I was really disappointed with the quality
I was really disappointed with the quality of the timber. Following the instructions precisely, the gaps were too wide to use the filler and there were several holes in the planks. When the arbour was completed it was really unstable and swayed at just a touch. The company was contacted and several photos sent and, while their emails were polite and seemingly intent on helping, the team decided the base was uneven. This is definitely not the case! I will put some right angle supports from the base to the uprights to see if this helps. Very concerned as at the moment, the arbour is a complete waste of money!

We’ve reviewed the concerns you’ve raised again, particularly regarding the stability and the gaps in the timber. Before we advise further, could you please check that all of the fixtures and fittings are fully secured and tightened as per the instructions?
Could you also send us a short video showing the issues you’ve described, particularly the movement/wobble of the arbour and the areas where the gaps are concerning you? This will allow us to see exactly what is happening in use rather than relying solely on the photographs and will help us determine the best way to rectify this for you.
Apologies again for the inconvenience, and once we receive the video we’ll review this further.

poor quality control
Panels and hinge supports were warped to the extent they were unusable. The centre window post was positioned in the wrong place, so this had to be moved before the windows could be fitted.

Waste of time
Emailed Shire Gardens for a price to replace Perspex in summer house doors, after replying to several pointless questions from them they finally said they would get a quote to me. Three months later still no price. However I have received several emails asking for a review of their service, I replied to their email asking them to contact me before I did a review, no reply to this. I have since purchased replacement parts elsewhere. Waste of my time dealing with this company.

Asked to review well i would if i had received my order but it should have been delivered Friday 21st got 2 txt to say its on the way but then received phone call at 9.20 to say driver was on the way back to yard as didn't feel to good. Whilst this could be the case I don't understand is why I could be given an alternative delivery there and then but told at 14.30 can't give alternative until driver gets back in the yard and they see how he is then its got to go back into QC to be wrapped again. As I have since read some of the reviews and it seems cancelled deliveries are common i hope the reason thay gave me was true and not the reason they have given to people in the past. I will amend this review when someone from shire decide to update me on delivery and I have actually had the summerhouse

We appreciate that receiving delivery updates and then being told on the morning that the driver was unable to continue would have been very disappointing, especially when you were expecting your summerhouse that day.
Unfortunately, the driver became unwell while out on the route, and we needed to make sure they could return safely. We also understand your frustration that we weren’t able to provide an alternative delivery date immediately and apologise that this wasn’t communicated more clearly at the time.

The Orchid is a beautiful design a bit…
The Orchid is a beautiful design a bit different to most. Its a lovely low profile so doesn't loom over our neighbours fence.
Delivered on schedule and complete with all required parts and fixings. Good instructions and easy to assemble. Just one minor hiccup with the roof alignment that needed a bit of carpentry.

It took 2 months to be delivered
It took 2 months to be delivered, lots of panels were patchy and the stain/treatment was poorly applied it also came with some bits missing but sent out promptly when I contacted them

Agreed arrival time extended due to an incident at their end and the new delivery time also failed due to a production issue which spoilt 2 planned parties (garden bar). Let us down drastically so we cancelled the order - not acceptable

Arbour was delivered nice and early within time slot. Driver was really friendly and helped put delivery in back garden as I am elderly and disabled. I am really grateful for his help. I would use Shire again for sure.

Ordered shed through screwfix for delivery by end of July, booking system allowed booking for late august with shire sheds.
No contact or text of delivery details, got to the day of delivery and called them to be told the same scripted story that other reviews have written. Order cancelled and build timeline destroyed. Disappointed

Ordered the lovely corner arbour
Ordered the lovely corner arbour. Was delivered but the driver noticed 2 panels were damaged and took photos. 2 panels came to replace them, quickly actually. They were wrong size! 2 more came to replace, they were wrong size, really don't know how! My husband took weekend off to build and they didn't come in time. Eventually the correct ones came albeit different colours. We put it together but lots of it was warped and very uninpressed. After sales was good but overall disappointed with the structure for the money.

We completely understand your disappointment, particularly as your husband had taken time off to assemble the arbour and the replacement panels were unfortunately incorrect on more than one occasion. We’re also sorry that the final panels arrived in a different colour and that you experienced issues with some of the timber being warped.
We’re pleased to hear that you found our after-sales team helpful and that we were able to work with you to resolve the panel issue, but we appreciate that this doesn’t undo the inconvenience and frustration caused along the way.
Your feedback regarding the sizing, colour consistency and quality of the structure is extremely important to us, and we will ensure it is passed on to the relevant teams. We’re very sorry that the arbour did not meet the standard you expected, particularly given the investment involved.
Avoid them like the plague
Ordered a shed at start of July, they changed the delivery date three times and still couldn't guarantee the new date would be honoured.
Customer service continually makes up excuses why there was a delay. In the end I got so fed up of their lies and terrible customer service I cancelled with the shop I purchased it from.
Given how many one star reviews they have here recently I can see this isn't a one off but how their actual business operates.

Delivery delays
I booked a date for my delivery. It didn’t come then I find out it’s not worth Shire. It’s through another third-party which was unreliable. I think they need to rethink their delivery process.
