Where to start..?
First of all Richard followed up every query, with recommendations. To be expected you may think, as that's trying to get a sale. However AFTER the sale ( I ordered online) he rang me up to check sizes and recommended a change, which was well needed. Excellent service indeed, and I'm very happy with the Lake winter boots I bought.

Spoke to Richard who turned out to be the most genuine and helpful guy. He really took his time to assist and wanted to make sure I was making a good purchase for myself.
I feel most sales reps these days are just trying to make a quick sale to boost their numbers this quality of service and care rarely exists these days and certainly doesn't exist in larger chain stores.
Will be making more purchases from Richard and Salt Dog Cycling in future.

I have used Salt Dog a number of times. Richard the owner is the most helpful guy on the planet. He has sourced me items that appear unavailable , given great advice and his prices are ultra competetive like for like.
I can particularly recommend him for Lake Cycling Shoes.
If only more companies had his ethics and customer service the world would be a better place.
If he sells an item you need don't think about going elsewhere.

I purchased a pair of Lake road shoes and upon arrival of the shoes discovered that the size was too small. I then spoke to a guy named Richard who was very helpful providing guidance and arrange for an exchange to a bigger size.

It is always unfortunate when you have to spend additional money on shipment but I guess that is the risk when buying shoes online. In any case, I am very pleased with the service and would not hesitate to buy from Salt Dog Cycling again.

I have feet a hobbit would be proud of, wide, high volume, high instep. I've always had problems getting any sort of shoes to fit so, given that most cycling shoes seem to be made for very narrow feet I took to the internet and repeatedly saw Salt Dog Cycling mentioned and Lake shoes in particular for a wide fit. Over a couple of weeks of phone calls and shoes going backwards and forwards, Richard helped me get a pair that fitted like slippers.....probably better than any shoes I've ever owned, let alone cycling specific. I can't thank Richard enough for the time he spent talking me through options and helping with the purchase. If only more shops would take this amount of time and interest in their customers.

I'd very happily recommend Salt Dog Cycling as the service I've received from Richard has been excellent. Very helpful, very responsive to all the emails that I've sent him and very competitively priced - you couldn't really ask for more. I bought a pair of Lake CX237 Wide Fit cycling shoes but ordered the wrong size initially. However this problem was soon resolved with a slightly smaller pair which are really comfortable and well made. Thanks very much!

i recently purchased a pair of Lake CX 237 wide fit size 43 and from the point of order Richards communication due to not having stock was brilliant.
as soon as stock arrived i was informed and the order was shipped.
The shoes have great width and perfect length for a UK 9, built quality excellent.

Richard at Salt Dog Cycling was a pleasure to deal with and offered his expert advice on a recurring problem I was having in selecting the right shoe to solve hot spots and numbness I had been experiencing whilst riding. He advised to go with the Lake CX237's wide fit option and even though the size was not correct first time he still managed to source the next size up when other retailers were out of stock. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Salt Dog Cycling and Richards personal service is commendable and always contactable should you have any queries or questions. It is very difficult to find this level of customer service especially through web sales.

Goods arrived next day - needed to change an item - excellent and personal service turned this around and I had the replacement item by return. In a world of automated emails and never being able to speak to someone in customer services it is so refreshing to deal with a company that really cares about its customers. Well done and thank you! Super helpful and honest, guided me to best product not just the higher price!

I'm new to road bikes, didn't really know what I was looking for. Richard was really helpful spending time to explain everything to me, there was no hard sell and I really didn't feel like he was selling me things I didn't need. First item I order was an incorrect size (my mistake) and I needed the order chaging as quicly as possible for an upcoming race. Contacted them on the Monday and had the replacemt by Wednesday.

Just bought accessories to kit out my husband and toddler so that he can use his bike for the nursery run. We bought 2 helmets, jacket, lights and a lock.

Looking for a set of panier bags for a cycling tour. Not sure what I needed. Got good advice that helped me make up my mind and was able with confidence to place an order with saltdog. The bags arrived very quickly. Will certainly use this company again.
