recommend Quote Detective or consider placing further vehicles with them.

Excellent service from Jaimie. My policy was at risk of cancellation, but Jaimie sorted everything out quickly and arranged an extension to keep my cover in place while I waited for my documents. Clear communication throughout and genuinely helpful — nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend, and thank you again, Jaimie!

I had comercial policy with quote detective for 2 years, after months of fight they issued me for 1 year no claims bonus but still holding 1 years no claims bonus by saying we are allowed to issue only latest year no claims bonus, 2 years no claim bonus is my right and i will not leave until i get my right staying in legal limits i will keep fighting, please avoid this company if you can
